“Food is always excellent A Service has calculated between a C minus and a B for the last decade I used to think it was a language barrier. Now I just think it's laziness. I had to get up twice to get things that I had ordered that just never came here and sometimes too busy giggling behind the counter“

“Quick and easy lunch option in the area. Ordered a grilled pork bahn mi and it was actually pretty good. Good portion of pork that had good flavor, and wasn't overly salty. I would have liked more jalapeño and there was only one VERY thin slice of cucumber- so I think the overall balance of ingredients could have been better. But the bread was good and everything was tasty. Also tried two pork egg rolls that were surprisingly pretty good, but a little on the greasy side. Sandwich was $10.50 and 2 egg rolls were $3.50 so pretty good prices especially compared to what else is nearby. Overall, this is a good lunch option but nothing spectacular. I'll still be back since I work in the area.“

“This is hands down the best vegetarian Vietnamese food I’ve ever had. The summer rolls were fresh and delicious. I also had the vegan duck soup which had a great broth. It’s owned by a sweet family. Support locally owned businesses and come!“

“So glad my friend found this place on Google map. It is now one of my top pho to-gos for sure. Food is absolutely amazing. We ordered one porridge, 2 different pho & one egg noodle dish and had to share them bc all of them taste so good. The owner who runs this place is so nice and fun to talk to. Highly recommended!“

“Your typical hole-in-the-wall ethnic gem where the food is consistently authentic and very good. The service is also on point. It's nice to get a great Pho joint that doesn't require traveling all the way to Hanoi or even East San Jose. Highly recommend!Parking: Strip mall style parking so if the other mall businesses are also busy one has to park on the side street instead of the main lot.“

“More like 3.5 for us but that bread alone is with .5 stars hahaHad the beef stew with bread so I could take home the stew.It was made with riblets that were slow cooked and very tender. The soup was good, can't say it was my favorite, but I would consider eating it again if I were there. The bread. Can we talk about this bread? My goodness the bread was fantastic. I bet someone here knows where they get it. Imo ALL Bahn Mi should be served with this bread. It had a super thin, but crisp crust all around, very crisp but thin. This is the kind of bread that delivers the crisp without slicing up your mouth like bait. The inside was fluffy and soft...superb.The Bun Cha Giao Thit Nuoung (noodles with BBQ pork and imperial rolls) came with a fair amount of meaty and tender pork, flash grilling it would really elevate the flavor because it has good flavor. The sauce could use a little more fish sauce. The purple drink is a taro drink made in house. It tastes ok but the taro which settles at the bottom is very gritty. I think they should make it into a paste before using it in a drink. Like the taro paste you get at Bambu or what is served in Vietnamese desserts.“

“This has been my favorite restaurant since my husband first introduced me several years ago! Exquisite food and exceptional service, always! If you are in the Bay Area, make reservations; this is a popular spot and the demand is high! The Tamarine Prawns are amazing! As is the Clay Pot Cod! Honestly, you can't go wrong with anything on the menu!“

“This place has a classic, low key local vibe that really makes you feel relaxed and cozy. You can choose between booth seats by the window or table seating that works for both smaller and larger groups. Personally a big fan of their beef stew - loaded with fresh ingredients and the soup is absolutely delicious. The grilled chicken tastes good too, although the rice can be a bit on the softer side the day I had. Staffs are welcoming and wearing smiles all the time. Inexpensive price. Highly recommended if you’re in the mood for authentic and casual Vietnamese food!“

“This is my 2nd time at this location with my family. Each time we went on the weekend, it's super crowded. They are optimistic regarding seat wait times but it usually goes pass the estimated time, especially when you have a larger group. We asked the server while we waited for a table to order a medium fish first so it can arrive in a shorter amount of time when we get seated. We ordered the 7 course meal x2, along with 2 side orders and the medium fish. That was able to cover ~8 adults and 2 kids with leftovers. The food is delicious, the papaya salad has a good peanut crisp and feels refreshing. The main dish is to eat the fish in a wrap that you prepare on the table. My other favorite is the bo la lot, it's a lemon grass beef wrapped in a green leaf. The service was quick to get us our 7 course, we would see a server here and there occasionally. Overall, the food is awesome, I love it every time, they do have another location in San Jose if this one is crowded as an fyi.“

“Our family has been coming here for more than 20 years, back when it was located on Winchester and it's always a great experience. It's family owned so the service is great and they have a lot of great options that are accessible for someone who is relatively new to Vietnamese food. It might not be the absolute most authentic viet food but it's good, clean, and a very positive experience altogether!“

“I can't help but share my love for Green Lotus - a cozy haven for veg/vegan food enthusiasts like me! I've been here multiple times, and each visit has been wonderful- service and food! One thing that keeps me coming back is the fantastic pricing. Green Lotus offers an excellent range of dishes at pocket-friendly rates, making it a go-to spot for those looking for quality without breaking the bank.As a vegan, I appreciate the plethora of plant-based options available. From flavorful curries to savory stir-fries, Green Lotus has nailed it when it comes to satisfying my vegan cravings. However, I must mention the parking situation. It can be a bit challenging, especially on the weekends. But let me assure you, the culinary journey at Green Lotus is well worth the parking struggle. If you're a food lover like me, you won't let a little parking hiccup keep you away from this hidden gem.In conclusion, Green Lotus has become my go-to spot for a delicious and affordable meal. The love for their spring rolls, the variety of vegan options, and the friendly atmosphere have made it a favorite in my book. Despite the parking challenges, I'll continue to return for my fix of mouthwatering delights. “A great BYO Asian bowl spot on Stanford campus! The place is pretty popular with students, so there tends to be a line around lunchtime. Bowls are around $12, all meats are the same price. There is no seating inside, just grab and go, but there are some nice seating areas right outside.I had a salad bowl with half tocino and half panko chicken. Loved the texture and flavor of both meats, and the variety and amount of vegetables I got in my bowl. The tocino pork had a great sweet and savory flavor and the panko chicken was crispy and tender.Topped it off with the sriracha mayo sauce.Would definitely return to try their other protein options!“

“Had my first TBread experience yesterday and my oh my I'm craving TBread again ?. The bread in itself is an experience all together. I love how it's crispy fresh on the outside and delightful on the inside ?. I love and enjoyed the grilled pork Bahn mi so much, it wasn't over flavored, the meat was tender and just right with a combination of light spice from the fresh jalapeño mixed in with cilantro and the pickled veggies, mouth is watering again ?. Oh before I forget, I also tried out their Vietnamese coffee and WOW, wished I had 3 more. Glad to have discovered this place through doordash. ??“

It's not as good as their best but not bad for Sunnyvale! =) Some details: Was around 3:15 on a friday. Bread was fresh (I've had so many fresh ones from wannabe banh-mi places but didnt have the crisp) but with the right crispy-ness. Good vietnamese mayo on the bbq chicken.“

“I had a birthday lunch here and it was delightful! It was 6 teenagers which is really intimidating for a lot of restaurants but the wait staff was kind and respectful. The FOOD WAS WELL PRICED AND DELICIOUS.For $20 u get an amazing bowl of Pho and the biggest plate of bazil and bean sprouts I’ve ever seen. (But to be fair there were 6 people it could depend on the ammount of people there)The atmosphere was delightful! The wood furnishing with green cushions was adorable and refreshing while not too fancy to be intimidating. Will be coming again to try the coffee!Thank you so much Pho Banh Mi for hosting my 18th birthday lunch :)Vegetarian options: I wasn’t paying attention much but they do have bangin vegetarian food“

“As I've noted before, I've never been to this place. Evidently, if you drive by it, Google asks for a review. My kids seem to like it, so there's that.Again- soup is just lazy brothy food - diluted stuff to make it cost more per ounce.I do like French onion soup, though mostly for the bread and the imagined French superiority in all things peripheral to actual food (snails, frogs and goose liver).“

“Small, quaint spot. But service was dope. They're super nice. I decided to get a #4 and an iced coffee. While I waited, I was asked if I wanted my coffee strong or sweet. I got my coffee and was asked to see if it was to my liking, and it was perfect. The bahn mi was pretty good too and I got extra meat. Now THATS SERVICE. Although it's cash/VM only, the total was only $10. No tip was even asked. Vietnamese coffee at other shops go for $6 and up NOT INCLUDING TIP/TAX. This spot definitely deserves more praise. I'll definitely be coming by more often when I'm in the area“

“Came in on a Tuesday morning a few minutes after they had opened . We were greeted right away & were able to order quickly once seated - The decor is so cute & modern. I had ordered #25 bun bo hue & my mother had ordered #20 rib bone phone along side with some fried rice (#34) . Everything was excellent, the meat was so tender & the broth had such a great umami flavor to it that it was damn near addicting which made every bite bursting with flavor . Will definitely be coming back, with more people to enjoy“
“Best tofufa all around. Mom and pop store. Made on site and hot. I hope they don't retire. There is no other place anywhere close to their tofu pudding. The store ones do not taste the same, even fine dim sum restaurants can't compare. Memories of childhood in Hong Kong buying it from street vendors in their wooden buckets. Go early. If it runs out, that's it. Bring cash.“

“WOOO HOT. We went to Pho Nam and we got some bussing pho. It came out so hot, and it was fresh and tasty. The pho was super refreshing with tender and fatty meat. There is also really flavorful noodles and they were cooked perfectly. The broth is what makes the pho amazing. It is so tasty and with a little bit of like it has a complexity of flavors that both fills you up and tastes phenomenal and even more salty. The Thai tea with boba was also pretty good. The Thai tea itself was amazinggg with loads do tea flavor and sweetness, but the boba pearls were stale and tasted off. The service and ambiance were both average but the waiters were cute and were attentive. OVERALL Pho Nam is definitely a really good pho joint and if you are in the mood this will definitely satisfy your cravings.“

“Probably the best bahn mi sandwich I’ve ever had. A large roll packed with pickled vegetables and meat. I initially thought it might be too small from the picture, but mostly was I wrong. I finished it and was stuffed! The Vietnamese iced coffee was of the hook as well. Well worth a try.“

“It’s not east side San Jose but it’s close. Wish the prices were a little better and soup warmer. $7 orange juice had more water and sugar than real juice. Eggrolls are clearly from frozen. All in all great place because it’s close by my work“

“To start just want to say it is really a 3.5. Came in on a Saturday at lunch time. Place was pretty empty. Place is a bit on the smaller side. Service wise was just average. They took the order and food came relatively quickly, however server never came back afterFood wise orderedSpring rolls (3.5/5): was fresh, but nothing amazing. Would order again if craving spring rolls since they are reasonably priced comparatively Egg rolls (3.5/5): Nice and crispy and hot. Flavor was decent just needed a bit more punchBeef Pho + Meatballs (3.5/5): Well priced, noodles were a little on the undercooked side, broth mild flavor, meat decent cutsPork rice plate + shrimp (2/5): Would skip all rice plates if that was the standard. Small portion of meat, shrimp over cooked, flavor just meh (not worth the add on). Flavor of the pork was the only thing going until just got a huge piece of just fat....Over all this place is one of the few reasonably priced pho places I've seen these days. Will definitely be back to give the pho another shot and the crispy noodle dish. Definitely worth a try if your in the area“

“This place is decidedly "unfussy". You come here for the food, not the soft lighting. It's clean and has been updated in the last few years, but still sports that hole-in-the-wall chic. It's been my main place for Pho over the past 15-20 years.Parking: It's downtown Mountain View. There's loads of free parking all around, but if you come during peak hours, expect to spend 10-20 minutes looking for a space.“

“I really liked the pate in the cold cut banh mi. They spread it on thick. I added a fried egg for an extra $2. The egg was well done (no runny yolk). $22 for the banh mi and Thai iced tea. Felt like the Thai iced tea was mostly ice so I'd probably ask for less ice if I ever order it again. I'd come back if I need a quick meal.“

“One of the best pho restaurants in America so far.Not too sweet, not too salty, soup with beef stock and chewy noodles. The music playing inside the restaurant is so loud that you can't eat in peace. It's a bit disappointing that the menu is hard to read and there aren't many seats.“

“Fresh flavor to the beef pho and hearty portions. The only thing is you'll pay about $4-$6 more for pho than similar restaurants and I'm willing to pay it for the convenience of being close to home. I carried out, but do think there is a nice atmosphere to dine in. Took about 5 mins to get my order.“

“Service was great, lady in the front was very sweet. Gave me a hong bao which had $2 for good luck since it was around Lunar New Years time frame. Harder to park because it was next to the highway and auto shop with not that many areas to park. Pho biet: I would give a 7/10. Broth was more light in terms of flavor but it depends on tastebuds and some people might like it more light. Some reason, the pho noodles were a little stickier than I'm use to, might have been overcooked. Otherwise, it was still tastyShaken beef I would give a 7/10. The meat was not tender as I would have hoped but I did eat this later since I had it to go. It was just not that memorable. Worth trying again, could have been an off day. Nice friendly family in the back!“
“This place deserves so much more. I have been wanting to try this place since I moved here from Santa Barbra. There menu is quite different from want you expect from a Vietnamese restaurant. They are definitely a gem and true to every bite. I loved the way they didn't do just a traditional banh mi but their own version like the dipped banh mi and bone broth. The bread really stood out for me. Crispy exterior and soft and chewy in the inside. It really compliments the broth for dipping. The sandwich itself was very good and very filling, great for sharing. They had an assortment of other dishes like the sweet sticky rice & wild mushrooms. Little pastries and house drinks as well. The service was really nice and came out in a beautiful tray which was perfect to take amazing pictures of their food. Really smart actually. Will definitely be coming back and highly recommend to friends and family.“
