This is our fourth time back to State Bird Provisions and to say it never disappoints after so many years, is quite the understatement. They are back to offering their dim sum menu, which is wonderful -- but the standout dish of the night was actually from their a la carte menu -- the garlic chive pancakes with kimchi and honey butter...Oh My God, so good. One of top places in SF. Dim sum style of American food is epic good idea. The pancakes, asparagus fried rice are all stellar. Great crew, good energy - bring out of towners here if you want then to move here.

We appreciated the concept of using the dim sum style roving carts. The service was very efficient, helpful and personable. The ambiance and vibe was very lively and fun, but the noise level was high so, for some elders, it made conversation difficult. The variety of dishes were creative and fun to try.
