“Nice neighborhood bakery, good enough that I'd come back to visit if I ever move away. The place is small, but it's clean and has a wide variety of food, especially earlier in the day. Customer service, at least in my experience, is easier if you speak Spanish, but they speak English just fine, too.I recommend the vanilla flan - I've not had a better one anywhere in the world. The rice pudding is good; I'm spoiled by my mother's British-style pud, but my husband and I both agree Marisol's is second only to my mom's. There are lots of other sweets that look wonderful, but now that I'm stuck on the flan, that's all I want when I go.“

“Delicious bread and pastries. Pricey, but worth it. Favorite item we bought was a cranberry-blueberry loaf, rich in fruit and not sugary. There wasn't much signage and we don't speak Polish, so I'm not sure what it's called. Like a rich, fruity coffee cake. We'll go back next time we're in New Britain.“

“Came in looking for a cake they had some ready to purchase and take it was a very pretty cake I assumed it was a vanilla cake because it was filled with Bavarian cream but it ended up being and almond cake instead the cake was still fantastic and luckily no one eating the cake had any nut allergies. Will be back again to try your other baked goods and sandwiches“

“5/5 on taste and looks this was really good!!! Things that I think can improve would be adding drinks like a milk choice. I think having food products you need drinks. And also the forks are really cheap and when the cakes are cold the fork given bends. I think this can be changed and doesn't change that the taste is amazing“

“Rocco's is a wonderful and friendly local bakery located In South Meriden CT. The prices are reasonable. Cash only (ATM machine inside). They carry pies, cookies, pastries, cakes, breads, etc. The service is great- Dorothy is super friendly. This is a grab and go place. There is no area to sit down with your treats and eat. The chocolate lemon pie is a favorite. They sell individual pieces of almond, tiramisu, etc. Everything we've purchased has been delicious. This is the only specialty bakery in the area. Highly recommend!“

“Our vendor for our wedding uses Modern Pastry for their wedding cakes. the tasting was so easy and great. we went with chocolate cake chocolate mousse. Our cake was phenomenal!! not only was it gorgeous and EXACTLY as we wanted..it was so delicious. the process was super easy and painless which is what every bride needs...everyone was extremely friendly. thank you so much!!!! highly recommended!!!“
