“Celebrated my mom's birthday tonight at Tabi-Ji. We had a wonderful time! The restaurant is very cozy and has great decor. The host Jason was so nice and greeted us as soon as we walked in. Our server Andy was very attentive and made sure we had everything we needed during our meal. Our chef Royce was excellent. He cooked all of our meals exactly how we wanted and entertained us the whole time. I highly recommend this place if you are looking for Japanese or Teppanyaki for dinner! We'll be back soon!“

“I highly recommend this hidden gem here in orange county. The fish and the quality is top notch. Super reasonable. The waitress and owner was very polite and their so welcoming. I had to order the sushi about 2_3 times. It that good. The ramen is very fresh and so yummy. We are recommending this spot to all our clients friends and family. “Thai guys know sushi :-) Service with lots of smiles and fun. The place is near Chapman U. So it's lively with a sort of urban feel. Parking may be a little hard to find. The fish is quite delicious with general selection of your favorite fare. We were there towards the end of the lunch hours. So we basically closed out lunch. That's when the 5 sushi chefs, yes 5, start to relax and helped us empty some sake bottles :-) What was intended to be a brief lucnh turned out to be an early friday happy hour. But I'm glad the boss chef was cheerful and went along giving an overall delightful experience. This will be a repeat...“

“The sushi was amazingly ? fresh. The place was clean and the presentation was on point. I loved the quaint atmosphere. We had an appetizer of blue soft shell crab. The breading was a bit thick and the crab was rather moist. The flavors were good but I'm not sure I would order that if I went back. Only because the balance of bread to fish ratio was so so. I think this combination could have been pronounced better with a sauce. We also ordered some egg rolls but again, their sushi was so good, had I to do over again I would have saved all my stomach space for another roll instead of the appetizer. The sushi was 5 stars +, the egg rolls 3.5*, and the soft shell crab 3.5. The mango tango roll had so many flavors going on I did not even want to use the soy sauce as it may overpowered all of the other delicate flavors happening within the roll. Same with the crazy monkey, loved the cashews and sauces and did not want to overpower the delicate flavors with soy sauce. The service was attentive to all of our needs. We also had Yuki Sake and that was delicious with a slightly sweet taste but not overwhelming. “Small, husband & wife shop. Beef and Chicken Teriyaki Bento - came with salad, 4pc California rolls, 2pc egg rolls, and rice. Heavy packed with the rice and meats. Tasted actually pretty scrumptious. Only minor complaint would be the beef was tuff.“

“Visiting from out of town and came across this cute ramen spot. The owner was so, so nice, as was the rest of his staff! I got the Black Ramen combo with the Spicy Tuna with Crispy Rice. My husband got the Spicy Tonkatsu Ramen combo with the Spicy Tuna Crispy Rice as well. Both ramen were great! Deeply savory broths and the chasu pork was so tender and flavorful! They also put a generous amount of spicy tuna on the crispy rice, which was a tasty appetizer. This is a perfect dinner on a chilly evening. Also, a special thank you to the sweet owner who gave us two iced teas on the house. Made our night! :)“

“KAI Sushi is an amazing restaurant. We love going to family owned businesses and supporting them. We were in Orange County and wanted sushi and found KAI. We live an hour away and will definitely be going back. The place is very clean and looks like they just opened yesterday after 16 years in business. My son even made a little friend with the owner’s granddaughter while we were eating. Thank you for the amazing food and great service. We look forward to our next visit!“

“Hands down the best rolls we've had in the greater OC/IE area. We've tried numerous well-rated sushi spots throughout the area over the past couple years and while some were good, they just weren't *great*. Sushi Boom though is *great*! They have a nice but not overwhelming selection of fresh, tempura, baked, and veggie rolls as well as soups, appetizers etc. The rolls were so fresh tasting and well-balanced. I had the OhNo! and the Something Special both of which have a little spice to them but not scorch your mouth hot. The restaurant is small, but we had no problem getting seated right away at 7:30 on a Friday night. Looks like a lot of people order pickup/takeout. 100% recommend. We will definitely be making the 30 minute drive out here next time we want sushi.“
