“First time here. They semi- divided the 2 sides of this casual restaurant where you can decide to eat sushi at a countertop or poke at a table, but we just ordered and ate everything at a table. It's nice they offer poke, spam musubi AND sushi (rolls, nigiri, hand rolls). Most places don't do that. Price was reasonable for the area. Service was good. Just sushi took longer as only 1 person was making it.The fish and poke were all pretty typical compared to other places. Hand rolls were pretty big. “CHECK IT OUT! This is NOT just a grab and go place (as some people think). They make sushi FRESH, and you can custom order. Fish is really fresh, good quality, FRESH ginger, pickled wasabi available. Great to grab to go (not reallly a sit down spot, only maybe 4 chairs?), and have some yummy fresh and good quality sushi at home.“

“Went there for Mother's Day. The food was fantastic and plentiful. The service was genuinely warm and caring. Ambiance was adequate. The store front seemed to indicate a regular Japanese eatery. But it was way above average when presented with the food. If you want to impress your friends with delicious food look here.“

“A well-themed and delicious spot for ramen and sushi! I stopped by with some friends for dinner yesterday and had a a great experience here. The staff were friendly and it wasn't too crowded. We ordered several appetizers including the garlic edamame and chicken karaage. I ordered the truffle garlic ramen and my friends ordered the spicy miso ramen and tonkotsu ramen. Garlic Truffle Ramen 4/5 - The broth was rich and full of truffle flavor and the noodles were chewy and had good texture and absorbed the broth well. Plenty of bean sprouts, wood ear mushrooms, and bean sprouts were in the bowl. The egg was perfectly cooked. The chashu piece was good and tender but I was hoping for at least 2 pieces in my bowl. Chicken Karaage 4/5 - crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. Paired well with the sauce on the side. Garlic Edamame 5/5 - seasoned well with garlic flavor and the portion size was great and piping hot when it arrived. Salmon Truffle 4/5 - quite delicious and the flavors were well balanced between the truffle, ponzu sauce, and parmesan cheese. The micro greens added a good texture and each piece was rich but but not too overwhelming. Overall, we had a great meal and the ambience was chill and not too crowded. The art on the walls is pretty unique and adds to the overall ambience and I would definitely come back again. Check this spot out for delicious ramen if you are in the area!“

“I've tried many sushi restaurants in my lifetime but honestly, this is my favorite sushi restaurant! They have THE freshest sushi and excellent customer service. Clean, modern, cozy ambiance.. “Ordered New York & Shrimp to-go, white rice w/vegetables adding Miso soup. White rice was the best part, don't get me wrong the food was good just not worth $45.14. The Teriyaki sauce tasted like it was made by a white guy trying too hard to cook Japanese food.The vegetables were cooked perfectly! I became a bit spoiled for Japanese food in HB from eating at Matsu (Beach & Talbert) since 1978, but this was okay food, I really can't complain much. I am wondering why at 7:30PM on a Wednesday night the dining room was a ghost town?!?It was the best Japanese food I've had on Beach Blvd. in HB for a long time. Matsu has gone downhill since it changed ownership in the 90's, but I think I found my new favorite Japanese restaurant to eat at in HB.I think I was happy with my food overall, I'll give it a solid 7 out of 10. “I wish I had more pictures. A hidden gem ! I've lived next to here and have been missing out. I ordered the yellow tail sushi and it was so refreshing. Will definitely be back. Service is very attentive and location doesn't look like much on the outside but don't let that fool you. A+!“

The spicy tuna crispy rice is a standout appetizer and my personal favorite. If you're looking for a memorable sushi experience, Sushi on Fire is the place to go!“

“I went to Sango recently since the Sango restaurant in Los Alomitos closed :'( the staff was very friendly and super helpful with my order. I ordered the Seasme Chicken which is what I would usually order at Sango. Their Seasme Chicken comes with rice, salad, carrots, coand broccoli. The main reason why I love their chicken is that their chicken is crisp and not overly salty. The Sesame chicken at this location was good but it seems it was fried a bit different? I'm hoping it was just the day that I went. But since it tasted almost the same I would still order it again. Note: -They have plenty of parking spaces. -They have plenty of indoor and outdoor seating -They are open on Monday to Saturday from 11:00 AM to 9:00 PM on Sundays they open at 12:00 PM to 8:30 PM“

“It is only Take-out. However, the employees there are fabulous! The ladies recognize me or my voice when I call. We've only met during the pandemic, and even with a mask, they knew who I was. The sushi is phenomenal. I won't go anywhere else. And now we can order ourselves online instead of calling! I did it while I was in the store on my way home; so easy. They always call me when it's ready. 5 stars all the way!“

“If you're ever in the area, this is the place to go. Delicious poke bowls! I ordered the build your own bowl and piled on the toppings. They have a red type of brown rice, which was very different but complemented the poke and toppings so well. The salmon and ahi tuna was fresh, and I thoroughly enjoyed my bowl. We also ordered the seared ahi tuna spring rolls, which was a new way for me to eat spring rolls. The service was excellent too. They offered a lot more on the menu, such as appetizers and dessert, but I was also filled up by the one poke bowl, so good!“

“We parked in the self park area. A gentleman walking past us seemed to know where he was going so I asked him for directions to the restaurant. He said he was going there and would walk us over. We walked into a mini restaurant area. We got to our restaurant and it was so cool! This place is so cool with all the fish hanging up on the ceiling. Our seat was right in front of the ocean. What a view! The atmosphere was a joyous one and the restaurant was filled with 20-40 something's. Everyone was literally laughing and having a great time. It's a laid back beach restaurant. The only thing is they have no bathroom. But so you can walk off your meal it's real close to a Vietnamese restaurant which has a very large bathroom outside their restaurant. It's nice, the stalls are very large and it's very clean. They have takeout and the meals are quickly made. I will be back to this fabulous restaurant! Our meal was one of the best Salmon we have ever tasted! It did not smell fishy and it was barbecued and very tender with a slight Smokey taste.“
