“Best Indian Restaurant in Hayward. Food is so delicious and taste amazing. We tried Briyani, Garlic Naan, Noodles, MoMo(Dumplings), butter chicken and everything was amazingly delicious.”

“We are new to the Bay Area and went to this restaurant for the first time . Their service and food was excellent! I am North Indian and not easy to please with North Indian food but I have not had such mind blowing chole kulche and sarson ka saag , makke di roti in the US . Definitely recommend . Our server, Sabi,was awesome, brought complementary French fries for my son and gajar ka halwa for us. Very hospitable, felt like we were in India. Would go back soon.Vegetarian options: We were told that the kitchen is separated into veg and non veg sections and they do not mix things up which is great!”

“I found this place by chance while looking for Cajun style shrimp. The place is small and cozy. The flavors were there, the sauce is just a bit lighter and on the oily side than my regular place, but still tasty. The garlic noodles are also very good. My husband asked for chicken wings and they were decent, but nothing special. My biggest complaint is that I was trying to place my order over the phone for take out and the phone was not in service. I know these days you can place orders online, but I was driving so doing the call would have been much easier for me. & If you don't take phone orders that's fine, but then you shouldn't list the number as an option. The prices were fair, the service in person seems to be great so I plan on coming back and trying other things on their menu.”

“I came here on a reservation as this restaurant is incredibly small. There are only 2 tables that can hold a group of 4 each, maybe 2-3 tables that can seat 2 people, and a couple seats at the chefs counter. I heard the server quote a wait time of 1.5 hours to a group who had come in without a reservation looking for a table of 4, so make sure you make a reservation! After ordering, it takes quite a long time for the chefs to make your sushi, I think we waited around 30 minutes? But that's because everything was cut and made fresh. Make sure you have good company to chat with or else the wait will bore you!For a group of 3, we got 2 nigiri combos, 1 sashimi combo, 1 spicy salmon maki roll, 1 negi hama hosomaki roll.1. Nigiri combo - 8/10. This was a great value for for only $25! You can pick 7 nigiris as well as a chef's choice maki roll. I really enjoyed the Kanpachi, Kurodai, and Ika because they torched the top for some smokey flavor. Our maki roll of the day was the salmon & shiso hosomaki which had a hint of perilla leaf flavor! For the amount paid, it was definitely worth it!2. Spicy salmon maki roll - 9/10. This isn't your standard spicy salmon roll where they mince the salmon with some spice. These are strips of whole salmon so you really get to taste the meaty parts of the salmon. It was my favorite dish of the night!3. Negi hama hosomaki roll - 6/10. We all didn't think much of it. It was pretty bland and I thought that the rice in the roll overpowered the fish. It is a pretty light fish in the first place, so you won't be able to taste it much.Overall a great choice if you want some cheap and beautifully presented sushi! The menu is relatively simple and small”

“Wanted to give this local coffee shop a try. Located on a very busy street, it was nice that they had a small parking lot located next door. Once inside, the coffee shop is pretty small and gives off homey vibes. It took sometime for them to get to us but you can tell the coffee is made with care. Ordered the Mexican hot chocolate mocha. 10/10. It wasn't too sweet or too coffee tasting. It was a perfect balance. I will be coming back to get it again!”

“We ordered a variety of their recommended dishes including a noodle soup and goat dish. My favorite is still their chicken tikka masala with garlic naan. The tikka masala is a bit thicker in consistency and their naan is slightly sweet, which adds a nice twist.”

“I love this place! The guy always behind the counter is super friendly & helpful. And his wife definitely knows how to bake. I’ve never had anything but yummy here. Especially the cream puffs! They also bake their own Persian bread, which is incredibly hard to find in the East Bay. Highly recommend don’t listen to crazy bitter customers =)”

“This place is in an old strip mall shopping center. It used be a salvadorian restaurant before and they were ok. This place is much better. The food tastes pretty good . The burritos are huge and the tacos are regular sized tortillas( not street taco sized) and they were loaded with meat. Customer service was good. There's really not much seating her but it's OK I always take it to go. They have good salsas and sliced cucumbers. They also have pickled onions with habeneros (which are delicious) and slice pickled jalapeños. I think this will be my new go to spot for Mexican food.Parking: Lots of parking here”

“Probably one of the cleanest and nicest interiors of any Mexican restaurant I've been to. There's plenty of parking on the street and the parking lot attached to it has several spots as well. The indoors has quite a bit of seating and the service and food are unbelievable. I called in my order and the pick up process was as smooth as can be. We were so hungry we didn't even take pics! We ordered a super shrimp burrito wet and it definitely lived up to the name. I will say, being from New Orleans, I've never found anywhere that has large jumbo quality shrimp like in the south. I can't knock them for it but it did seem the burrito was heavy on all the other toppings and the shrimp was very small and relatively scarce. Overall the burrito was amazing, but I am still holding out for a place that has large jumbo sized shrimp rather than the smaller ones in the Bay Area. The other order was a Carne Asada burrito wet, and from what I heard it was delicious and was rated a 7/10. I'm glad I came across this place and I definitely plan to try them again in the future. Give them a shot!”

“Finally got a chance to stop by as it is a little bit off the beaten path. Ordered a 4 piece wings (Korean spicy), fries, and bulgogi kimbap. Wings were saucy and good. Fries were thin and crispy. The bulgogi kimbap was fresh and tasty. I actually drove back on the way home for another order of the kimbap. Nothing survived long enough for a photo.”

They are reasonably priced allowing me to try many more as there are over 30 choices from beef, pork, chicken, turkey, lamb, seafood and vegan just to name a few. “I love Nick the Greek, this location is newer and very clean - it's also right across from Chabot and next to a boba spot which means lots of foot traffic sometimes. I highly recommend coming here because they never fail to pack the bowls with so much food, the service is also great as they're kind and friendly! If you're a newcomer, I recommend getting the combo beef/lamb bowl and maybe get some fries or hummus with pita on the side! It's a very filling meal as it comes with rice and many vegetables in the bowl - which I love! I'm really getting a good amount of food for the price. Parking is ample, there is a lot of seating and it is perfect to bring large groups. Highly recommend coming here!”

I ended up showing up an hour before closing(had no idea they closed at 8pm on Wednesday) However my bartender Brittney let me know as I saw it fairly empty. Service was great as not many ppl there. No complaints on that part. Food came out fairly quick to my surprise (big thumbs up) Staff was very knowledgeable as they had answers to my questions. My service was great thank you Brittney!!! “Good food. If you’re looking for ambiance or full attention from a waiter or hostess, you’re not gonna get it. I am impressed with the one man show. Our waters were refilled and our food did take some time, but that’s not his fault. Good food takes time. This is a no frill type place. If you enjoy talking to your date or your friends, let’s just say this place won’t rush you out. My ribeye is very good, it was a thick cut with marble and $38 is an unheard of price these days. My hubby raves about his rack of lamb many times. We didn’t order much but we definitely got food coma. Didn’t get a chance to order dessert. Credit card machine didn’t work so luckily we had cash.”

The building is old, and it was reminiscent of my favorite childhood Chinese restaurant in Belmont, Hong Kong Restaurant (aka Hong Kong House of Feast). Great River is the only restaurant I've visited since that makes an amazing Twice Cooked Pork. As mentioned by others, the Hot and Sour Soup is delicious, as was their Mongolian Beef. Pot Stickers were good, I like them a bit more pan-fried but that's me. BBQ pork fried rice was delicious, but I wanted it to be just a bit more eggy. The family loved their Walnut Prawns, but that's never a dish I've enjoyed so can't speak first-hand! I look forward to trying the foil-wrapped chicken recommended by another Yelper!! Price and Portions were well-worth it.”

She also brought us soooo many bonchons (note you do have to order an entree for bonchons) We ordered a lot of food which did take some time to trickle out but we understand as Gina seems to be the only server that night. Korean pancake - 4.5/5 I loved this one cause it was thick and very crispy. My friend did say she prefers the pancake at Sisters House tho because it's thinner there Tofu soup - 3.5/5 it was a lil underwhelming and not salty enough and I feel it was missing a little depth of flavor. My friend and I both prefer the tofu soup at Sisters House BBQ Pork Sizzling Platter - wasn't very well charred. I don't usually get sizzling platters but the ones at Sisters House is better The fried chicken - 4.5/5 very good! I liked the crispiness of the chicken and inside was juicy. You do have to pay extra $2 for flavoring or for it to be crispy so keep that in mind. We did dip this into our tteokbokki/sausage sauce which Gina recommended Tteokbokki/sausage skewers - 3/5 I thought it was just okay for the price of what it was lol. I don't love the sausage but the tteokbokki did have a nice lil crisp to it on the outside but with that familiar chew once you get to the center”

“Like a blast from the past! Terrific St.Louis ribs, smoked to perfection. Try the Red Sauce it's like nothing I have ever had down in the Southern U.S., and adds a unique taste to the meat. Ruby my server was as pleasant as my meal was. And the restaurant itself was clean and organized and tastefully non updated. Sit at the counter to get the real feel here. Next time I won't order that. Combination Fried Rice was good and not oily. The fried rice here is better than Asian Delight, Yummy Restaurant & Little Namking. Also their honey walnut prawns is very tasty, soft and has the sweet sauce on it. It's perfectly cooked and not hard. So far they have the best walnut shrimp out of all the Asian restaurants I went to. Little namking walnut prawns is very hard and it was so hard that we couldn't even eat it and it didn't had any flavors to it. Also combination fried rice had a decent portion wish they put more and walnut shrimp had 11 pieces only. It's Friday night so we were expecting it to be busy around this time but right when we walked in, we were greeted warmly by our server Amanda and escorted to a table. She was funny, sweet and attentive! She always knew when to check on us! Our food was good, I got the cheese crusted sourdough burger with onion rings. The burger could use just a bit more seasoning on the patty itself, but I liked the spicy honest mustard. My husband got fish & chips. He said the batter was a bit sweet, but he liked it with the zesty cocktail sauce that tasted like it had a bit of pepper or wasabi to it. Very different! Overall, a very good experience! An amazing cake artist who also studied with the REAL Cake Boss; Buddy Valastro! Jorge's cake was moist with a real "killer" buttercream. We bought pastries, (try the bread pudding...yummmm) AND special ordered my Birthday Cake from him which will be in the shape of my Westie Dog. I will post it in May when I get it. The display cases were fully stocked on a Monday with heavy foot traffic, this is a true landmark that merits our support with a kind, gentle, talented owner who cares about his product and staff. Food presentation is humble, it makes you wonder is this gonna be good at first, but after you take a bite, you know it’s good quality. My friend and I ordered the sashimi dinner plate and two sushi rolls, all very tasty and priced reasonably. Really likes the food the vibe here and will definitely come back.”

Finally, I had some extra time on my way home, so I stopped in and ordered some food. Very old fashioned establishment that reminded me of a Foster's Freeze. They have plenty of options for food and desserts. I went with the quarter pound bacon cheeseburger and spicy fries. The food came out piping hot and delicious! The price was a little more than I was expecting as the burger, fries, and a drink ran me about $20! I should've grabbed pics of the menu since most of the featured ones are pretty old. I saw a few people eating these ice cream cones that had a mountain of soft serve coming out the top! Definitely need to try one next time. The burger and toppings were super fresh and well cooked. I would've liked my bun toasted a little more. The bacon had a great texture and tasted amazing, not that floppy, thin, tasteless stuff that some burger joints use. The spicy fries were potato wedges with a sort of cajun seasoning that gave them a very slight spice. They were crispy but also pillowy and delicious!Plenty of parking behind the restaurant. I will definitely be back again, but more so as a treat to myself.”

I got the Double Bulky Bacon Cheeseburger, with Fries and a butterscotch milkshake. I have to say the burger did not let me down. It was a pretty good size burger the meat was still juicy inside and it was a bit messy with their burger sauce but it added good flavor. It had shredded lettuce, tomato, and pickles as well. The fries were shoestring that was lightly seasoned with salt and they were still a little soft not too crispy which I like with those fries. If you like them crispy ask for them to be well done. The butterscotch milkshake was nice and thick, just wish it had more butterscotch flavor. Overall I really enjoyed everything and as far as price wise with all the price hikes everywhere else, it’s still a good deal for its price.”

I know these days you can place orders online, but I was driving so doing the call would have been much easier for me. & If you don't take phone orders that's fine, but then you shouldn't list the number as an option. The prices were fair, the service in person seems to be great so I plan on coming back and trying other things on their menu.”

Gourmet, is not the word that came to mind, however, the veggies were fresh and the burger was cooked to specification. The fries were good. Took a bit to get the order. My uncle got a burger and a hot dog. Same reaction to the burger but said the Hot Dog was really great. All in all, for two meals we paid about 40 bucks, that's about average, maybe high average, for two.”
