“(Note: This review is for the Albany Ave. location) This won't be a popular review. For decades my family would frequent Scott's Bakery. We loved everything that they offered (hardo bread, beef patty, coco bread, plantain tart and so on). When I said we liked EVERYTHING, I mean it. Everything was on point!! Yesterday was my first time (and last time) going into Scott's in about a decade plus. It is clear that management has changed (if not management, something has gone horribly wrong). The shell of the patty was beyond thick and there was little meat in it. The coco bread was beyond disgusting! It was a flavorless clump of undercooked dough. You know how coco bread is supposed to taste. It didn't taste like that at all. It seems as though they've cut corners on their peanut punch which had a gell-like texture. The BEST part of everything that I purchased was the Cola Champagne. As long as they continue to use the same distributor they can't mess that up. Maybe they had a bad day. I won't be spending money to find out.“

“I see this bakery's bread and rolls at other markets -. It is that good. I went there on Good Friday for a coffee and toasted roll. They had about ten huge Easter baskets on table for sale. Bakery was decorated festively for the holiday. I was tempted to but a bag of cookies imported from Portugal, will soon.“

Palmera Grande Large Palmera

“The bakery has immense crowds all a.m. and only one or two staff people working. I plan to wait whenever I visit this bakery. I purchased a CUBANO recently - it was terrible. Around SIX mistakes! What???? I have had Cubanos at other bakeries - those had all the components of a good Cubano. I won't order it HERE EVER AGAIN. Your coffee is very smooth.“
