“Birria burrito was tasty. Meat was flavorful and melt in your mouth. Was surprised that they used plain rice rather than Spanish rice. Tortilla was so deliciously flaky, I wondered if it was lavash.Decore is your typical no frills tacqueria with brightly colored throw pillows, paintings of natives doing everyday things, but a nice touch is the counter set up to look like the Golden Gate Bridge.Very few options for agua frescas so we got Mexican Mocha, which was good.Neighborhood locals like to go here and everyone is really friendly.“

“The food is fantastic. Wonderful service.“
“I love these pupusas!!! The cabbage slaw "Curtido" is divine, and the salsa just the same. I look forward to this treat every time it's brought to our work!! You can tell The owner Miguel, puts his heart into these dishes. Best pupusa in town!!“
“Estrellita's catered a party for me last night and not only was the food delicious (pupuas/curtido, tamales and grilled vegetables) but portions were very generous and delivery and set-up were on-time and seamless. It was easy to place the advance order and Angel was very helpful and flexible.“

“Sarita's is the best Salvadorian food in San Francisco. We have lots and lots of salvi restaurants but this one is my new favorite. The flavors are the best. Pupusas are sooooo good, my favorite part is you can hear the clapping of them being made right after you order. Their soups are deliciously authentic. The breakfast scrambles are filling and flavorful. The frescos are alllll yummy. And the plátanos fritos with frijoles are my icing on the cake for spot on deliciousness. This place is a must try, especially for y'all who have been going to the same ol spots for decades, bring the familia, it will not disappoint.“

“Good spot for lunch by the hospital. I got the pupusa combo plate 1 (two pupusas, some plátanos, and a couple fried yucca). It was a good deal and you get to try a bit of everything. If you get the combo, you have the option to get two different pupusa fillings, so I got one queso con loroco, one revueltas. I also got horchata which was good and came in a big portion.“

“My parents would bring me here as a kid and I hadn't been in years now I'm bringing my mom years later, had low expectations but it was still delicious, the aguas frescas especially the pineapple were great they even made my wife a cheese less pupusa which we had been to many pupuserias and they would never make her one so we will definitely be back.“

“Got these via doordash and was pleasantly surprised! There's nothing like fresh pupusas but they did a good job of delivering them hot and with the cheese all melty. The plantains were delicious too and everything was sustainably packaged in compostable boxes and a ziploc for the cabbage. Also very reasonably priced! Gotta try them out in person when I'm passing by.“

“Like I was saying, if your into cheesy large oblong shaped flavorful pupusas? This place is Da Bomb!!! I ordered half a dozen pupusas with a variety of flavours and each one did not disappoint. These ufo shaped meals were moist, extra cheesy with just the right amount of ingredients inside to make it a happy hi carb meal! The place is a whole in a wall but very clean. There's more to the menu than pupusas and I'm hoping to order some other Salvadorean dishes next time.“

“My brother brought me to Nena's restaurant and had their pupusas. I've been back three times now and love their soups. Delicious with all the vegetables, beef or chicken.. The service was nice and the hot 'Atol de Elote' was sweet and 100% authentic. Loroco, chicharon n cheese pupusas are my favorite, the red sauce and pickled cabbage 'curtido' topping to complement the freshness to make it complete.“

“We had a very good experience. Curtido was good. The salsa is the only thing, I like traditional pupusa salsa. Pupusas were good. Fried plantains were excellent. Chelate was really good.Vegetarian options: Is a matter of asking, refried beans only pupusas are available.Kid-friendliness: Very friendly atmosphere.“

“The pupusas were perfect! Just as I remember eating them as a child in the Mission. Lovely memories were brought back eating pupusas with my daughter and grandsons.“
