“So excellent food! The food didn't disappoint me and it was really fantastic. The overall quality was so good. Came here for dinner with my husband. Can't remember the name of the food we ordered but we actually have some pasta, salads, and meat too. Dessert was so superb and well-done. The appetizers were really delicious. They lots cocktails. The wines were taste so amazing. The service was so nice. The place has classy vibe inside. Great interior setting with a nice decor. Nice service.“

“We appreciated the concept of using the dim sum style roving carts. The service was very efficient, helpful and personable. The ambiance and vibe was very lively and fun, but the noise level was high so, for some elders, it made conversation difficult. The variety of dishes were creative and fun to try. Since this was our first time at the restaurant, our picks from the roving carts were sort of pot luck so some dishes we loved and others, not so much. I think it would take another visit or two to figure out what to say "yes" to and what to say "no thank you" to, for our tastes.“

“One of the best bars for cocktails in SF. The menu is extensive and they change it up regularly so you always get something new. There is always a creative new theme and the drinks showcase their excellent mixology. They also always have several non-alcoholic mixed drinks using quality alcohol alternatives! My only complaint is that I would love more (and more elevated) options for food, but it's good quality. Even the salad is quite good.“

“My friend, Mike, who lives nearby with his wife, raved about it so much that my BF and I decided to come after a short trip to Marin. It was everything that he described and more. It was fantastic! Excellent food and atmosphere. Will definitely add to my list of favorites and will recommend to my Palo Alto friends!“

“Was seated surprisingly super quickly on a sunny Saturday lunch on the sidewalk. Took about 15 minutes for a party of 4. The menu is small, but everything that we ordered was big portioned and fantastic. From the grilled cheese to the mushroom toast to the scone (with cream!) to the veggie grain bowl, everything was hearty, flavorful, and delicious.“

“I had a great time during my last visit to The Progress while my parents were in town visiting. We tried: dumplings, artichoke toast, seaweed noodles, lamb and the classic duck. The dumplings were our least favorite - it was a bit heavy and not as flavorful at the same time. I'm generally just okay on artichoke, but I surprisingly really enjoyed the artichoke toast. The lamb was tender and flavorful. I also loved the umami flavors in the seaweed noodles and thought the springy texture of the noodles were just right! Our duck was great as well, which is their signature dish - highly recommended! For drinks we tried the one punch man and spiritual state. We like both drinks! I am a sucker for trying milk washed cocktails and am also a sucker for pandan, so I loved my one punch man drink - the pandan was strong as well! We accidentally spilled the whole one punch man when we were first trying out the drink and our server was so kind to replace our drink. Lastly, because we were celebrating an occasion, we were each given a shot of complimentary peanut milk! It was a bit sweet though - not something I would order on my own. Anyway, a great experience overall!“

“As a vegetarian, I was disappointed by the food. The tangine was odd in flavour, while the vegetarian pasta was super bland, with lots of sweet peas and very little pasta and sauce. The artichokes and cauliflower were also surprisingly bland. I was looking forward to trying this institution and left nonplussed.“

“Grade A bar I've been to numerous bars around the bay and this one takes the cake. The drinks were delicious though a bit pricey. The menu changed depending on the season of ingredients which is a testament to its quality. The food was surprisingly good! The pate and mushrooms were to die for. That, or i had the drunchies. Great service! Kind people! And the embodiment of what an sf bar looks like Big Mitch“

“We had a reservation and waited a bit to be seated. I thought there were mostly solid hits and some lackluster items. Bread and crudo were amazing. Risotto a bit under. Dry pork and potatoes but great sides to the pork. Complex desserts were a great way to end the night.“

“I always forget to take pictures of the food here because we did in so quickly. I love the food here, the restaurant is lovely and comfortable, and the staff are very kind. I love their rotating menu and delicious cocktails. I look forward to the next special occasion that we choose to spend at The Morris.“

“While overall it was a great meal, we did think the desserts we had, panna cotta and the crostata, could have been better. Everything else was great, particularly the Chicken Arrosta, the tagliatelle, supli, and salumi. Look forward to our next visit.“

“I had one of the best restaurant meals ever in San Francisco last night at Sorrel. The pictured dish is described as maitake / potato / dashi, the first course of seven and my favourite. The wine pairing was very good, and the service outstanding. Great celiac accommodation for me. Instead of the pasta based crab dish I got a stunningly excellent sun-choke risotto. Highly recommended for a special occasion.Dietary restrictions: I had excellent accommodation for my celiac affliction. “I cannot say enough good things about this restaurant. I am a business owner a few doors down and I wandered in with a friend after work one night about a month ago. We were met with such incredible warmth from the staff and the environment itself, even without a reservation. We sat at the bar and were greeted by Josh, only to find out later that he is the owner. He made excellent recommendations on everything from our drinks to dessert. The bar didn’t feel isolated from the rest of the restaurant and guests, but rather was lively hub frequented by kitchen and serving staff and warmed by a smoldering wood fire. The coziest. We swooned for the poke appetizer, complete with house-made toasted, but not crisp, blue corn tortillas. The pork shoulder tacos—also to die for. I have to say though, that the star on the sidelines was the beans. I honestly didn’t know I could feel this way about beans…but I digress. Josh bounced around from table to table all night, never letting a single ball drop, making every guest feel like *his* guest. A pot de crème sealed the evening in perfect bliss. I’m back a month later with the same friend, eating different and somehow even more incredible entrees: ribeye, halibut and a rhubarb crisp for dessert. I scarcely ever take the time to write a review as I prefer to vote with my $ and my feet, but I simply couldn’t eat here again without taking the time to sing it’s praises. Eat here.“

“Excellent service and food. Nino the manager is attentive and considerate. He made our celebration extra special by sending our table the banana split dessert and birthday ice cream - compliments of the house. Antonio, our server, provided exceptional service throughout our dining experience. All Our accommodations were handled with great attitude and thoughtfulness. The showrooms are beautiful and the 4th floor rooftop view is gorgeous. Take the spiral staircase to visit the showrooms. Bathrooms are clean and private. Great time! Looking forward to dining here again.“

“This is the old Palette restaurant space on Folsom. Logistically not sure how they got a Michelin star so quickly. They are on par with Californios. Sat at chef counter and had the 13 course prefix (~$450 for 2 people). Space was warm (2 hearth and open wood fired ovens) w great ambiance. Service was exceptional. Meal was fantastic - all seafood based and no pork / beef. Dishes were creative and rich / flavorful. Drinks were all $20-25 for cocktails and were probably weakest part of their experience. I would maybe get a bottle of wine next time. Out the door paid $750 for 2 people (4 drinks total) which included tax and gratuity which they include on bill. Definitely an expensive meal and night out, good for specialoccasion. Overall would definitely recommend. Great addition to neighborhood for sure, would recommend.“

“Absolute perfection. My husband and I will remember this evening for the rest of our lives. The food was divine. Flavors, inspired. Service, attentive, delightful, and not intrusive. Each dish was presented with a brief but detailed description so that we could appreciate the food even more. You’ll want this to be your next dining experience. They take it all to the next level of sublime.“

“Went for Spring restaurant week. Got the steak and salmon option. Started off with their salad - yummy. Next is the pea soup - also yummy. Not as grainy as some pea soups can be. Steak made well with the aoili dipping sauce. Salmon also nicely made. Kids meal has a salt & pepper option. Dessert was a lemon pound cake which was a bit disappointing. Was dense and a bit too tart for me. Rustic setting. Definitely prefer the back near the fire place.Parking: There is a parking lot on 8th - if it is city operated, it is free after 6pm-otherwise metered. Street parking is free after 6PM and Sundays.Kid-friendliness: Has a kids menu option-more then chicken tenders and burgers which was nice. Salmon was an option with fries and seasonal veggies (currently peas).“

“Food: 5 This is THE BRUNCH to try in SF. Consistent perfection in every part of the dish - crispy potatoes, flavorful & soft eggs and meat, and fresh pastries/pancakes. If you ever get to sit at the bar, you can watch your meal being prepared in front of you. Service & Ambiance: 4 Understandably, wait times can be a little wild, and be prepared for the cold if you're seated outside (blankets provided). But even on crowded days, the staff are so kind! Wishing there was a queue system to receive a call-back rather than waiting in crowds outside the restaurant waiting to hear your name.“

“Lovely place. Delicious food and great, interesting cocktails in a warm, inviting environment. We had a very nice brunch and I can't wait to come back. Finally got to try Shakshuka (which I saw on the Real Housewives of NY, haha). It was very tasty! ?“

“The food tastes amazing and the delivery driver was punctual although having said that, wax paper would keep the cheese from ripping up patches of cardboard after it slightly cools in transit and the butter for the pancakes was off to the corner mostly absorbed into the container and started to revert back to a solid.it would have been more efficient to package it in a sauce cup.the whole bottom layer of eggs ended up being inedible and the 7.50 delivery charge made the drivers tip uneconomical on a $20 dollar order.“

“Vibe is great; wouldn't consider it anything super fancy, but a nice place for a normal date night. Food was SUPER good! Portions were bigger than expected and everything was bursting with flavor. Service is very accomodating to allergies. Will say, service could have been better, but I'm a tough judge to crack, so I won't put it past them. Highly recommend!“
