Walked in around 4:30 at the Hayes Valley location. Tables dirty. Ordered large pizza and Ceasar salad. Got both. Salad in plastic container and pizza in to go box even though we said we’re eating in the restaurant. Asked for extra dressing and was charged extra even though no price on the overhead menu. Asked why they’re wasting a box and was told by an employee that they don’t have trays that large even though there’s 8 of them sitting in the case in front of her. This same employee was brushing oil on the pizzas coming out of oven, She was behind the counter cleaning her face with her T-shirt because of heat. Maybe get her a small fan before she passes out of heat exhaustion? She definitely didn’t want to be there. Everyone looked unhappy and not one person was smiling. I felt sad for them. There was another employee who definitely had an injured foot and can barely walk working and walking in and out in pain. Not sure why no one told her to leave or elevate her foot? Service 0 out of 10 Food 6 out of 10 ( way too oily) Cleanliness 4 out of 10 Will give it another try in a couple of weeks and hope things will change. Hate to see a mom and pop store go out of business!
