Fish is really fresh, good quality, FRESH ginger, pickled wasabi available. But it was way above average when presented with the food. If you want to impress your friends with delicious food look here.“

“First time - I called in my order. A kind gentleman answered the phone. I informed him that I've never been there and he informed me what's in the CA plate.. I ended up ordering a CA plate, salmon & grilled shrimp veggies, side salmon and egg rolls. He informed me that it would be ready in 10 minutes.When I got there my order was ready. A small , clean local place with about 4 tables. “This is not only an amazing vegan dining experience...but Ana is by far 9ne of the sweetest and kind hostess/owners I have seen. Dining is a beautiful experience inside and out. Japanese curry has a very different flavor than traditional indian/thai curry dishes. I highly recommend any of the curry entrées.“

“First Timer and we enjoyed it very much. We live in the city but always drove by. We were glad we tried Slice. Very clean granite stove tables, waiter was informative, helpful and great service. Dined in and finished entrees without leaving a crumb. Soup and Veggies are all you can eat. Amount of meat is first ordered. No sticky tables and presentation done well and adds to enjoyment.“

“Ordered New York & Shrimp to-go, white rice w/vegetables adding Miso soup. White rice was the best part, don't get me wrong the food was good just not worth $45.14. The Teriyaki sauce tasted like it was made by a white guy trying too hard to cook Japanese food.The vegetables were cooked perfectly! I became a bit spoiled for Japanese food in HB from eating at Matsu (Beach & Talbert) since 1978, but this was okay food, I really can't complain much. I am wondering why at 7:30PM on a Wednesday night the dining room was a ghost town?!?It was the best Japanese food I've had on Beach Blvd. in HB for a long time. Matsu has gone downhill since it changed ownership in the 90's, but I think I found my new favorite Japanese restaurant to eat at in HB.I think I was happy with my food overall, I'll give it a solid 7 out of 10. If the staff were a bit more friendly, I'd give you another point, let's see what happens the next time I visit this restaurant.Good job people. ?Parking: This restaurant is located in the old HB Fire Station across the street from Taco Bell, plenty of parking but would be better if it had a little bit more lighting.“

“I wish I had more pictures. A hidden gem ! I've lived next to here and have been missing out. I ordered the yellow tail sushi and it was so refreshing. Will definitely be back. Service is very attentive and location doesn't look like much on the outside but don't let that fool you. A+!“

“Sushi on Fire is one of my all-time favorite sushi spots. Every time I'm in town, I make it a point to visit. Even if there's a short wait, it's absolutely worth it. The sauces are what truly set this place apart--they're so delicious that I often ask for them on the side to control the amount. Everything here has a unique twist, making each visit special. The spicy tuna crispy rice is a standout appetizer and my personal favorite. If you're looking for a memorable sushi experience, Sushi on Fire is the place to go!“

My favorite would be the half beef/half chicken bowl, their cheeseburgers are also great and tasty, and they also have drinks and snacks on the side. Very quick and convenient for those who are in a hurry. They do take phone orders and have it right when you arrive, they also do take Apple Pay if you don't have cash or card! 100/10“

“I went to Sango recently since the Sango restaurant in Los Alomitos closed :'( the staff was very friendly and super helpful with my order. I ordered the Seasme Chicken which is what I would usually order at Sango. Their Seasme Chicken comes with rice, salad, carrots, coand broccoli. The main reason why I love their chicken is that their chicken is crisp and not overly salty. The Sesame chicken at this location was good but it seems it was fried a bit different? I'm hoping it was just the day that I went. But since it tasted almost the same I would still order it again. Note: -They have plenty of parking spaces. -They have plenty of indoor and outdoor seating -They are open on Monday to Saturday from 11:00 AM to 9:00 PM on Sundays they open at 12:00 PM to 8:30 PM“

“It is only Take-out. However, the employees there are fabulous! The ladies recognize me or my voice when I call. We've only met during the pandemic, and even with a mask, they knew who I was. The sushi is phenomenal. I won't go anywhere else. And now we can order ourselves online instead of calling! I did it while I was in the store on my way home; so easy. They always call me when it's ready. 5 stars all the way!“

“I just stopped in for the first time today while I was waiting for my car to be washed. I was pleasantly surprised! The spicy teriyaki sauce is absolutely delicious, the chicken is juicy, fresh and great quality. The rice is super sticky and moist. Service was fast and friendly. Will definitely be back!“

“Restaurant tucked away behind the Starbucks drive thru. I was able to phone in my order and pick up within 15 minutes. I stopped in around 2:30PM for a late lunch and only a couple of tables were taken, so it's a good time to avoid the crowd. I ordered the Orange Roll, which is a shrimp tempura roll topped with salmon. Since I got my order to go, the spicy mayo and eel sauce were packed in a small cup. I also got the Cherry Blossom Roll, which was a spicy tuna roll topped with tuna, green onion, and masago. Personally, I loved the Orange Roll the best! When I picked up my order I was pleasantly surprised to get the BOGO 50% off deal, they automatically gave me the discount. Yummy lunch and a great deal, can't go wrong!“

The rice was great for the foundation.I tried the volcano 2 and spicy mayo combo and couldn't really taste the heat at all. Probably needed more flavoring. A but bland. But the bowl size and portion for 5 protein is good. 15.99. Adding an avocado baby scoop is probably worth it at 1.50 extra to give your bowl extra texture. Enjoyed the bowl. Spice up the sauces.“
