“Wow !!! A group of 4 of us were traveling through the area and needed a good place for Dinner …We called and made a reservation , the owner Al was very personable on the phone .We arrived for dinner and he had our name on table , and he introduced himself …We had a couple of beers while he explained the menu to us ….we Decided on a couple of appetizers and also a small pizza to sample before ordering our dinner . The appetizers arrived and were very good, but the star of the show was definitely the pizza , so much flavor … the crust was to die for light and airy and so much crunch in the crust !!!! Next was the Dinner - Chicken Francaise , Chicken Parm , Chicken Marsala , Fettuccini Carbonaro .All meals arrived hot and were Delicious …We also got to meets Al’s Daughter who was very personable just like her Father ….We wished we had this Restaurant in our community . Give this Restaurant a shot , you won’t regret it . Thank you“

“How is it possible? This place can serve me a wonderful chicken piccata dinner with salad and bread for $21 and a glass of house wine for six dollars? Excellent food service and atmosphere. Plus a live rendition of love is in the air. Wonderful service food and prices make this place a grand slam. Support this business.“

“While this sandwich shop is a bit more on the expensive side for subs and sandwiches, this is one of those places where you get what you pay for. The variety and sandwiches, the quality of the food, was great. I had the buffalo chicken sub, and you end up with an entire breaded chicken breast, with some really good flavoring. My lunch mates had the steak and cheese and really enjoyed theirs as well - to the extent they wouldn't give me a bite. Jerks.Would go again.“

“I love, love, LOVE this place. I’ve been buying pizza from them for years now, and only recently tried other menu items. I’ve never had a bad experience at this restaurant. If at any time my order is incorrect, which has only happened once in years, the employees are more than happy to fix it. Out of all the pizza places in Cromwell, this is the best.“

“Sal worked with us for my grandsons baptism party. The roast beef was tender and flavorful. Lemon chicken was amazing. Roasted vegetables with hot peppers, WOW! Roasted potatoes, fantastic! “First time dining here. What a find! Hot bread with roasted garlic-flavored olive oil arrived almost immediately...a treat for sure. The octopus was tender, delicately seasoned and just plain delicious! The dolmathes were tender, and pleasantly seasoned. The lamb kabob was perfectly tender and nicely done. But my favorite dish was the roasted lemon potato wedges. They were just that...lightly roasted, meltingly tender wedges of potatoes and were pleasantly lemony. We didn't opt for dessert. The service was pleasant and expedient. We will definitely return...order the potatoes!“

“Our appetizer and dinners were excellent. The Calamaris was fresh, tender and served hot. The portions were above average. My husband loved his Eggplant Parmesan. My chicken Francais was tender and the noodles were actually cooked. All our food was hot when served which was a priority with me. Our waiter was personable and attentive without hovering. We found the prices on par with other restaurants but with better quality of food. “On the road, between Massachusetts where we spent a few days in January 2024, and JFK airport, we visited Wethersfield, a small historic town in Connecticut. The place is charming, especially on Main Street, where you can find a range of attractive businesses.Our favorite remains Lenoci's Italian Kitchen, a real pizzeria set up in a small house.Big surprise when we entered, seeing part of the local Italian-American community seated there! The pizzas are very generous and made on site in dedicated ovens.For a little over $40 for 3 people, we really enjoyed ourselves. I chose Lenoci's Spinach Special with spinach, potatoes, sausages and mozzarella in a small size: it's the equivalent of a family pizza in Paris. I recommend it, but we had to take half the order with us in packages because we were full!Very pleasant and available service.It is very possible that we will come back next time, if the opportunity arises, and when the temperatures are milder ?...“

“Solid pizza, I love the thicker fluffy dough they do instead of flat. Perfect amount of sauce, toppings, and time cooked.Definitely recommended for anyone nearby to get. Just expect a little bit longer wait time for to go than most places on the weekends.“

“I was surprised when we got there, looks like a super typical town-y pizza place tucked in a somewhat dingy plaza. The inside is bright, clean, and not at all what I expected. The service was friendly and very fast. There was a steady stream of patrons but staff kept up well, all seemed to be having a good time. The meatballs in vodka sauce were delicious. Fettuccini Carbonara was flavorful and well balanced. I personally would have had more sauce, but I will just request that for next time. Ravioli are huge and generously stuffed. Highly recommended for a high quality Italian experience in an unassuming location.“

“I took my wife here for a second birthday dinner last summer. We had received a gift certificate from a friend. Best clams casino I ever had. The lasagna was awesome and the portion was more than Icould eat. My wife said her meal was excellent. Our waitress was very personable, accommodating and made the dining experience here very enjoyable. I walked in to pick up and the entire restaurant was closed up except for the take out counter so it must always be like that ? Not sure. Anyways, picked up my very generous looking half a tuna for under $10 and left. This was one of the best tuna grinders I've ever had. Bread was lightly toasted. Tuna was double the portion of the pizza place down the street and it tasted great. Will be back to try more items for sure.“

“Even though it was a rainy day I still came here for dinner and the food was really good and fresh. I had a Caesar salad with a pizza that was topped with fresh tomatoes and was more like a brushetta with an unbelievable flavor. They actually have a small bar side that is really convenient. “An amazing dining experience at Bricco’s. I had the pork chop and salad with potatoes. The pork by far was the best I ever had anywhere in the area. Folks next to me had chicken parm and scallops, who said those too were great choices. Be sure to add an IPA or a glass of wine to the list. Our server Carrie was great and overall atmosphere was nice too. Be sure to add this one to your must go list and Briccos will not disappoint.“

The meals were reasonably priced and, quite frankly, the food matched in quality Italian food I have had in considerably more expensive restaurants. My only complaint: the chianti wine served was warm and I had to use ice cubes to cool it. That being said, I advised the manager that "room temperature" was 55 degrees not 70 degrees, she agreed and stated that she would relay my complaint to her boss. I consider Brio's to be among the best Italian restaurants in the Hartford area.“

Another group sits at the table that was reserved and was told no problem it was fine which then made the table we were waiting for reserved. If I knew we could just sit there we would have. Then after we are finally sat we were ignored as the tables on both sides of us that were sat after us were given water and menus while we sat and waited. I have no idea if the food is good or not as we never got served.“

The bread is fresh and made in house daily with tasty garlic and oil dipping sauces. I had the lobster ravioli which was full of flavor. The sauce is made fresh in house with scallops included. All salad dressings are also made in house. I had the balsamic vinaigrette which was perfect.Overall, if you are local and have never been here... “Been going here for years love this place they have scaled back it seems since covid times when they lost most there help back then it was the husband and wife running it with there son now i think just the son. But the food is great just check out the weekly lunch Specials on there website changes each day and starts about 10:30am get it while you can once gone thats it and the daily soups are amazing loaded with meat and veggies piping hot changes daily as well they have delicious meatballs and Sausage grinders that are huge they roast there own peppers and real steak for the grinders and salad only thing i could wish was the grinders are packed like they use to be id pay extra. “Five stars for the chicken cutlet grinders alone. Don't think I've had a better cutlet in the region. They will customize your sandwich any way you like, and also have a really nice selection of both fresh and frozen prepared foods like broccoli rabe, eggplant parm, chicken parm, arancini, macaroni/potato salads, etc. Staff has always been incredibly friendly and quick.
