“I've gone here at least 10 times before writing this review. No one has a better Dan Dan noodle than dough zone, hands down. The spice and the flavor and portion are all unique to dough zone. Everywhere else I've gone has peanut butter noodles. Their XLBs are reasonably priced for 8 pieces and consistent in quality. I know I'll be happy with these XLBs no matter when I order the (morning, midday, night), which can't be said to other places. Love their pig ear, Q-Bao, wontons, steamed and fried dumplings--literally everything on their menu. My absolute favorite thing about dough zone is that I can order many dishes and get variety without spending too much or ordering too much (quantity). For the ambiance, it has a sleek/modern look, so it feels clean. One of my favorite places to go!“

“This is my second time dining here at Uzumakiya and it has yet to disappoint. We arrived during the last hour of the lunch service and we were welcomed dearly by the staff. Upon seating we still needed a few minutes to decide what to order but our server was very patient and accommodating. the setting itself is very calm. The music choice isn't overwhelming at all and the restaurant seating is very spacious. We ultimately decided to start with the Spicy Chicken Karaage. It was crunchy with a good kick. Then we ordered the Spicy Uzumakiya Udon. Fortunately for me, it was not too hot and also rich in flavor. Overall Uzumakiya is higher up on the list for Udon places Ive tried in the Bay Area!“

“What sets Ox 9 apart from other establishments is their singular focus on the noodles, building a menu around their acclaimed handpulled noodles. They offer 6 different types of noodles which range from small thin noodles, to mid-range, to thick flat noodles. Patrons can dine on their noodles in a variety of preparations from soup noodles to stir-fried noodles. They also offer a modest selection of sides and other items such as their juicy pork and beef burgers. The store itself is on the smaller side, and if you arrive around peak dinner hour do anticipate waiting for a table. It's also worth mentioning parking can be a bit tight here, so you might find yourself parking at a nearby complex and walking over - not a deal breaker, but definitely something to note.We arrived around 6:30pm on a Saturday evening and were seated immediately. (Note: we likely just beat the dinner rush as a lot more diners started showing up around 7pm and had to start signing up on the Yelp waitlist for a table). We ordered their Lanzhou Handpulled Noodles (non-spicy, which they were able to accommodate - thank goodness for my sake), stewed lamb noodles, and their juicy pork burger. We went with the 2nd out of the 6 noodle options, which was a thin round noodle. Both noodle soups were flavorful and comforting. While the noodles themselves were cooked well with just enough bite and chew without being overly tough. I will note given the handpulled nature of the noodles you might find yourself struggling to find the end of one of them. If you're planning to share your bowl with others at the table, you can ask the staff for a pair of scissors to help you with cutting up the noodles so it doesn't feel like you're wrestling with noodles for the entirety of your meal. Last but not least, the juicy pork burger lived up to its namesake with flavorful, well-seasoned pork encased in a delicious crisp bun.If you're a fan of high-quality noodles, then Ox 9 Lanzhou HandPulled Noodles has to be the next stop for you as it'll happily satisfy that craving.“

“This is one of my family's favorite ramen places in the South Bay. The tonkotsu is excellent. I recommend the thick noodles and adding the special black garlic oil, which gives a strong punch of flavor. The egg is done perfectly and well seasoned. I recently tried their vegan ramen and I was impressed. I especially loved the grilled broccolini. My husband even wanted to trade a slice of pork for a piece of broccolini!“

“It's a wonderful homely restaurant with the best XLB I have ever had. The restaurant owner is sweet, the food is consistently great. We've had the XLB, Chilli Oil Wontons, sauteed green beans, Mapo Tofu, Chongqing chicken, Fried Rice with Chicken, Shanghai Chicken Noodles, Pork with glutinous rice in bamboo. It's the first place we take all our out of towner friends cause it is always a smash hit. Must try in SJ.“

“I am a noodles girly and this place really impressed me. The noodles were sooo so good -- fantastic texture & bouncy the way I love! The sauces mixed together is truly a symphony of flavors. The #20 has a umami, salty and spicy kick. This has been added to my mandatory list of places to eat at whenever I'm in the Bay Area. The only place in the 626 area I can compare to is 101 noodle express... but even then this place is just... so much better! PSA: THEY ONLY ACCEPT CASH. Ordered: #20 Chili Oil Noodles“

“You really can't go wrong with any of the noodles, the dumplings are good and so are the other appetizer. Service is good, atmosphere is chill. It's your typical Chinese noodle restaurant serving great food.Parking: It gets busy at dinner time and can be hard to find parking.“

“While they have no fancy name, let's call it a Special Noodle Soup restaurant 和記 鷄湯米綫. I was shopping in Cupertino area and felt hungry. My sister told me about rice noodles at a Chiu Chow (Teo Chew) restaurant nearby. So, here we are. It was about an hour before closing time. Looked like they had a busy day. We were seated pretty quickly. Order from the dry erase menu was pretty simple. We both ordered from the Design Your Own menu as 1-2-3. I got tan tan soup base with rice noodles and beef tendons. She got fish noodles with 4 different pig and beef inners and original soup base. Besides noodles, we ordered a Hainan Chicken rice plate on the side. Food came out pretty quick. With the Yelp check-in offer, we got the wood ear salad and smashed cucumber salad in a generous amount. The noodles were absolutely fresh and delicious. I wish I live in the Bay Area. I would stop by here often.“

“I'm torn on giving this place a 5 instead of 4 stars, only because the food is pricey. Neither the food nor ambience is "fancy," but nevertheless they provide a good meal. I would be much more of a regular here if the prices for meals and especially appetizers were a bit lower. The reason I decided on 5 stars is because I simply like the food. No other Taiwanese food I've found in the area packs their food with this much flavor. The service is good, but the food can take a bit of time to come out. I don't mind waiting here whether it's to sit down or get my food, but it is something to keep in mind. My two favorite dishes here are The Works (noodles) and the Fatty Red Fried Pork Rice Plate. Yes, the macros are not amazing but the taste is superb. The Works have the perfect amount of umami nuttiness while the fatty red fried pork has the ideal crispiness of fried pork but also an added sort of rich flavor (maybe from wine or some sort of fragrant marinade). My mouth salivates as I reminisce on these dishes.“

“The fragrant pot is delicious, but the price is a bit expensive (30+ per person, I didn’t take it away after I finished eating). Beef and mutton are hot pot slices, not thick stir-fried meat slices. They are delicious and can be added without any worries. Don’t order the unfamiliar meat dish that looks like a scallop, as it is fishy and bitter.“

“Food is always excellent A Service has calculated between a C minus and a B for the last decade I used to think it was a language barrier. Now I just think it's laziness. I had to get up twice to get things that I had ordered that just never came here and sometimes too busy giggling behind the counter“
