“Great atmosphere for a date night! We ordered the salmon tartare, rose tteokbokki, and kfc cauliflower for appetizers. All of them were great but I was most impressed by the tteokbokki!We followed with the short ribs and the basque cheesecake dessert. They were good but the appetizers were more impressive. I was also disappointed that they no longer did the sweet potato chiffon cake :(“

“Excellent service and menu suggestions. It was my family's first time to eat there and they made my daughter's 16th Birthday very memorable. The Happy Birthday card, acknowledgment and desert gave it an extra touch. Food was superb and quality of meat was amazing.“

“What a cute little spot in downtown! Stopped here for a girls night catch up and they had the perfect little room with a couch and fire for an intimate vibe. The ambiance is so perfect and cozy for a more relaxed night out. The bartenders were so nice and helpful when ordering. The food was pretty straight to the point but yummy so I can't complain. The viognier was crisp but I definitely enjoyed the Bella Montagna Sav Blanc more. I would definitely come back here for a date night!“

“Without any expectations, I was highly impressed. Their Easter brunch was fantastic. We had the caviar and monkey bread appetizer and they were the bomb. “Stumbled upon Devine for a late dinner with a friend. Liana took personal care of us and engaged with us at just the right level. The short ribs were super tender and flavorful and my friend said the seafood pasta was seasoned perfectly. The eclectic wine list worked very well with our dinner choices. The Basque cheesecake was the perfect capper. Highly recommend.“

“I met a friend at Chez Philippe and we enjoyed a leisurely midweek lunch. We both ordered the onion soup. It's perfection! We've both spent time in France and it's authentic. Our server was attentive but not annoying so. We were too full for dessert but next time I'm going for the tarte tatin.“

“This place is Amazing! The food and drinks (wine) was fresh! They had truffle popcorn and charcuterie boards which is very Upscale if you know your foods! The price was awesome and very reasonable. The owner (Manuel Vasquez) and his staff was very hospitable. I will stop in everytime I am in California. I'm from Michigan and we need more Wine Bar's here. I absolutely loved the items mentioned above. My friend loved it also, even though he never heard of truffle and charcuterie. This Wine Bar also had great pizza's. Love this place!!!!“

“The location is nice and the ambiance is great. It's a good spot for dates. I also attended a book club event hosted by Books Inc next door, where other readers met up, so it was also nice for that. It's worth noting though that the menu is a bit overpriced and the food is so-so. Plenty of wine options, but not so many great choices for table-sharing bites. Service is 10/10.“

“This is our "go to" place for special occasions and this visit was a little disappointing. I usually go for the steak frite, but with beets...no thanks. The duck was a little over cooked and the crab bugatini was too spicy. Brocoli soup, oysters, frites were top notch. We'll. come back.“

“Amazing location but local individuals are ignorant.Me and my husband had some wine which was amazing ….2 hour later , two Indians came in , ordered and sat next to us . After a few minutes, they started voicing , complaining that we were speaking on the phone (not directly but went to complain to the employee working )Very sad that because we were speaking on the phone “ we were non educated “.Location is very nice but these some local individuals are disgusting.Individual employee serving the wine and attending to the location was amazing :) would come back just because of his service“

“I stopped in here a week ago with friends for a glass of wine and some small bites before dinner. The staff was really friendly and we received great service! There were only two ladies working and the place was packed but they were able to still manage the crowd and you weren't left feeling forgotten. The food was really good and you get a lot, so much that we didn't need dinner after having the charcuterie board they prepared and we also had the pretzel knots which were delicious with the mustard sauce. They have a good selection of wine and beer. We will definitely go back to sample the other items they have to offer. It's a cute place downtown Willow Glen!!“

“Food was so good that my mom asked me to take her again just a few days later. We had the aged ribeye. The second time we went for Mother's Day and the Hostess, Angelina, was amazing. My parents are elderly and they asked to change our table several times for various reasons and Angelina was so patient and friendly and she made sure we got a table that both my parents were comfortable with. Then we got even luckier because Javier was our server and he was super friendly, professional, and nice. He really went the extra mile when I was concerned that my Dad hadn't come back from the bathroom. Javier went and checked on my Dad even though Javier was so busy. I highly recommend this restaurant. “AH-MAZING experience, from the moment we started walking in up through the end without ceasing until we left. The owner was in such a great mood he was singing (very well). He was friendly, happy, and it was infectious. I ordered the Pollo Niko and an Italian Soda The chicken and the sauce was delicious, rich and creamy. The mashed potatoes were excellent. “Overall, what stands out is the unique dishes and Japanese style seating option. Our group thought certain dishes were interesting and good enough that we would return. We're not rushing to go back, but we would return for the right occasion. Service is just ok ~Details~ Our waiter was not very personable or helpful when we asked if we had ordered enough food. There is a 90 minute time limit but frankly we finished our food in an hour and no one kicked us out. We stayed to chat and no one said anything about it, we had to flag someone down to get our check. On the pricier side for the service and the ambiance, as it was $40 on average per person. ~Dishes~ Really liked 1) Sake harami nitsuke braised salmon belly in soy-sake sauce - A solid favorite for all. 2) Tako salad (octopus) - All of us liked it, dressing was divine 3) Gindara munieru (pan fried cod with plum-garlic sauce) - 2 of us thought this was a great dish, one of us thought the sauce was too sour. 4) Kamo yuzu (grilled duck with tomato-yuzu-pepper salsa) - Unique, most of us liked it 5) Age nasu tofu (fried eggplant and tofu) - Delicious, soft silky tofu. Not our favorites 1) Mushroom tempura - All of us agreed it was a disappointment. We wanted more mushroom flavor out of it, but truthfully it did not taste like anything. They had matcha salt on the side (we think it was matcha salt) but that didn't really help either unfortunately. 2) Mentaiko fushion pizza (spicy cod roe, snow crab, mushrooms & bacon) - All of us agreed it was a disappointment. It was cheesier than expected. It had very little cod roe (we could not taste it) and there was only scattered bacon. The flavors did not meld as well together as we hoped for. No one in our group of 4 would recommend this dish. We had to place sauce on it to make it more flavorful.“
