“Five stars! I'm in love with the barbecue short rib sandwich. The meat was incredibly tender and flavorful, and the sauce was perfection. I'm officially obsessed! Plus, the service was fantastic. Highly recommend this sandwich shop to anyone looking for a delicious lunch.“

“It can be easy to walk by Heroic Italian and not realize it! There are no signs for the restaurant. Instead you will see a wine shop. Wine shop in the front, Heroic Italian kitchen in the back. When I entered, the man at the cashier explained that I could take a seat at any table outside, scan the QR code and order directly on my phone. The QR code links to the specific table you're at so they know who to bring the food to. I ordered the OMG spicy, no lettuce, add burrata. This sandwich was beyond delicious, literally the most perfect sandwich. I should have kept the lettuce on there since it prob would have balanced out the saltiness of the meats, but that's my fault! The roasted tomatoes were my favorite part!! They were so incredibly flavorful! My mouth is drooling just thinking about them! I can't wait to come back to SF to try their other sandwiches!“

“Remember the grade school taunt, "If you love something, why don't you marry it?" I totally want to marry this sandwich. In fact, I want to commit polygamy. These sandwiches are THAT amazing. The pork belly sandwich has these crispy nubs of deep fried pork skin, thoughtfully diced so that your teeth don't struggle, scattered on top of the filling of the most tender slices of pork belly imaginable. And the Le Dip? Don't get me started. The sirloin is perfectly cooked and shaved so thin that you get the mille feuille effect (Have you ever had mille feuille tonkatsu? Yeah, it's like that). The horseradish sauce is bracing, not overwhelming. And the sandwich fillings are nestled in this special Vietnamese baguette which is unlike a French baguette. It has a glassine crust that shatters the moment your teeth make contact and gives way to a pillowy interior. Eating this sandwich is the type of experience that makes you melancholy the closer you are to the end because you don't want the experience to come to an end.“

“Came here to try the tomato soup after seeing a Instagram video of a local for the Marina neighborhood that she was recommended by the manager to try the tomato basil soup. I was taken the order by Erin today, she was so nice; she has a great hospitality made me feel so comfortable as a first timer. The tomatoes soup were pretty delicious, I like the tartness from the tomatoes went well with a sense of pleasant taste from the basil. Definitely will come back for more of that and of course to get their salads! Thank you Erin“

“I was in the area when I spotted Bread n' Chu and I immediately started having cravings. It's a small shop and definitely for takeout. But, as with katsu sandos, you'll definitely want to eat it as soon as possible to get that full crispiness of the fried meat and the fluffiness of the bread. I went for the chicken katsu, thinking it would be light. This was definitely not light, as I got a very generous thick cut. Managing a full bite was a little bit of a challenge but it was still good and satisfying. The breading is great and the thick fluffy bread was on point. My only complaint is that the chicken was a little bit dry, but the sauce helps. I'd definitely like to try their other sandwiches, especially the golden truffle. Overall, I recommend checking out Bread n' Chu especially if you're looking for a sando to satisfy those cravings.“

Also the their cookies are tasty and massive! There is a nice selection of beer and wine for purchase too - all very reasonably priced. Can’t wait to return and support this local business!“

“Sandwiches that cost less than $15 in overpriced San Francisco felt like a winning lotto ticket. The sandwiches was quite a pleasant surprise. Sweet tangy spicy secret sauce with roast beef and extra goodies inside the crunchy Dutch crunch.Yummy! The wait time….. that’s another story.I wished them merry Christmas and a happy new year once I got my order.“

“I ordered the burrito with avocado and bacon and got a black coffee. The burrito was actually really well made, it was hot and crispy, it did not fall apart while eating it, and the ingredients were fresh, and the total price for everything was about $12. A great burrito with coffee and friendly service for $12? Definitely recommend.“
“Been going to Cafe 550 for a bit and as a lover of sandwiches I REALLY love this spot. The proprietor is super friendly and takes pride in his craftsmanship. I've only got the Californian since it was the first sandwich I got and loved it so much I just keep ordering it. Great value here too for a nice big and tasty sandwich! For reference other sandwich spots I like are DeliBoard, Rhea's, Turner's Kitchen and Submarine Center so if you enjoy any of those spots you'll love Cafe 550 too!“

“Guys that was amazing. 10/10 I highly recommend the pork belly Bahn Mi. I requested not to get the jalapeños. Next time I think I would ask to remove the cilantro since there was quite long pieces in there. The service was super quick and the staff were polite. Thank you for a wonderful experience.“

Will come here again with my kids to show them a SF staple.“

“Limoncello has such a special place in my heart. I live across the street and this was the first meal I had when I moved to SF. It is now heavy in my rotation and I always get the BLT (and typically an aperol spritz). I love the homey/cozy vibes and it seems like the owners are there pretty frequently and the employees are always so kind. Love taking my friends and family here when they come to visit and have so much fun browsing the market. I you Limoncello!“

“Now this is a bomb sandwich. They don't skimp on the ingredients and it's a monster. This is easily 2 meals for me. Go all-in for the pickled onions and crunch.Vegetarian options: There are at least 2 vegan sandwich options on their fixed menu, and you can also "build your own" and feature hummus and avocado with a mountain of other veggies.“

“Sandy's menu is small but worth a visit. As soon as I walked in the roasted mushroom muffuletta caught my eye. I ordered the 1/8 size and I struggled to finish it. It was ginormous and packed with savory flavor. I definitely recommend waiting the four minutes to have your sandwich toasted.“
