“If you're craving Cambodian cuisine, make sure to visit Angkor Chef, a fantastic Cambodian restaurant located in downtown San Jose. Owned by Channy Laux - Chef and her husband, they've been serving up delicious dishes for about 6 months now. Tina and I were thoroughly impressed by their excellent service and mouthwatering food. The restaurant boasts a sleek and modern design, and we particularly loved the beef skewers (សាច់គោចាកាក់). We definitely will come back for more. #supportlocalbusiness #khmerfood“

“I usually get the pad Thai medium spicy but decided to try the pad se ew medium spicy. Flavor is good, not too salty, but I wish it was a bit spicier so I'd opt for more spicy next time. They put a lot of chicken in the noodles! Quick service and they have a few tables to dine in.“

“We were visiting from New Jersey and stumbled upon this eatery. The restaurant was clean, and the waiter was sweet and attentive. The food was hot and tasty, and the portion was satisfying. I tried the Thai iced tea, and it was refreshing. I had the basil stirfry with chicken and a side of rice, while my wife had the red noodle; they were both great choices. I met the owner, and he was friendly, accommodating, and grateful. Great experience; now that's what I'm talking about.“

“I had the Green Curry Chicken with Rice. Absolutely delicious ❤️“
“We are obsessed with this place. Maybe we're just picky, but after living in a few different states we never found a Thai place in the bay we considered "amazing". This place is amazing! Not only is the food sooo tasty, the portions are generous and prices are good. Our go-to's are the pad kee mao, Panang curry, and prik king. We have also had their basil fried rice and it was delicious. Usually Pad Thai in the area has too much fish sauce for our liking, but based on the good reviews we might have to try that next. Will definitely be back!“

“It’s not easy to find vegetarian Thai food, esp if you don’t want any fish sauce in your soup. Lana Thai was such a great find!! Their Tom Yum soup is excellent! We also really enjoyed the vegetarian Thai basil fried rice, pad see ew noodles, and Tom kha soup. Their fresh summer rolls with peanut sauce are great too- light and refreshing!“

“Ordered 4 items ready in under 20 minutes and everything was delicious!! I recommend the crispy garlic shrimp, pad thai, crab fried rice and pumpkin curry! Price ranges from $15-$19 per dish. They have a small number of high tables with max total seating of about 16-18 people. I ordered to-go and the dishes were nicely packaged.“

“Excellent flavors in all the dishes we ordered. Tom kha with chicken, pumpkin curry with beef, pad see eew with shrimp and eggplant basil stir fry with shrimp. The sauces were out of this world. Shrimp succulent and perfectly cooked. Only shortcomings are that the beef was a tad tough and the noodles overdone that they were completely broken up… but it was so delicious that it didn’t stop us.“

“Chanced upon this hole in the wall kind of restaurant across from SJSU campus, craving for some good Thai food. We ordered Thai Iced Tea, Fried Chicken over Fried Rice, Vegetarian Egg Rolls and the Lamb Curry Speciality all for $59, including a $2 extra for using Amex credit card.Lots of piping hot food, well plated and served by a sweet hostess. If not for the inside run down decor, this restaurant is worth every penny. Like they say, don’t judge a book by it’s cover…food here tastes pretty awesome if you come in hungry!“

“Always fresh & bomb. Sometimes we order this for work meetings or I pick it up for dinner for my kids & I. This particular location is close to my house however there's no parking. You have to pull up or have someone drive you to pick it up so you can run in. I usually order by phone. Rice, beans, carnitas & tortillas.“

“I can't count the amount of times I drove to Grand Century/ Vietnam Town just to grab Thai Lover. They are located in the food court of Grand Century ( go through the main entrance, make a left to go to the food court, and they're the first one). I would say the have the BEST CRAB PAD THAI.(I have also tried their vegetarian pad thai and their shrimp pad thai. I love them both). The cashier was friendly and nice. She warned me about getting the Pad Thai spicy... their spicy level got me sweaty! Good thing I got a thai tea to wash down the heat (and it was only $4!!)“

“I had dinner here on a Friday night and there was no wait. Parking is not a problem since it's in a big shopping plaza. We promptly got seated and were given menus and water. The restaurant has a nice cozy ambiance. They have an extensive menu of Thai dishes but it is on the pricier side. I ordered yellow curry with soft tofu and a side of white rice. Rice is not included with the entree. You can specify a spicy level. I went with mild and it was perfect. Just a little kick of spice. I really enjoyed the curry! It was flavorful and the curry gravy was nice and thick. I dislike when it's too watery. They also didn't skimp on the veggies which was nice. You are asked to pay at the register. I actually enjoyed this because my friend and I were about to chill and enjoy our meal without feeling rushed and splitting the tab was made easier. Total was about $27 with tip. Definitely recommend checking this Thai restaurant out. It's a hidden gem for south SJ!“

“This is some of the best Thai food I have found in the Bay Area. Their curries in particular have quite a smooth flavor - I would recommend the Panang, the Red, or the Massaman. I find it hard to tear myself away from those, but when I do, I have had an enjoyable time with both the Pad Thai and the Pad See Ew. And if one is getting takeout and wants rice to eat later, the Siam Fried Rice is great. Tomato in fried rice is not something I have seen before, but it tastes great in this! Frankly, I'm surprised I rarely have to worry about getting a spot - this place is astonishingly under-utilized for being so amazing. Probably because a lot of folks do not know about them, but they keep my vegetarian partner well fed, and she is a bit of a picky eater besides, so I would like to keep them around and in business! Finally, they are doing an amazing job of staying open and efficient during the Covid-19 crisis, implementing better order/online and cheap delivery options. Thank you so much Thai Erawan for doing a great job, and I hope more people eat there so that you can always be around! (Oh, and the heart-shaped rice-moulds just happened to be very on point the first few times I brought my partner there - so extra points in my book for that!)“

“My numerous visits to Thai Soul Kitchen in San Jose have become a cherished ritual, thanks to the gastronomic delights that remind me why I fell in love with authentic Thai cuisine. Each experience is a journey to Bangkok's bustling streets, captured within this culinary haven's walls. The Pad Kee Mao, affectionately known as 'Drunken Noodles,' remains a highlight. The dish is a complex symphony of flavors, expertly executed to offer a spicy kick that is bold without overwhelming the palate. The broad, flat noodles dance amidst a medley of fresh Thai basil, vibrant bell peppers, and succulent chicken pieces, all wok-tossed in a rich, savory sauce that clings to every noodle. The heat from the chili is perfectly tempered by the aromatic herbs and the subtle sweetness in the sauce, making it addictive in its complexity. Then there's the Northern-Style Thai Sausage, a dish encapsulating Thai Soul Kitchen’s commitment to traditional recipes. Each sausage is a revelation, filled with minced pork that's seasoned with a curated blend of lemongrass, kaffir lime leaves, and a gentle heat from red curries. Grilled to perfection, the sausages boast a crispy exterior that gives way to a moist and flavorful interior. The accompanying fresh slices of cucumber and peanuts add texture and are a palate cleanser, enhancing the sausage's rich flavors with each bite. Thai Soul Kitchen is more than a restaurant; it's a testament to Thailand's rich culinary landscape, offering an escape to its soulful food streets with every dish served.“
