“I was in the mood for potatoes, corn, and shrimp for dinner, and this spot did not disappoint. The service was super fast and easy; my husband and I ordered the food to go, and within 10 minutes, the order was ready. The shrimp was seasoned to perfection, and the potatoes were amazing too. We ended up getting sausage as well. It was a good amount of food for a reasonable price. A pound of shrimp, an order of potatoes, corn, and sausage fed both of us with leftovers. Overall, it was delicious.“

“One of the most authentic Mexican food spots in Santa Ana period. The owner Art is one of the nicest and down to earth people you will ever meet, He take pride in this establishment and has a passion for making high quality rich tasting Mexican cuisine! Seriously a hidden gem! Colima never disappoints they have the best menudo on the weekends but go early because they run out!! Their refried beans are amazing and addicting and homemade tortillas de miaz are a bonus!! Also they have cinnamon coffee so good I have about 4 cups because I can't stop drinking it lol! And surprisingly my fav is the vegetarian omelet and I'm no vegetarian but this plate is freakin' amazing they put a homemade verde sauce over the omelette that just melts in your mouth! This place has been a staple in my family my grandfather and father were also patrons of this restaurant and I am a 3rd generation customer and my children are 4th generation. I always recommend this place to friends and family and they love it!!!“

All were exceptional.One thing to note: the restaurant name has been removed, so it no longer says, "El Mestizo" on the side of the building. Just "Restaurant", which is behind a tree. This place is hard to spot but worth the effort.p.s. They have menus in English available.“

Fresh water was really good, not too much sugar, and served fresh and done right, in my opinion. Seems like it is the owner who serves here. Servers are very nice and pleasant...very attentive. The place is uniquely clean and somewhat spacious. The tables and chairs are not too close to each other, based on the space they have to work with, it is well arranged. I like this place. I've been here a couple of times, and it has proven not to disappoint. They are consistent. I recommend you try it.“
