“I've been coming to AJ's for over 20 years. literally every time I have friends from out of town visit me and want to have a drink and some good bar food we go to AJ's. every single one of my out-of-town friends always says this is the best bar food they've ever had in their life. I literally have friends who call me up to come to Meriden just to have food from AJ's. my kids are addicted to the food at AJ's as well . I can honestly say if I ever move out of Connecticut, AJ's is one of the very few restaurants that I would ever truly miss and want to stop by if I come back to Connecticut for a visit. Thanks for hanging in and being so committed to our city. with the type of food and friendliness that AJ's gives they could have been successful any place in Connecticut.“

“Nice little towny bar. Cash only but they do have an ATM in case you find yourself without cash. They have a couple pool tables in a separate room than the bar which is always nice and roomy. Service is perfect. Bartender is very observant and knows exactly when you need another drink. Drinks are made perfectly too“

“Typical local pub with a welcoming atmosphere. I really love Tasha who is a bartender. She is very experienced at making a wide range of drinks. Brothers kitchen in this place is also good and offer a nice selection of wings.My only issue here is that I enjoy drinking my Wine out of a wine glass. This has never been a problem until lastnight when the bartender advised that the new rule is that at night she can only use plastic cups. I have bartended at a few locations and found this to be odd and not customer friendly if I specifically request my Wine in a glass. Just maybe something to consider because I'm sure beer drinkers would also prefer a chilled beer mug over a plastic cup as well.Overall a good place to enjoy a good time with down to earth patrons.“

“Im here as we speak .. i love this place! Its friendly .. theres allways people dancing and hanging out its a cool environment .. great place to just relax to the best music. . Fridays are with jamian as tbe dj which plays super good music and saturdays are latin night which also plays the best music.. i love it here!“

“It was cool. I stayed sober so i could drive. There are no pool rules followed. Prison rule pool game. Then gets too full of people that somebody is gonna get in a fight. Then it happens. I guess it was cool nobody got shot. I would go back.“

“Great atmosphere and employees. The owners are friendly and the drinks strong. I love the diverse crowd and the free entry. The food is good and they have good music on weekends with Bobby their resident DJ. Pool tables are there and darts.“
