“Takeout review:I was celebrating my birthday and I was craving sushi. My husband and I had takeout from here and the sushi was fresh and delicious. We ordered online and pickup was easy. We ordered nine rolls; yes, we love sushi and we can eat! The prices were comparable to other sushi restaurants. I can't remember all the rolls names but here were a few I do remember:Philadelphia RollSpicy tuna rollSpicy salmon rollEel avocado rollShrimp tempura rollAgain, all tasted fresh and I liked all nine that I've tried. I will definitely order from them again!“

“My go-to sushi is a shrimp tempura roll with soy paper. The one I had at lunch at Mangetsu was as delicious as any I've ever had. I really enjoyed the Japanese Yuzu soda out of the refrigerator case as well. The service was polite and prompt. The ambiance is fine--clean, but not fancy.“

“A MUST. I'm from out of state and every single time I visit I ask to go here. Consistently delicious. My go-to is general tso chicken. Never a 'weird' piece of meat, very crispy and generous portion. We've tried basically every appetizer on the menu, all 10/10. Our favorites are crab Rangoon, and the spring rolls. The cocktails are very tasty, the lemon drop especially. Some drinks are served in fun glasses like a tiki! Service is great, very friendly and attentive. Never have to wait too long but I also like that the food doesn't come out asap too. Would absolutely recommend this restaurant and will continue coming back!“

“Stopped in for a quick bite, and the owners were very friendly! The two owners really do look like mom and pop and made delicious quality poké and sushi. We got an Alaskan roll and double salmon in our poke and the fish quality melts in your mouth, everything was fresh and tasty. Definitely come in to support this local poke shop!“

“Yay! Another good sushi place in West Hartford! We got the three roll meal with salmon avocado maki, eel avocado maki, and shrimp tempura maki. And my partner also got chicken and vegetable tempura. The salmon avocado maki was melt in your mouth amazing. I would say it's the best salmon avocado I've had in the area now. Eel avocado maki was fine, flavorful, decent amount of eel sauce. Shrimp tempura was probably my least favorite. It just didn't have much flavor. Would have loved if it also had a spicy mayo on top or something. My partner said the tempura chicken was good, he was pleasantly surprised it was not overcooked. And the vegetables were fine, no complaints. It was also a really good sized portion. Overall I was very impressed, and you get a lot of bang for your buck!“

“Another amazing dinner! You know it's good when you can't stop thinking about it in order again within a week. Tonight I ordered the Singapore noodles (again) because they were so delicious, and I also got the vegetable soup which was excellent and I really really enjoyed the chicken lettuce wraps- check out the pictures, definitely give them a try!“

The reason I get food from here is the lobster protein option because I'm pescatarian but don't like raw fish, or the soft tofu, so the lobster salad is perfect. The haupia is amazing.Vegetarian options: Soft tofu is a protein option.Dietary restrictions: You can't go wrong with a customizable lettuce or rice-based meal. I personally am not huge into sushi but my boyfriend is very much a fan of this place's sushi. I really liked the Rock and Roll rolls. Ate about half of it, my poor boyfriend. He also got the Tiger Roll. He enjoyed it. He liked dipping all the rolls into the provided sauce. I got the tempura udon which was really good. The tempura onion rings and broccoli made me think of "onion rings lite". Wasn't greasy at all.Now on to my no-no for the place. The seating arraignment is a little weird. And the green tea (as a green tea snob) was not very good. Maybe it's just that green tea, I don't know.“

The service was excellent, very attentive and accommodating. The atmosphere was a little underwhelming, as it seemed to keep busy with mostly takeout orders as opposed to dine in. The dining area was clean with the perfect amount of lighting. Can't wait to go back! But, entrance area can use a remodel as it looks a little unkempt. I do wish parking was better here as it's on a main road with a very small lot.“
