“Came for lunch with my gran about a month after my grandfather passed. It was my gran's first outing since the funeral and i was worried but our server was this adorable silver haired woman named Rebecca. She had my Gran laughing the whole time. We ordered combos and the suggested jalapeño watermelon margaritas, which were spicy and refreshing. We needed a nap afterwards because we were too stuffed! My gran won't stop asking when we can go back. Thank you South of Nicks for lovely meal, and Thank you Rebecca, for helping a family member feel normal after tragedy. You are in our prayers”

The chef graciously substituted the fresh vegetables (carrots and asparagus) for the pasta when asked. Of all the restaurants we tried during our weeklong visit, Beachfire was my favorite!Dietary restrictions: Able to substitute low-carb options.Parking: After 6 pm, plenty of nearby street parking.”

“I have to say. My mom has never been out here and I personally live in Phoenix and haven’t been in this area in 9 years. So, we randomly picked this place and wow. I haven’t tasted something so delicious in probably 5 years. Every piece of shrimp was so tasty and juicy. I also got the Black something salmon. 11 out of 10. Every single item I ate was full of flavor and the server was amazing. Best restaurant experience my mom and I both agree. Top shelf. Just to give contrast. I’m 47 and my mom is 73. Pleasantly pleased”

“This was an impromptu lunch as we toured San Clemente and drove town to the ocean highway tp see the long and beautiful coastline in Orange County. And then we saw the pier and Fisherman's at the base. The scenic beauty of the entire Pier environment, the buildings around it, the ocean, the human presence, it was all idyllic. After walking the pier, watching the surfers, fishing aficionados, and taking in the sun, we decided on lunch and there it was. Seating at a table overlooking the beach was instantaneous. The menu is extensive and the beer menu has plenty of the local microbrews. I had an awesome grilled chicken sandwich on a focaccia and some incredibly tasting Cole slaw. Relaxing, superb service, great food, beautiful scenery and a good time. What else can one ask for?”

My bf ordered the beef pepper steak I had a try as well the beef is so juicy and tasty as well. We went in before 4 pm so we ordered the lunch portion which is huge we didn't even finish. Both times were awesome!Eight off the freeway with ample parking and excellent service. Food is made to order and priced just right.I enjoyed my late night breakfast which consisted of their new stuffed strawberry pancakes! Also had eggs, sausage and bacon. “As a hospitality and tourism instructor the customer service was an embarrassment to say the least... Kaya appeared to be anything but welcoming. She told us to pick a table with 'two chairs only'. We selected one away from an open window since the weather was slightly cool for us being travelers. We asked if she could turn the ceiling fan directly above us off. She replied with a hard sigh, "I can turn it down, but I can't turn it off." She walked behind the counter and stated out loud to her coworker, "I get so annoyed when people ask me to turn off the fan". We just walked out to not annoy her further.”

“The best service I have ever had at a fast food restaurant (to include other in-N-Out restaurants). I had somebody open the door for me when I walked in and greeted me very warmly. I had two cashier contacts and the guy who gave me my food. All were super warm and courteous. The team and management need to be commended. This is how restaurants should run. And if you’re wondering, I do not know anybody who works at this restaurant nor do I work for In-N-Out. I just appreciate being treated right.”

I had an açaí bowl regular size and it was very generous, full of fresh fruit and gluten free granola which made it sweeter.The açaí itself was pretty sweet on its own so I would probably not take the granola next time. The açaí was the correct consistency. Not completely frozen like some places serve it but very cold like a thick smoothie which is how it should be served.Service was great, nice chilled vibe and you can tell it’s not a huge chain but a local business which makes me want to come back and try some of their other bowls, coffees and bakes.”

But what truly elevated my experience was the delightful conversation I had with the gentleman at the front. His warmth and hospitality added an extra layer of enjoyment to my meal. Plus, the ambiance of the restaurant was very surfer Cali vibe. If you're craving good American food, Burger Junkie is the place to be!”

“I was looking for a quick bite before going to the San Clemente outlets and saw Surfin' Chicken Grill on Yelp. What a great recommendation for lunch. It is less than a 5 min drive from the outlets and close to the freeway. Nice size parking lot, dining space inside and outside the restaurant. It is a small shop inside a dying strip mall, but don't let that dissuade you from going. I got the half chicken and a small side of pinto beans. The total was about $14. The fresh roasted chicken, they drizzle a yummy garlic sauce on chicken before serving, came with 4 corn tortillas, a tiny cup of salsa (could have used more, but they charge for extra), some lettuce and guacamole. Chicken was flavorful though the breast meat was a little dry so the garlic drizzle and salsa helped a lot in the tacos I made. Will come again when I return to the area.”

The ambiance was industrial and open but we had a corner booth with a small table and chair added and were all comfortable. The menu intrigued me as I like Ono Hawaiian. They offered many traditional Hawaiian offerings so it was difficult to pick one. I opted for the Luau Plate that came with a variety of proteins that I could sample to include pig, teriyaki beef, teriyaki salmon, Portuguese sausage, and shoy chicken (crispy skin on chicken thigh) and it came with 3 sides. I chose the pineapple fried rice, Hawaiian Mac Salad and roasted veggies. Let me warn you the plates/portions are huge with food good for sharing. The cost of all that food was under $21! We ordered the Hapa Nachos as an appetizer it too was huge with a generous amount of pork piled on top of a plate full of restaurant style corn chips with lots of gooey cheese, jalapeno and garnished with green onion and came with several sauces. The pork was really good and reminded me of a luau l went to while in Hawaii some years ago. My grandkids got teriyaki burgers which were good and topped with lightly grilled pineapple. It came with a side and they chose fries that were crispy and seasoned which was also tasty. My daughter had the chicken yakisoba with ramen style noodles stir fried which also was very good. My wife wasn't that hungry but had a side of the pineapple fried rice and a side of the macaroni salad. We tried the macadamia nut Mac & cheese which was good but for me a little on the bland side. On my luau plate it also came with pickled mango and coconut haupia (gelatin) which was the hit of the night. My wife and daughter tried mine and loved it so much that they each ordered their own. For 6 full meals with an appetizer and a little dessert the bill was $165 after tip! Service was excellent and attentive and the server answered all our questions. The food came out pretty quickly and hot. I will definitely eat here when we visit San Clemente again. We didn't trv anything from the bar but they had a Sunday drink special of $5 draft beers and $6 IPA's. Enjoy”

“I have to rate The Mediterranean Rim on Del Mar 5Stars. Their food is Always consistent, and always consistently delicious. Such a cute and cozy place. Its our favorite “date night” restaurant in town. I personally Love the goat cheese salad, Squash Soup, Skirt Steak, Fish, ?Wine sections are great, and the sauces they create are fantastic. Must add the best homemade cheesecake for desert. Thank you.”

“I don't know why Pedro's has the mediocre rating that it has here, but I disagree. Pedro's is a perfect example of a place you go after a day at the beach or at night when you're just craving something quick yet not a chain fast food spot. Sure it might not be on any critics list but it doesn't need to be, it's simple yet still hits the spot when you want a good shrimp/fish burrito or taco. The trestles burrito is my personal favorite with battered fish and shrimp with good fixins. Pedro's is an ideal small beach town fish taco spot in my opinion”
