“It's a been a few years since I last visited, but I still think about this place from time to time. Whenever I'd visit my friend in New Haven, we'd always come here to feast on tacos and other offerings like tortas. The tacos are great value: $8 for 4 tacos for most of the selections. Best of all, they have my favorite variety of taco: tacos de lengua. Granted that the tacos de lengua come at a bit of a premium compared to the other varieties, but I'm more than willing to pay the extra $2. The taco fillings were generous and the chips + pico de gallo + salsa verde that came with each order was fresh. I wish they also gave radishes with the taco orders, but that's a minor thing. Next time I'm in New Haven, I'd be sure to come back here to have those tacos again.“

“I got the street tacos, they were da bomb. I don't think their menu pics do justice to how good their food is, need better pics. Delicious food and you start to feel like you're in a different place after a few minutes, like Texas. Staff is fully bilingual and i saw someone wearing pointy toe cowboy boots. They give you apparently endless warm chips and salsa. I'll go there again.“

“I ordered the fried shrimp burrito and asked if they could coat the tortilla with the birria broth and cook it on the grill. Only planned on eating half of it and saving the other half for lunch. First bite in, I already knew that plan wasn't happening. Second bite in, I thought I was an idiot for even considering that plan. Safe to say, the burrito was devoured and I'll most likely be getting it again sometime this week lol.“

“I was my first time there. When you enter your greated at the door by a friendly staff, promptly your seated and given some home made nachos with salsa and bean dip, they arrive warm and really crispy, the atmosphere is quite pleasant the staff is always on point asking weather you need anything and how is your service experience. I got into a small conversation with one of the waiters and mentioned i was there for my birthday only to be surprised by a big sombrero and a staff singing to me. I was in shock but very happy they served me a complimentary dessert as well as complimentary ceviche made of tilapia fish. I must warn you if you go here please go hungry because the portions are ridiculously huge. I didnt give 5 stars because i plan on visiting again then i will edit my review accordingly“

“Amazing Al pastor tacos and carnitas burritos. Carnitas was juicy, rice was well seasoned and pillowy. Al pastor great depth of flavors and juicy. The red hot sauce was bomb Highly recommend this whole in the wall. Beats out a lot of taco trucks at the wharf. Will try the birria tacos next time“

“We made a reservation for Mother's Day for 4pm. The day of I received a voicemail that they actually close at 4pm. Apparently whoever is in charge of removing that option for online booking has not yet updated the times. Despite this, the staff were incredibly accommodating and kind, keeping the kitchen open and not rushing us through our meal. The food was great, the margs were tasty, and even the v young kiddos had a great time there and wanted to stay longer. Whoever is in charge of changing the reservation options, PLEASE make the change happen so that their wonderful staff can go home on time!!!!“

“I miss places like this – echoing someone else on here who said they were spoiled by living in California, and miss the food. Finally found one that feels right! I've seen others charge $20 for half as much guac as here, and it will be a quarter as delicious. I was at first suspicious of the tricolor chips but they were perfect. Crunchy, warm, perfect salt. Perfect fajitas, veggie burrito very good. I appreciate that a hint of East coast is here due to the fact that we could get fries and plantains – which had the best, softest cream (it tasted much better than normal cream, sour or otherwise).My only complaint is that I wish I could get additional tiny containers of salsa instead of having to order an additional chips and salsa, but I bet that's just a take-out issue.Shout out to the server who was so very careful placing the items in the bag, making triple sure nothing tipped over and warning me about the beans. Protect that man!I have no photos, we ate everything too fast. I do have a food coma, though“

“This was such a hidden gem!! Their food is always really good and fast. The ONLY negative thing I will say is that.... they had to raise their prices, so it's no longer affordable per se.2 burritos and 2 empanadas for $42 seems a little much, in my opinion. But this is unfortunately how things are now everywhere. Other than that it's a great little place. FIY- it's a grab and go situation not a sit down place.“

“Great bakery! I was overwhelmed with the choices. I had no idea what most of the items were but when I asked for some help, the person working (baker/owner?) took me through each and every item in the house! Much appreciated. We took a baking pan and some tongs and selected several items including some Mexican sweet bread. A guava/cheese pastry, chocolate croissant (nothing like a French croissant), and an apple turnover. Everything was delicious!“

“Wow!!!! My boyfriend and I tried this new little spot on a whim and boy was it GOOD!!!! Honestly the best Mexican I’ve had in the states and I’ve lived in LA, California. It was so fresh and well made. Absolutely delicious. The tostadas were fire! So was the corn but those Churros!!! Honey. Let me tell you. THE BEST THING IVE EVER HAD! Get the caramel. I’m sure they’re all good but we got the caramel. It was like a warm custard inside of the churro. I thought it was gonna just be a sauce you dipped it in. They were excellent!!!!! I have a burrito I’m saving for later but I have no doubt it’s gonna be magic. Don’t sleep on this spot. It’s 100% worth it and the prices were beyond fare. Oh we also got tacos. I didn’t eat those but my man. Did. He loved them!!! Definitely go! And go now before they get so popular you can’t get in! Also, it needs to be mentioned that the customer service was outstanding.
