We stopped there to pick up sandwiches on our way to a hike in lake tahoe area. They were very warm and welcoming. We had veggie burger, grilled veggie sandwiche and one Reuben. Everything turned out to be good. Although fries were not great but it might be because we had it after a while and they were cold by that time.Full points to staff for the services. Also very ince decoration.

Almost always busy after 10am, but that is because the food is great! The staff is also kind and friendly and helpful when you call with questions or place an order over the phone. They recently updated their menu and you can also order online!Usually enough parking and very easy to find the location.Vegetarian options: Lots of things can be made vegetarian or without meat if they aren't already.Dietary restrictions: Easily accommodating to dietary restrictions and preferences.

Ernie's Coffee Shop, located in a typical mountain resort setting, boasts a charming design with beautiful courted ceilings and lovely wood beams. The ambiance alone is enough to make you feel cozy and relaxed. While waiting for our entire group to arrive, we decided to order some coffee. I must say, the coffee was excellent. However, we did face a slight challenge in getting creamer. Initially, we were given small cups, but after requesting a larger one, our waitress kindly accommodated us with a huge cup. It's the little things that count, and we appreciated her attentiveness. Now, let's talk about the food. Oh my, the food was simply amazing, especially for diner fare. I opted for the Biscuits and gravy with eggs over medium and hash browns. Let me break it down for you: my eggs were cooked to perfection, exactly as I had requested. Unfortunately, my friend's scrambled eggs were cold, which was a bit disappointing. Similarly, the gravy wasn't very hot either. However, the saving grace was the absolutely delicious biscuits. They were a true delight. The hash browns, although not piping hot, were still tasty. It seemed like the kitchen may have gotten overwhelmed, as our food took longer to arrive than expected. Nevertheless, the quality of the food made up for the delay. Plus, the portion sizes were incredibly generous, enough to satisfy even the heartiest of appetites. We were pleasantly surprised. Moreover, the staff at Ernie's Coffee Shop were incredibly friendly and accommodating. Their warm and welcoming attitude added to the overall positive experience. If you find yourself in Lake Tahoe and craving a nice breakfast or lunch, I highly recommend giving Ernie's a try. You won't be disappointed. The food is delicious, the portions are substantial, and the staff is super nice. It's the perfect spot for a casual and satisfying meal.

Great service! Food was good, and fast. I had the strawberry waffles. There was 6 of us and all our food came out at the same time which is good and rare for larger groups

This is one of the best breakfast spots I've been to in this area so far, I had the Huevos Ernesto and put it down so quickly, the coffee is top notch too and it's an endless cup for like 4 bucks and some change. ?

Ordered waffle with eggs and sausage. Sausages tasted like frozen breakfast sausage over cooked. Waffles we're good and eggs were fine but arrived not very hot. Coffee was not hot either. The syrup served at table is terrible, unless you get the maple syrup at extra cost. The regular syrup tastes watered down as it's not sweet. Overall I would not go back because food was mediocre and over priced.
