“I must say- I was skeptical at first because I'm so rarely impressed by Thai food. I have the unpopular opinion that it's hard to find exceptional Thai food but LET ME TELL YOU!!! This place is SO GOOD! The panang curry so good, but the tum kha soup was probably some of the best I've ever had. The absolute best dish we ordered was the sizzling tofu!!! Do yourself a favor and give this place a visit for fast service and the best sizzling tofu ever!!!“

“My numerous visits to Thai Soul Kitchen in San Jose have become a cherished ritual, thanks to the gastronomic delights that remind me why I fell in love with authentic Thai cuisine. Each experience is a journey to Bangkok's bustling streets, captured within this culinary haven's walls. The Pad Kee Mao, affectionately known as 'Drunken Noodles,' remains a highlight. The dish is a complex symphony of flavors, expertly executed to offer a spicy kick that is bold without overwhelming the palate. The broad, flat noodles dance amidst a medley of fresh Thai basil, vibrant bell peppers, and succulent chicken pieces, all wok-tossed in a rich, savory sauce that clings to every noodle. The heat from the chili is perfectly tempered by the aromatic herbs and the subtle sweetness in the sauce, making it addictive in its complexity. Then there's the Northern-Style Thai Sausage, a dish encapsulating Thai Soul Kitchen’s commitment to traditional recipes. Each sausage is a revelation, filled with minced pork that's seasoned with a curated blend of lemongrass, kaffir lime leaves, and a gentle heat from red curries. Grilled to perfection, the sausages boast a crispy exterior that gives way to a moist and flavorful interior. The accompanying fresh slices of cucumber and peanuts add texture and are a palate cleanser, enhancing the sausage's rich flavors with each bite. Thai Soul Kitchen is more than a restaurant; it's a testament to Thailand's rich culinary landscape, offering an escape to its soulful food streets with every dish served.“

“I had a wonderful time at this restaurant! The atmosphere was cozy, and the service was exceptional. The staff were friendly and informative, making us feel right at home. They even went out of their way to ensure the child in our group had a great experience, providing a fun kid's plate and sprinkles on their ice cream. As for the food, it was amazing! The roti and drunken noodles were particularly delicious - definitely must-tries.Overall, it was a fantastic dining experience, and I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for great food and warm hospitality.“

“Amazing food!! Get the famous Amok, it's the softest fish I've ever had. When we arrived at 6pm (on a Saturday night) there was nobody there which was slightly off putting, but we saw a lot of people getting takeout. After we started eating it was clear the food was delicious and people just weren't feeling the dining room. Honestly, if you can get past the empty floor and dated seats, it's a very pleasant dining experience. I hope more people give this place a shot. It's really great and deserves your patronage!“

“Not a bad spot. The Pad Khee Mao with beef was really good. The chicken satay was nice and there were a lot of veggies in the spicy rice. The yellow curry was ok but really watery which I'm not a fan of. Still, I would come back for the noodle dishes.“

“If you're craving Cambodian cuisine, make sure to visit Angkor Chef, a fantastic Cambodian restaurant located in downtown San Jose. Owned by Channy Laux - Chef and her husband, they've been serving up delicious dishes for about 6 months now. Tina and I were thoroughly impressed by their excellent service and mouthwatering food. The restaurant boasts a sleek and modern design, and we particularly loved the beef skewers (សាច់គោចាកាក់). We definitely will come back for more. #supportlocalbusiness #khmerfood“

“Small but excellent place w really fast service. Authentic tasting Thai food . The egetabels were super fresh and crunchy. Highly recommend the khao soi, the chef was super accommodating to switch out the fried chicken with fried tofu instead. “The food here is so fire! My friend recommended this place to get dinner before an event at San Jose Civic, and I'm so glad she did. They were able to accommodate my friend's shellfish allergy and vegetarian diet. I appreciate their effort to ensure she was able to safely eat the food, and removing the fish sauce didn't affect the quality or flavour at all. If anything, the food tasted even better because it didn't rely on one ingredient for its flavour profile. Highly recommend this place and look forward to stopping by again when I'm in the area.“

“Good Thai food and they support zero waste -- I can bring my own takeout containers and they fill them up. :-)“
“We decided to try out this place on a whim and I'm so happy we did!We called in ahead of time and the entire order took less 15min. It was a Tuesday night, an hour before closing, and wasn't busy when we arrived. In fact, we were the only patrons. TAKE OUT ONLY - There are no tables inside the establishment, so don't expect a dine-in date night unless you intend to hang out in their back parking lot and eat in your car. One interesting benefit to this restaurant is that they offer you the choice to pick your vegetables! PORTIONS & PRICING - Portions are super generous! Pricing based on quality + quantity is very reasonable compared to other places across the Bay Area.SERVICE - Based on the interactions over the phone and upon pick-up, service was pretty standard. HOUSE PAD THAI ($14) - This was absolutely *chef's kiss* delicious! It was soooo flavorful, and the noodles were just perfect. Ingredients consisted of chicken (which were abundant in quantity and size), carrots, zucchini, bean sprouts, green onions, eggs, and tofu. For an additional fee you can choose other proteins. They even packed the chopped peanuts in a separate container which I really appreciated. TOM KHA SOUP ($16) - We ordered a large and the 32oz container was filled to the brim. This was also amazing! It was still piping hot when we got home and opened it. I almost burnt my lips because it was so hot. It came mushrooms, broccoli, carrots, zucchini, and onions. The flavors were very well balanced. PAD SEE EW ($14) - He ordered it with chicken and shrimp (+$2). I tried a little bit of it and I thought it was just ok. Nothing to write home about. He felt the same. Their standard ingredients consisted of eggs, onions, and carrots. The menu says it comes with broccoli too, but I don't recall seeing any in there.THAI MILK TEA ($5) - It was pretty good. It was sweet though. Like REALLY sweet, if you like that. I'm not sure if the sweetness level can be customized or if boba is offered for an additional fee as I didn't ask. If you're looking for a nice little hole-in-the-wall restaurant, this might be your spot! I'll definitely be coming back to try their other dishes.Don't forget to check-in for 20% off your order! :)“

“We discovered this little treasure by accident. The food was delicious. Disappointed my dish Ocean in a Coconut didn’t come in a coconut shell as described in the menu but perhaps coconuts aren’t in season. It did contain slices of coconut. My husbands mango curry chicken was to die for. Wonderfully sweet chunks of mango.“

“This restaurant catered the recent fund raiser for the Cupertino Historical society and the food WAS TO DIE FOR! The best food I’ve ever had at such an event. Standouts were the pineapple rice, the vegetable pastries the chicken satay the pad Thai and cooked chicken on a skewer the desserts were great too - little candied strawberries and tiny slices of an amazing cake. We are staff and we were just swooning over the tastes of everything. I want to take my mom to the restaurant now“

“It’s not easy to find vegetarian Thai food, esp if you don’t want any fish sauce in your soup. Lana Thai was such a great find!! Their Tom Yum soup is excellent! We also really enjoyed the vegetarian Thai basil fried rice, pad see ew noodles, and Tom kha soup. Their fresh summer rolls with peanut sauce are great too- light and refreshing!“

“Excellent flavors in all the dishes we ordered. Tom kha with chicken, pumpkin curry with beef, pad see eew with shrimp and eggplant basil stir fry with shrimp. The sauces were out of this world. Shrimp succulent and perfectly cooked. Only shortcomings are that the beef was a tad tough and the noodles overdone that they were completely broken up… but it was so delicious that it didn’t stop us.“

“Chanced upon this hole in the wall kind of restaurant across from SJSU campus, craving for some good Thai food. We ordered Thai Iced Tea, Fried Chicken over Fried Rice, Vegetarian Egg Rolls and the Lamb Curry Speciality all for $59, including a $2 extra for using Amex credit card.Lots of piping hot food, well plated and served by a sweet hostess. If not for the inside run down decor, this restaurant is worth every penny. Like they say, don’t judge a book by it’s cover…food here tastes pretty awesome if you come in hungry!“

“Always fresh & bomb. Sometimes we order this for work meetings or I pick it up for dinner for my kids & I. This particular location is close to my house however there's no parking. You have to pull up or have someone drive you to pick it up so you can run in. I usually order by phone. Rice, beans, carnitas & tortillas.“

“I can't count the amount of times I drove to Grand Century/ Vietnam Town just to grab Thai Lover. They are located in the food court of Grand Century ( go through the main entrance, make a left to go to the food court, and they're the first one). I would say the have the BEST CRAB PAD THAI.(I have also tried their vegetarian pad thai and their shrimp pad thai. I love them both). The cashier was friendly and nice. She warned me about getting the Pad Thai spicy... their spicy level got me sweaty! Good thing I got a thai tea to wash down the heat (and it was only $4!!)“

“We wanted to eat something different from usual weekend lunch so we went this place and was pleasantly surprised with the aesthetics, very clean, neat and spacious and very beautifully decorated.Coming to the food, there were a lot of vegetarian options. What we ordered was way too delicious to leave behind anything. I requested for warm water and they were kind enough to accommodate it.The soup was just relaxing and the curry puff reminded me of an Indian snack but the best part of lunch was the drunk noodles it was just awesome. So overall the place is definitely worth going back again and again.“

“This is some of the best Thai food I have found in the Bay Area. Their curries in particular have quite a smooth flavor - I would recommend the Panang, the Red, or the Massaman. I find it hard to tear myself away from those, but when I do, I have had an enjoyable time with both the Pad Thai and the Pad See Ew. And if one is getting takeout and wants rice to eat later, the Siam Fried Rice is great. Tomato in fried rice is not something I have seen before, but it tastes great in this! Frankly, I'm surprised I rarely have to worry about getting a spot - this place is astonishingly under-utilized for being so amazing. Probably because a lot of folks do not know about them, but they keep my vegetarian partner well fed, and she is a bit of a picky eater besides, so I would like to keep them around and in business! Finally, they are doing an amazing job of staying open and efficient during the Covid-19 crisis, implementing better order/online and cheap delivery options. Thank you so much Thai Erawan for doing a great job, and I hope more people eat there so that you can always be around! (Oh, and the heart-shaped rice-moulds just happened to be very on point the first few times I brought my partner there - so extra points in my book for that!)“

“The Golden Triangle was a yummy restaurant specializing in Thai and other Far Eastern cuisines and offers a vibrant dining experience. During our visit, we ordered 2 appetizers and 2 main dishes. of dishes. We savored the crisp papaya salad, succulent chicken skewers, creamy green avocado curry, and the fiery Tiwanese chicken, which featured their homemade hot sauce. While all the dishes were impressive, they were served simultaneously, making it slightly overwhelming to manage all at once.Although the service was somewhat slow, the staff were genuinely friendly, adding to the welcoming atmosphere of the restaurant. Overall, The Golden Triangle provides a pleasant setting with excellent food, making it a commendable choice for those in search of authentic flavors from the Far East.Vegetarian options: A whole dedicated menu for vegetarians“
