“This is one of the best omikase places in New Haven. The management is thoughtful and truly cares about its customers. I can't rave enough about what a gem Rockfish is. Every person who works here is kind and caring. They really will take their time to answer any questions. The fish is fresh, flavorful, and delicious. The packaging is clean and informative, great for Omikase newbies like myself and seasoned Omikase friends!“

“A true high-end omakase in a humble space under the parking lots of downtown New Haven. Who would've thunk it?! $105 for 3 small places, 10 pieces sushi, a handroll, miso soup, castella (not tamago), and black sesame ice cream. The preparation was creative, though sometimes a little contrived. Scallops, excellent with smoked sea salt. Fish (forget which) with a spicy tomato salsa, interesting! Tempura maitaki, cool! Probably didn't need truffle salt... Closing with o-toro, awesome! It didn't really need Osetra caviar or gold leaf... Fish quality is commesurate with price. Once inside, it feels like an oasis. Reservations are recommended.“

“Great sushi, and the dinner plates are creative and delicious. My favorite Kosher sushi in CT, and better than most places in NYC and Long Island… Easily the best by price.“

“This is an excellent new place in New Haven and one I highly recommend. I’m not kidding, it might be some of the best, most authentic Chinese food in the city. Do the build your own bowl, try the pork broth, throw in a meat and some veggies and you’ve got an awesome meal for a reasonable price. If you’re craving good, authentic, real Chinese food give this place a try - you will not be disappointed!“

“Don't let the ratings scare you. This ended up being one of my favorite restaurants around town. -Bibimbap: 5/5 This is one of my go-to meals, which comes with a fried egg, beef bulgogi, healthy servings of cucumber and carrot, and a rice base. Comes with salad! -Sushi on Chapel Udon: 5/5 Also super good--the broth is so flavorful, the noodles are QQ, and the toppings match the flavor really well. -Tonkatsu: 5/5 Though this is in the appetizer section, it is a decently-sized portion! Probably enough for those with small appetites (aka not me). This is always fried to perfection, and the pork is mostly lean meat. God bless. -Kani Salad: 3.5/5 Was a lot bigger than we thought, but there seemed to be more tempura flakes than imitation crab. Just keep in mind that most of the House Special items come with salad, so you might not want a big salad if a small salad already comes with your main course. -Tonkatsu Ramen: 3.5/5 This tasted like instant Shin Ramen noodles,,, and it doesn't say on the menu, but the soup is also kind of spicy, so if you don't have a decent spice tolerance, this may not be for you. The broth wasn't that rich either. The Tonkatsu still slapped though and somehow still managed to stay crispy despite being dunked in broth. Waiters are always very friendly and attentive. You might need to flag them down if the restaurant is very busy. Spacious dining area with plenty of tables. I'll admit that the sushi may not be the best here, but if that's not your main thing, you should definitely try some of the other items and be prepared to wowed.“
