“Came for lunch with my gran about a month after my grandfather passed. It was my gran's first outing since the funeral and i was worried but our server was this adorable silver haired woman named Rebecca. She had my Gran laughing the whole time. We ordered combos and the suggested jalapeño watermelon margaritas, which were spicy and refreshing. We needed a nap afterwards because we were too stuffed! My gran won't stop asking when we can go back. Thank you South of Nicks for lovely meal, and Thank you Rebecca, for helping a family member feel normal after tragedy. You are in our prayers“

“I was looking for a quick bite before going to the San Clemente outlets and saw Surfin' Chicken Grill on Yelp. What a great recommendation for lunch. It is less than a 5 min drive from the outlets and close to the freeway. Nice size parking lot, dining space inside and outside the restaurant. It is a small shop inside a dying strip mall, but don't let that dissuade you from going. I got the half chicken and a small side of pinto beans. The total was about $14. The fresh roasted chicken, they drizzle a yummy garlic sauce on chicken before serving, came with 4 corn tortillas, a tiny cup of salsa (could have used more, but they charge for extra), some lettuce and guacamole. Chicken was flavorful though the breast meat was a little dry so the garlic drizzle and salsa helped a lot in the tacos I made. Will come again when I return to the area.“

“Excellent solution for a healthy meal or snack on the main street of San Clemente. In addition to the internal tables it also has an outdoor patio that allows you to enjoy the beautiful sunny days. Wide choice of vegetarian dishes, the ones we tried were all excellent. The smoothies are delicious. Very friendly staff, fast service. Aware of allergies and available to apply variations. Absolutely recommended!“

“Service was fantastic. Our waiter Luca was on it. Amazing waiter. Great food and very much authentic. We had the swordfish, Beriia , ceviche and shrimp. However, we were seated outside when I was thinking we were going to be inside and no one told us that. I saw the photos online and loved the ambiance So we did not get the feel of the ambience which I was very much looking forward to for our special occasion. So next time, I'll make sure to ask!“

“My wife and I come back to visit a few times a year and this is a must stop. Our favorite guy is always working hard behind the counter. We LOVE the spicy mango margaritas and the ceviche. The fact that they have a dressing bar with cilantro vinaigrette, pico de gallo, jalapeños, salsas, etc. CANT GO WRONG!!“

Definitely make you feel welcome and important when visiting their establishment! Food is reasonably quick to get when you're really hungry and deliciously fresh tasting. Great service at this location!“

“It appears this location may have closed down. Was there at 10pm last night and it was locked up, with the sign still saying it closes at midnight. Talked to someone happening by, he said it's been that way for three days now. Shame, was reliable late night Mexican food.“

“Shrimp taco in a bowl with a Coke zero hot sauce, one chicken quesadilla and one cheese quesadilla. Great for a low-carb lunch. Food was good. Service was fast. If you're ever down here to the beach, try it out and get some of the red sauce. It's nice and spicy not too hot.“

“Awesome food!! Been visiting (I’m from Chicago) since my daughters family moved to CA and discovered in 2008. I love the Mama Avila soup, very hearty and so delicious. There’s nothing that I’ve tried that I didn’t like. Give it a try, you won’t be disappointed!!“
