I went here for the first time because I couldn't find a place with good Spanish food (Dominican) ordered the moro with Salmon and I was impressed on how delicious it was. I also got a bacalaito and a tres leche and it was amazing. Definitely going back.

I was in town working. I had some time to kill and stumbled upon this place. Their choices of food were great. I had a hard time choosing. I ended up getting the salmon, with black beans/rice. The salmon was perfectly seasoned and cooked. The service is fast and efficient. I will be back next trip into town for work. I highly recommend giving this place a try.

Visiting home and stopped by Caliente Deli on a whim! I'm from New Haven and didn't know this spot existed. My next visit will be intentional! Food was awesome and flavorful!! Pork chunks, stewed chicken, rice &beans, plaintains.... wonderful! Customer service made food even better! A must visit spot when I come back home.

Tostones were super hard and chewy, I will throw them out.White rice was okay, beans tasted like Gravy, not the usual bean taste I know (I am spanish) and the beef I ordered was extremely hard.Filled me up but not fresh good taste.
I ordered chicken with white rice and beans on the side with some chopped up garlic on the side the food was terrible chicken looked old and pink in middle way too much rice and beans were mushy the chopped garlic. Wasn't chopped just six pieces of garlic in a plastic cup I will never order from this place again totally disgusting I wouldn't feed it to a dog

I'm not going to say much. There are 3 Spanish restaurants around where I reside. The further one is 5 minutes walking. In Fair Haven and I drive 15 minutes to Caliente. The food in Caliente is super good. The atmosphere, food, and the staff they are super.
