The Chef was an absolute gem :) She spent time talking with everyone, explaining the concept of the business... giving us a chance to look around and see how the stations were set up, and describing how we would be creating our dish.The food itself was high quality and you can tell they really put a lot of of thought into how to best share their love of food and cooking, but also into how the attendees can have the most quality interaction with each other, and the food being made.We all highly recommend giving them your business, you will enjoy your time there. “Rocco's is a wonderful and friendly local bakery located In South Meriden CT. The prices are reasonable. Cash only (ATM machine inside). They carry pies, cookies, pastries, cakes, breads, etc. The service is great- Dorothy is super friendly. This is a grab and go place. There is no area to sit down with your treats and eat. The chocolate lemon pie is a favorite. They sell individual pieces of almond, tiramisu, etc. Everything we've purchased has been delicious. This is the only specialty bakery in the area. Highly recommend!“

They are still good but I'm thinking that may be why they are sometimes a little off!“

“Best Bakery in town with lots of Brazilian hot food, good coffee, beverages, beautiful cakes. They also have the best traditional "Pão francês" which is a bread that the Brazilians have every morning in their breakfast. I highly recommend this bakery if you wanna try different stuff from another culture.“

“I really love this little bakery. I was in a bind and needed a cake within two days and every other place that I contacted said they could not do what I needed. For reference it was a white cake, with a picture of Ronald McDonald on it with a raked texture and matching frame. So in my opinion it was a cake that was not complex, but for some reason the large grocery stores refused me. When I went in to Nonnie’s , everyone was so warm and kind. They were personable and became really invested in my silly McDonald's Birthday Cake Debacle. The cake was loved by all that ate it. Very light, but fulfilling. I would recommend anyone who needs baking done, to take a visit to Nonnie’s. They treat you like family , their prices are VERY fair and I will definitely return again.? also there Italian cookies next level good! I plan to grab some more in a couple days.?“

“Elizabeth's Bakery now has some GF items. Today I tried their GF blueberry muffin & brownie. The muffin is amazing! It didn't taste GF at all. Lots of blueberries, not overly sweet like some GF baked goods; great texture -not gummy at all; and a wonderfully big muffin like it's gluten containing counterpart. The brownie is soooo fudge! It is not gummy at all. Tastes just like a gluten containing brownie (well at least what I remember them tasting like). These are so much better than any GF brownie mix & better than any recipe I have made at home. It's been years since I have been able to purchase a great tasting GF item at a bakery. Kobe was incredibly and charming and I would recommend trying them every week ! Gill presented the cookies to me and they were handled amazingly ! “This place is great! It had the "mom and pop" vibes that makes you know a bakery is going to be good. Service was good. Greeted immediately when I came in and she had good recommendations for what to buy to get myself to the credit card minimum. I was in and out in under three minutes. The food here is INCREDIBLE. I had a crumb cake and it was perfect in every way. My sister had a cannoli and said it was the best she's ever had. I felt that the brownies were too thin and dry, but the flavor profile was good.“

“I have been going on the weekend getting a slice of buttercream cake. Always happy with that. I was in there Sunday morning and decided to ask about the whipped cream slices. I asked Diane, of of the bakers why whipped cream can taste so different from different places. She was very busy, but she took the time to explain it to me. I asked if I could taste the whip cream, she let me. It was so good I picked up a slice with whipped cream. Problem is now I probably will be buying 2 slices when I go, instead of one. They are so nice here. I usually have Elyana waiting on me. Always smiling and so nice. Anyone else never had has been the same.“

“Bakery On Maple is a fantastic gem located near Federal Hill. Their baked goods are without a doubt some of the best we've had. Their cinnamon rolls might be the best example of "max" cinnamon taste without being overpowered, their croissants are so light & flakey, the gingerbread bar while thick, was very soft to bite into & had such rich flavor - we loved the chocolate cupcake (fantastic chocolate cream!) and their macarons are simply delicious - probably my wife's favorite but so close. Cannot wait to go back and try more of their baked goods soon!“

“I have family in waterbury that we try and visit monthly and this is the first place we stop at each time and believe it or not it is just for the loaves of bread and my brother in law drives all the way from NH to grab just bread for certain occasions.... “Filipek's is the only kielbasa my mother would buy for her special Easter dinner. She grew up with it and passed the tradition down, and she would take my kids there to help her when she got older. Now I'm bringing them for our Easter kielbasa and hoping to pass the tradition on to them. These small shops are very special and we need to continue to support them. The same recipe for 118 years! “Really nice cozy small restaurant that will surprise you with how much space it actually has, looks much smaller from the outside.The food is way above average, definitely getting a good meal. My only recommendation is that I wished like most sandwich shops, you would get a pickle or bag of chips on the side with your meal. This would make me say the price for what you get is definitely worth it, for now it's more of an okayyyy pricing.Staff are extremely friendly and welcoming!“

“Rogers has supported us for over 10 years at our AIDS walk every year. We appreciate them SO much and also love their cider donuts, pies and fresh cider.
