“I took my son here for a bday breakfast celebration and the owner was so friendly he even had the kitchen make a pancake stake for a cake with candle and everything. It made him feel special and it was a nice experience. The food was fresh and served quickly. The inside is cool and the parking is minimal but not too bad.Kid-friendliness: Super fun decorating and the waitresses are very nice.“

“Family style bar and restaurant. I've had a thick juicy cheeseburger and the fish and chips. Both dishes were nice large portions of flavorful and fresh tasting and well seasoned food. The place is friendly and well appointed. Prices are reasonable and service is great. The patrons are having fun socializing with each other. There are even families, but no young children. They are a mix of young and old. People are dressed in casual work clothes.“

“I just had breakfast here with my friend. She had gluten sensitivity and I have celiacs. So we were looking for a GF place to have breakfast that we wouldn't get sick! The food was all great and homemade, and the staff were wonderful. Our waitress. Lola was so sweet, caring and attentive! We could not have asked for a better person to explain the GF food there as well! In fact all the gone are GF foods are from Dees Ohe Smart Cookie in Glastonbury, and is a completely GF business, so I felt very happy! And comfortable eating here! The food was fantastic. “Called here to try out the tuna grinder. An angry man answered and told me take out only! I was getting take out anyways so that worked. He yelled a number at me after I ordered and hung up. I walked in to pick up and the entire restaurant was closed up except for the take out counter so it must always be like that ? Not sure. Anyways, picked up my very generous looking half a tuna for under $10 and left. This was one of the best tuna grinders I've ever had. Bread was lightly toasted. Tuna was double the portion of the pizza place down the street and it tasted great. Will be back to try more items for sure.“

“Picked up some wings to go for my friends and I. I got the honey chipotle wings which did not disappoint, exactly what I was craving. My friends got boneless buffalo wings which they seemed to enjoy. We shared the tater tots with queso which was so good! Unfortunately , I didn't really look inside to get the vibe. I'll definitely be back though!“

“Himalaya hits the spot, especially on a rainy day (which we seem to be having a lot of lately). Not far from the Berlin train station, Himalaya is takeout only, and seems to have been for some time. The dining room is darkened and blocked off, with a sign directing you to the pickup table. There was a noticeable smell of mold upon entering...possibly due to the aforementioned rain? But the food was perfectly fine, if a little chilly in temperature. Nothing a quick zap in the microwave can't fix. I went with good ol' chicken tikka masala, but there are plenty of options for the more adventurous. You are required to choose a spice level, and as the heat increases, so does the price! I chose "mild" but would definitely kick it up a notch or two next time. All in all, I enjoyed my quick lunch and would put Himalaya on the short list next time I'm craving Indian takeout.“
