“A M A Z I N G!!! The food is absolutely delicious. My husband and I were down this was running errands. I decided to look on yelp and see what's good and what would peak my interest. I love a good empanada. Very small quaint place. No inside seating but on a nice day there was a couple tables outside. I ordered white rice and beans for my husband, who is super finicky. I ordered one shrimp and one chicken empanada, pernil on a roll and mango cheesecake. Delicious! My husband said it's the best rice and beans he's had in a long time. Empanadas full of flavor. I actually don't really love pernil because people cook it so dry. This pernil was so flavorful, moist and juicy. Delicious. The mango cheesecake was just the right sweetness. The sandwich I gave half to my husband so I'd have room for the cheesecake. The owner was so friendly and helpful. Food took about 7 minutes to prepare. If you're in the 5 highly recommend trying it out.“

“We stumbled upon this place and the owner was amazing and welcomimg. The bartenders were just as pleasant and friendly. We stayed and ended up enjoying our entire evening there and felt like family by the time we left. We couldn't leave before enjoying Chaz's delicious food... The fish platter is a must try! We have definitely added this on our list of places we will frequent when needing a nice drink and great atmosphere.“

“I truly regret that this was only my first time at Luke Brasserie. The family and I came for a special occasion on a Thursday. By unanimous consent, this is our new favorite restaurant in New Haven. Started with a complimentary prosecco while waiting for the table to be prepared... nice touch and a good start. The menu is geared towards sharing which worked really well for us, since we like to try different things and are always picking at each others plate. What really made this work though was the service. After each plate, a server would swoop in and quietly replace the plates and silverware. They were very knowledgeable about the plates and recommendations were spot on. But the food is the star in this restaurant. It's gourmet without being pretentious. We had: Hamachi and tuna seared with brown butter plates to start. Both were fantastic, Tuna was dramatic. Polenta with cheese and truffle and rigatoni plates for the second round. Polenta was rich and creamy and truffley. Rigatoni was spectacular, sauce was creamy but had something I couldn't put my finger on that just seemed to elevate it. Mabey it was just cooked perfectly... I dont know. Along the way we were given a complementary plate of white asparagus by the chef. This might have been the best plate. Served with some kind of emulsion and cheese on top. Main dish, the 4 of us were getting full at this point, was the snapper. Capers, olives, butter, those little broccoli rabe buds (I think). Cooked perfectly, super subtle taste, and delicious. At the end of the meal, complimentary desert of strawberry ice with a dollop of mascarpone. This was the best meal I've had in the US for years and is now our go-to spot in New Haven. This place is the real deal 4 people, $260 with tip and drinks. Not cheap but excellent value IMO considering the quality.“

Jonathan went above and beyond by opening up early for my surprise wedding shower, and it turned out to be an unforgettable brunch experience. Coming from St. Pete, Florida, I'm all about supporting local businesses, and Gray Goat Farmtique exceeded my expectations.The food was absolutely phenomenal, and I'm pretty sure everyone left with a cute item from their store—it's hard not to with such a lovely selection. Plus, they offer makers classes where you can learn to make bread, candles, and even attend tastings. How cool is that?A huge thank you to Gray Goat Farmtique for hosting such a wonderful shower. I'm already looking forward to my next visit!“

“The Bees Knees is a small restaurant that has excellent quality of food and great service. It was recommended to me by a family member who lives in that area and she said I would love it and I did! I can't remember the name of the salad I had but it was delicious and my nephew ordered the same thing. We both also added the crispy tofu to the salad and we both enjoyed it. I highly recommend this restaurant and I will definitely be going back to try other things from the menu.Vegetarian options: The salad we had was vegetarian and we ordered it with vegan goat cheese and crispy tofu and it was excellent.“

“I’ve only visited once so far, but I’m still so impressed with their creative choices! We were able to try some of their new spring specials last time and it was all delicious. My favorite was the mashed potato grilled cheese! They have some delicious sides too. The staff was so friendly, and it was very charming inside. I already can’t wait for the next time I have a weekday home from work so I can stop by for lunch!“

“I honestly can't think of a restaurant that is more of a "hidden gem" than Newbrook Kitchen. The cuisine is complex yet approachable, homey yet unique, and most of all DELICIOUS. Chef Danielle is a culinary superstar, and we've savored every morsel we've had at NK. “I use to live in the neighborhood a few years back and this is the only bar I liked. I moved away 6 years ago but still go back there to eat whenever I'm in town. The drinks and food are great. The chef is not always there so call before you go if you want bar food. The Cheese fries with bacon are my fave. Bang for your buck :) Friendly staff.“
