“We started with the crispy sticky rice salad with sour pork sausage and ginger. Spicy! Good tasting, but a tiny bit over salted. The chili lime grilled squid and pork jaw was absolutely fantastic. We also had the crispy chicken with spicy curry paste and pole beans. The lemon zest on top was delicious. Highly recommend this place in the iconic hotel kabuki in Japan town.“

“The food here was really good: the Grilled Beef Curry and the Umami Spicy Shrimp stood out for me, while the Pork Larb, Squid with Salted Egg Sauce, and Brussels Sprouts were above average as well. Fried chicken was just ok in terms of flavor, but was really crispy, which I liked. Staff provided good service, atmosphere was good for conversation, and the prices were reasonable. The only downside is that serving sizes were quite small, and my recommendation is to get a good amount of rice to pair with the dishes. 5 out of 5.“

“Shame on me for never doing a review on Lers Ros until now. I've frequented this place more than any Thai place in the city. It's the best Thai I've had in the city certainly. I've had like 8 different things here and it's always reliable. There's some real adventurous stuff on the menu that I can't go for. But your typical Thai offerings are all money. This place has multiple locations which always worries me when it comes to consistent quality. I can't tell you what to get because it's all been good. Is there better Thai food in the world? Yeah probably, but as far as San Francisco is concerned I'll put this up against anything. (4.8 Stars)“

“We were attending a Degas exhibit at the Legion of Honor Museum when we stumbled across this little gem. It was 5 pm on Friday, and the restaurant did not open for another half hour. We decided to wait, and enjoyed a leisurely stroll around the neighborhood for a bit. There is a nice park across the street where we were able to watch dogs running and children playing. The street parking was not as difficult as expected. Upon our return, we were seated promptly and the service was very warm and friendly. We told our server that we were vegetarian, and that was not a problem at all for them to accommodate us. Our decisions for dinner, as it was a tough one to decide, were: - Burmese - Pagan Vegetable Curry ($8.25) House special curry made with tomatoes, squash, eggplant, and lentils. - Thai - Vegetarian Tom Yum Soup ($9.95) & - Thai - Tofu Vegetable Combination ($10.95) Sauteed tofu and mixed vegetables with garlic sauce. - Jasmine rice for 2. The food was brought out in a very timely manner, and was delicious! The flavors blended perfectly, and the veggies were fresh and expertly prepared. The dishes were a nice mix of savory, spicy, and sweet, and the presentation was well done. We will definitely be returning when we visit again, and are grateful that there is still a reasonably priced restaurant to eat at in San Francisco. Thank you for a very nice experience!“

“The sampler appetizer is it! And I mean is REALLY it! That crispy rice is addicting and flavorful. We get carried away and order more but should probably stop with the app. Actually the eggplant tofu dish is really tasty also; we usually get it vegetarian. The service can be a little slow at times, and is understandable. The place is clean. Not much really else. I've been several times and will definitely be back again and again.“

“They just don’t make em like this anymore. This place has been around for 50~ years, and is incredibly well decorated. There are wooden carvings everywhere, and you have to take your shoes off upon entering. It’s so nice that you want to preserve it though, so it’s okay. The food and service were top notch. Always had plenty of water. Would certainly recommend to anyone!Vegetarian options: Plenty of noodle and other dishes that can be made vegetarian.“
