“A definite must when spending an evening in Tahoe! The service was excellent, drinks good and atmosphere perfect. I loved their outside area that's a perfect escape if you get overwhelmed by loud groups inside. Will definitely be one of our new go-to's when in town!“

“Best tacos and burritos I've had while here in lake Tahoe tried another Mexican spot like cantarito cocina y bar around the corner and it was not good at all went for lunch and the appetizers there were unconvincing to say the least so we left and did not have lunch there but here at this little taco spot meat was well seasoned and were really good the salsa had plenty of flavor should have came here from the start but unfortunately they were closed yesterday Thursday so went to the other one dont go to cantarito come here instead way way cheaper and way better food! Friendly atmosphere great service ?“

“So satisfied with our time here. We were approached and seated immediately. Complimentary chips and salsa were delicious and brought out quickly after being seated. Food was served pretty fast and was SO GOOD! Prices are fair for the portions and *especially* for the taste. Our server, Andy, was very pleasant. The horchata was delicious - no refill but it was in a huge glass so I'm not complaining.“

“Got a very large carnitas burrito and soft drink for about 12.99$ , which is inexpensive for being on Lake Tahoe Blvd. Food was good, authentic Mexican style. Plus, their restroom, although outside and quite cold, was immaculately clean. If u want simple and low priced Mexican food near South Lake Tahoe. I would recommend.“

“Home run! Just like the tacos I get back home in Texas. Off the beaten path and away from all the tourist traps full of boring chain restaurant food. Picnic tables to eat outside. Spicy, delicious green salsa. Tender asada, lengua and carnitas. Very, very good.“

“I moved to Tahoe in 2003 and this was my absolute favorite place to eat. We moved to gardnerville 8 years ago and I really miss eating there, I wish they would open a restaraunt here. The owner was super nice and remembered his customers and treated them like friends.“

“At 4PM, we couldn't find a better option than this. The cafe had limited seating, but it was sufficient for our group. We were pleasantly surprised by the generous portions of our orders, which were being prepared while we placed them. To start, we had nachos with various salsas to sample. The nachos and salsas were fresh, although we had expected the salsas to have a more salsa-like consistency rather than being like sauce or paste. Nonetheless, they were still enjoyable. The highlight of our meal was definitely the Chile Relleno. It had the perfect combination of flavors, pleasing everyone at the table so much that we ordered another plate. The seasonal veggie burrito bowl was also quite good. We were initially skeptical about the Chicken Chimichanga burrito since it was deep-fried, but it turned out to be surprisingly good, not greasy at all. However, it could have benefited from more sauce. We also tried a veggie taco and a fish taco. The veggie taco was loaded with toppings and had a delicious taste. Unfortunately, the fish taco was disappointing as it tasted mostly like deep-fried batter with no distinct fish flavor. Recommend skipping the fish taco. Aside from that, our experience at the restaurant was definitely five-star. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there and will certainly remember the Chile Relleno. We may even return specifically for that dish.“

“I can’t recommend this place enough. Absolutely delicious food, excellent prices, and outstanding service. This is our family spot for Mexican food, we got the carne asada tacos, and chili verde burrito. Both were cooked, and prepared perfectly. They have a salsa for every taste as well. Edit: we had carnitas tacos and a carne asada torta, everything was outstanding. You know a place is good when you’re planning your next meal before you finish your current one.“
“I highly recommend the spicy bloody Mary.I wish I took a photo of the pepper before consumption. My wife who enjoys spicy food far beyond my own weak palate says it was by far the spiciest she's had. According to a quick Google, it turned out to be a habanero. The burritos and tacos were delicous and the service was exceptional.“

“Note: The sign at the front says Jalisco Taqueria, but I was told it is the same. Had the pozole and two tacos(al pastor, carnitas). The tacos were great. They give you a side of onions, radishes, and lime. Most places I've been before also give you cilantro, but not here. The pozole was not spicy, but they gave me some hot sauce to add, smoky chipotle, I think. Once I added it, it was spicy enough for me. It had a LOT of meat. The bowl wasn't as big as in other places, but for the price, I think it was reasonable. I would recommend this place, as long as you are not expecting a fancy place. BTW, it's now open on Mondays, too.“
