“I've been coming here since I was little and it's the most satisfying and nostalgic dessert that describes my youth. My family and I don't live in the area so the whole purpose of this drive was for these crepes themselves. I LOVE the espresso coffee ice cream, been getting it for all these years and it never fails me. I also love how fluffy the whip cream is and the crepe itself is always so soft and light. And of course the adorable designs on these crepes, always brightens my day. Service is quick, the area is very bright and family oriented. I will always come back to this place as it was my first and always my favorite crepes!!!“

“After many years of living nearby I thought it was finally time to stop by and try Higher Grounds. I stopped by on a Sunday afternoon and found parking immediately a couple of doors down from the restaurant. Every table was taken as I walked in. I ordered the Chicken Delight, to go. Each crepe comes with a side of potatoes and a salad. Two people had each placed their orders before me so I knew it was going to take some time, especially as there's only one person running the spot. After approximately 15 to 20 minutes my order was packed up and ready for me to pick up. I was able to sit down to eat it 10 minutes later and the food was hot and fresh. The crepe was filled with chicken and vegetables. The potatoes were well seasoned and the salad had a nice dressing. Overall, I was pleased with the qualify of the dish and the portion size. This is a nice local spot in Glen Park. Be prepared to have a relaxing breakfast, brunch or lunch. This is a one man operation, after all. There's seating inside and some tables outside. Cash only.“

“I wanted to grab pork buns at another highly rated bakery close by but the line was outrageous so I ended up stumbling into this place instead. It is a small shop lined with cases of different styles of baked breads. I grabbed many different types of individually packaged breads and in the front is a nice selection of cakes so I also got a slice of blueberry cake. Everything was delicious but my favorite was the cake. I regret not getting more types of cake slices. This place is great and no lines at all on a Saturday afternoon. I will definitely be back!“

“The food was a generally good, but uneven. It was very, very busy, but the staff knew how to handle everything. They were friendly and accomodated all of our needs (we asked for three cups of ice to fill up our water bottles). We split a chicken pesto crepe, a north beach crepe and a crepe suzette. He also had fresh squeezed OJ (he loved it). The pesto crepe was quite good (not too much pesto), but I expected more from the north beach one - the chicken was a bit dry and it lacked a distinct flavor profile. The crepe suzette was light, zesty and fresh. The decor was surprisingly drab and dated, though they did have a cool, large, hand-written menu on the side wall. They also had two kinds of infused water - cucumber or orange - which was a nice touch.“

It uses sour cream with evaporated and condensed milk which gives it a slight tang and is utterly addictive), and mangonadas. “I thought the food was stellar and the service really bad. Listen, don’t flip the screen expecting people that order at the counter to just add a 15-20 percent tip. Folks, we had to get up and ask for everything, and clear our own plates. Earn your money. Letting everyone know that no tip is necessary here until the wait staff actually do more than grab a plate from the counter and put it on the table.“
