This is one of the best restaurants in Middletown and in my opinion, the best pizza in the immediate area. The restaurant is large with a lot of unique cool looking spaces. The main floor and upstairs are the best spots, the basement is lacking in ambiance. I love their unique cocktail offerings and their specialty pizzas which are generally thin crust, new haven style with slight char. My favorite pizza is the Bianco. The salads are are good option as well and are huge. I usually order one to share.

Sicily has changed, and not for the better. We came here on 4/19 after not being here for 6 months, and we won't be back. We sat at the upstairs bar, and were next to a group of guys that were harassing the bartender. This culminated in one of the guys squaring off with another guy at the bar. There was yelling and the use of the "N" word multiple times. Management was very slow to respond. They were finally able to remove both of the guys that were yelling at each other, but then brought one of them back in for a hero's welcome. I let the manager know that this was a much different experience than we were used. After a lot of discussion, he advised that the guy they let back in was a regular customer who is there every night. Apparently, regulars can harass the bartender, get in fights, and then come back in for more alcohol. It should be noted that three people that were seated next to us cashed out and left their full drinks. They said they were going to the Celtic Cavern so that they could enjoy their night out. Our fun night wasn't over. We ordered the Snapper that came without the side dish as listed on the menu. We get that mistakes are made, but when they finally brought out the side dish, it was still wrong. This wasn't going well and I told the manager that while we aren't a regular, we were hoping to at least get what was advertised on the menu. He commented that this just wasn't the place for us. He was right. We expected the Sicily that had great food and a great vibe, and we got the new Sicily that has drunken regular's who get in fights after using the "N" word at the top of their lungs. Also, don't be a primadonna and expect to get your food as described in the menu.

I am very shocked/sad to leave this review. I came to Sicily last year a couple times and it was pretty good. This year, unfortunately, it was not a great experience. I came with a party of 4 at 6:15 and we were seated with no wait time. We ordered the seasonal sangrias and they were not good at all. After that we ordered espresso martinis that were watered down and also not very good. We ordered the Cacio E Pepe arancini balls which tasted like fried garlic and pepper. After about an 1.5 hours of waiting for our food, it arrived! I ordered a $75 ribeye which was not with it. The carrot puree was very very salty and there was a compote butter on top of my steak that was basically frozen and it made me sick. I went to the bathroom immediately after feeling queasy and had to vomit. We also ordered a Gluten free pizza that was lukewarm, Gluten free carbonara that was just 99% butter and a Caesar salad with chicken. The salad was the best thing that was ordered besides it being $26. After all, we will no longer be going to Sicily due to the service taking too long (tables of 6 that sat down after us ate, drank, and left before us), the prices being outrageous, and it also just being so incredibly cold where we were seated downstairs. We were very disappointed in our 2 hour experience as we have been looking forward to this dinner all week!

You are going to have trouble picking a favorite dish here. Pizza options are plentiful, and a deep dive into other dishes will leave you wanting to come back again. A great place for friends or family to meet for events or drinks at the bar. There are plenty of seats and space for private parties.

Quite possibly the best wing in Connecticut! Calabrian-Buffalo. The upstairs bar staff is always on point. Incredible appetizers and tap list. A little pricey, but worth it!!

I grabbed a cheese pizza and it wasn't bad. I'm a real pizza snob. A lot of people love this place for pizza, it was good, not the best. The other food looks amazing though. I'll try other things next time.

The bolognese tastes like an overpowering fall candle. Not your traditional is an understatement. Perhaps do an original classic to match your ambiance and it would gel but that surely does not. 5 stars down if I could. Cater to your guest who are paying premium prices and would expect quality meals. Do not recommend.

Allergen folks use caution here. We had a large group dinner to celebrate a birthday for a gluten free guest. Many of us had dined here before and knew there are many GF options on the menu. We had high hopes for Sicily. Sadly, it was a real disappointment. A few fork fulls into her meal, the gluten free plate of penne had several pieces of regular spaghetti in it. When we asked the waitress about this rouge pasta she wordlessly whisked the plate away from our table. The manager eventually came over and offered no explanation but said a new meal would be right out. We all felt uneasy eating our meals while the guest of honor waited and waited with nothing to eat and anxiety about the kitchen's ability to prepare non contaminated pasta. As all of us were done eating and had boxed up leftovers, finally her meal arrived. It was not handled well at all. While mistakes happen in a kitchen, management usually smooths it over with a complimentary drink or appetizer while a new meal is made, or the mixed up meal is removed from the bill. Sicily did not offer anything at all. In a thoughtless move, we were even charged an additional $8 up charge for the GF pasta. This mistake aside, none of us were impressed by our meals and felt the overall service and food quality has fallen off from previous experiences here. Oily sauces on the pasta and overwhelmed staff. Middletown has so many excellent options, to charge these prices a place needs to be solid on food quality and service. While there are gorgeous details to the atmosphere, an impressive bar area, and fancy cocktails, it does not make up for the overpriced $30 or more pasta dinners and unapologetic kitchen mistakes that mess with people's health.

As a pizza snob im always very picky when it comes to my pizza. Hard to find a good pizza outside of New Haven. We got a cheese pizza and a specialty pizza. Both were amazing, had a nice little crunch and cooked perfect. Will 100% be back and worth the 20 minute drive. The penne alavadka was out of this world. Portion sizes were much larger than expected.Prices were not cheap, food was amazing.

EDIT: After I wrote this review, I got a message from the owner offering his apologies and explained that they are getting used to a new staff as well as offered a gift card for the next time we go. I very much appreciate him reaching out and offering to make it right for us. Their food *did* look amazing so we'll most likely be back to try again. Not a great experience.Got there about 5:50 and the hostess told us an hour wait, which we were fine with and totally expected because my sister has been there and warned me they don't take reservations for groups under six people and there's usually an hour wait. We decided to wait upstairs in the lounge area and have drinks, which was a nice atmosphere and had great drinks! We had fun hanging out by the bar. The bartender, Rachel, up there took great care of us and was super friendly. We realized about an hour and twenty minutes had gone by and we still didn't get a text that our table was ready so my husband goes and checks and the hostess tells us it'll be "soon." Then, another 20 minutes goes by, nothing. Now my friend goes down to check again. She was gone for like 5-7 minutes so we were concerned. She finally comes back up and said the hostess went to go check with the kitchen when she asked and the kitchen said they were so backed up that they "weren't allowing them to seat anybody else". So we had waited almost 2 hours to be seated and now were not going to be able to eat and weren't really left with any offers to solve the problem. We collectively decided to leave and see if we could find another restaurant while we waited and got in at Osa up the street right away.
