“Family friendly restaurant with many options to choose from. Prices are very affordable considering the area it’s located in. They have monthly specials with discounted prices. They don’t make anything bland here. If you like lots of flavor with friendly service and affordable pricing, you can’t miss this place.“

“I always go here with my mom. It is our comfort AYCE hotpot place, and we always get the half/half pot with original/herbal soup and the regular spicy one. Then we get a bunch of other veggies along with the beef short plate...? (肥牛) and the lamb. We always choo1se not to upgrade to premium because we thought the regular menu was enough. The premium menu didn't really suit our tastes... they have this really nice lemon tea out front that customers are allowed to have before and during the meal, and there is also a sauce bar.“

“This is our second time here and it’s fantastic! The staff are very friendly. You grab all the veggies, meats, noodles, etc. that you want and there’s so much to choose from. The best part is that you like everything in your bowl :) The broth is very flavorful and just right in terms of spicy (I go for mild numbing). It is very affordable ($35 for two people with 1 lb of food each) compared to other hotpots.“

“Called on a Friday night and they happened to have a table for 5 available! Overall a very authentic experience - the hot pot flavors and ingredients are exactly what you would get in China (not Americanized at all). They also had a free sauce station which included side dishes! Like chicken feet. This also means the broth is quite spicy, as in "mild" is quite spicy already. We had a great time, and everything was delicious (except the tripe was not very fresh), and we finished the meal with free soft serve ice cream!“

“Absolutely loved this shabu shabu hot pot experience! The ingredients were incredibly fresh, and the broth was packed with rich, savory flavors. The variety of vegetables, meats, and dipping sauces was impressive. The ambiance was cozy and inviting, perfect for a relaxed meal with friends or family. The staff were attentive and friendly, ensuring we had everything we needed throughout our visit. Portion sizes were generous, making it great value for money. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking to enjoy a delicious and authentic shabu shabu experience!“

“Always a phenomenal time here. Constant quality of food and service. The only knock is it's a little smaller and not easy to accommodate larger parties. But the staff here is always amazing and as accommodating as much as possible. My favorite Shabu restaurant in the South Bay.“

“My brother and I came here spontaneously on a Thursday night and the restaurant was pretty filled but luckily we got seated right away. Make sure to go to the sauce bar while you're waiting for the food to come out; they even have free grass jelly. We settled on getting a split broth; we got spicy and beef tallow and tomato soup. We both preferred the tomato. We also got the lamb and beef combo, pork belly, vegetable platter, quail eggs, fish ball with roe, lotus roots, and udon. All the meats were good and the ingredients were tasty and fresh. My brother said this place was significantly cheaper and a good value compared to other non-ayce hot pot spots in the area. Definitely worth a try!“

“I think this place is very nice and welcoming. The food was amazing as well. There is nothing I would say is bad about this place. My mom brought me here as like a mother daughter date and I think it was a great choice. I see a lot of families eating here and celebrating. The service was great.Kid-friendliness: There are many kids that I have seen here.“

“Regular spot when I'm in the bay. Long wait time is normal during dinner. Just make sure you check and join the waitlist on yelp. Lots of options for AYCE. The food came out insanely fast just a couple of minutes after taking the order with the pad.Lastly, it's 2024 and still a bunch of uneducated peeing on toilet seats #SMH #animals“

“I have indulged in a late lunch at Tabu Shabu twice. The staff did a great job of describing the options and preparation process, after learning it was my first visit. They checked in several times to ensure things were going well and offered advice. There are a variety of protein options and the vegetables gave "farm to table vibes." The meat was high-quality and the ponzu dipping sauce was delicious.Parking: The parking directly in front of the restaurant is small and crowded.“

“It was our first time trying a hot pot. Everything was so delicious, especially lamb meat! It was so juicy and tender. Mushroom platter was a taste bomb. Bone broth was hearty and flavorful. Service was great! All the team was so kind and helpful. They welcome you with a smiling face and explain the menu in a detailed way. Special thanks to our server Chavez. He made us feel at home. We will come back:)“

“A solid four stars for this hot pot restaurant. The entrance looks impressive and the seating area looks nice as well, but there are some areas of the restaurant that don't look as on theme. The items are ordered a la carte and somewhat expensive, but there is a lot of variety in beef and lamb. My favorite was the beef rib eye. They have an extensive sauce bar with snacks like sesame balls.“

“Conveyor belt style AYCE hot pot which makes it easy for big parties but can be annoying when you have to wait for the specific thing you want that gets taken. The wait list is a nightmare so come early or use the help waitlist ahead of time. Service ranges from okay to good.“

“Napa cabbage tastes bitter which means it’s old and not fresh. The chicken wing has a smell, meat is not fresh. The atmosphere is nice. Waiters provide quick service. I will definitely come back and hopefully the above problems will be corrected.“

“20$ per person for all you can eat is a steal. We got the Spicy house broth and the Pork broth which were split in half - free of charge. There are better options on the menu that are extra charge but we opt out of that so we can have the bare minimum experience. We came when they first open again after their lunch break which was at 5 pm (deal ends at 6pm). It wasn't busy at all, just us and one other family. The staff didn't speak much English so it was a little difficult for us to let the waiter know what we wanted. Everything is self served so you just go to the sauce and meat bar and grab what you want in the big clear bowl. Their water cup was so small it's kinda funny but it does its job however it was annoying that we have to keep refilling every slurp. Meat was not the highest quality but it still tastes great! I would come here again just cause the price is so good. Hot pot usually ain't cheap in the Bay Area.“

“My family came here for a post-grad celebration for my brother and we were glad we came early. We didn't have a reservation, but we got there at 5 so there was no wait. Our table of 7 only wanted to do hot pot, and we got a short intro from our server on how to use the iPad ordering system. Bring cash to avoid the credit card fee. I got the Goku special broth, which was like a tonkotsu-style, milky and rich soup. I liked the sauce bar and I made a mixture of brisket sauce, ponzu, Goku hot sauce, garlic, and cilantro. Out of all the meats we got, the pork belly was definitely the best, then the lamb, then the beef. The pork belly was actually fatty and tender, and was so good with my dipping sauce. I found the beef to be cut way too thick, so it was pretty chewy even if it was a little pink. The seafood was a lot better, I liked the shell-on, head-on shrimp the most. It was very snappy and sweet meat and tasted very fresh. The seafood dumplings, tofu skin, pea tips, and quail eggs were other highlights for me. Every order that we put into the iPad came out within minutes, so it was very quick to get our food. I can see how you would have longer wait times when it is busier, but we chose a good time to go. It is a spacious place that seems popular, since it was definitely filling up around 6pm. There are definitely a lot of rules to follow and the quality is not as nice as other AYCE places I've been to, but the selection is pretty varied. 3 stars for meat quality, 4 stars for the rest of the hot pot options, and 4.5 stars for service.“
“Ok, we need some attention for this place. Drove past it once and was attracted by their northern Chinese style food menu. A group of my Chinese friends tried this place and it's amazing! The seasoning of the skewers really hit the spot of my childhood memories. I like their tofu, peppers, not a big fan of the lamb skewers tho. But I really like the lamb rib stew, this was really really good and rare to find here in the US. They have Napa cabbage and Konjac cake inside as well. The tea they served was jasmine green, which also tastes pretty good.“

“4.5 just because if you're looking for a 5 star restaurant, the decor is a bit dated and the prices don't reflect the quality (the food is delicious and affordable, shocking!) Star of the show: Garlic Eggplant. This dish is the lynchpin. It's spicy but not killer, garlic filled but not enough to ruin your breath, and the portions are amazing. Two / three inch slices of eggplant in lots of sauce that'll blow your mind. Vegetable egg rolls: a classic, a staple, and even more delicious when dipped in the garlic eggplant excess sauce. There are only three so sometimes it's hard to share, but they're substantial for egg rolls (especially when compared to other restaurants) Kung Pao Chicken: tender, juicy, mildly spicy, chicken with peanuts and red chili. This dish has become one of my absolute favorites! The portion size is massive and it's always steaming hot. Honorable mentions: sweet and sour fish, orange peel chicken, pepper iron steak Over the last year or so, we've been back several times. We've swapped proteins to experience the differences, we've sat in and taken food to go -- we've always enjoyed it. The woman who answers the phone, serves the food, and runs the register is always personable and helpful. It's not a fancy spot and I'm grateful for it. The food is the main event, as it should be!“
