“We just had a brunch for 70+ people after a funeral here last weekend. The owner was wonderful. I did not have to worry about a thing. The food was terrific, the staff wonderful, the venue perfect...they could even have accomodated more folks if needed. I didn't have to worry about thing. I highly recommend Cotton Hollow Kitchen. “First visit to The Charles today.Had lunch today with a close friend who has been many times..It was my "birthday" lunch..The service was great..we both ordered the The Reuben which was absolutely amazing and the Truffle Fries were outstanding..And at the end of our meal..our server brought out a little birthday dessert with a candle which was the perfect size and very decadent.Loved the charming atmosphere as well..we had eaten upstairs..Will definitely be returning!“

“I took my son here for a bday breakfast celebration and the owner was so friendly he even had the kitchen make a pancake stake for a cake with candle and everything. It made him feel special and it was a nice experience. The food was fresh and served quickly. Temperature of restaurant was almost unbearable. We were all so hot. They need better air conditioning. We would have stayed longer and had more drinks but it was just too hot.“

A group of 4 of us were traveling through the area and needed a good place for Dinner …We called and made a reservation , the owner Al was very personable on the phone .We arrived for dinner and he had our name on table , and he introduced himself …We had a couple of beers while he explained the menu to us ….we Decided on a couple of appetizers and also a small pizza to sample before ordering our dinner . The appetizers arrived and were very good, but the star of the show was definitely the pizza , so much flavor … the crust was to die for light and airy and so much crunch in the crust !!!! Next was the Dinner - Chicken Francaise , Chicken Parm , Chicken Marsala , Fettuccini Carbonaro .All meals arrived hot and were Delicious …We also got to meets Al’s Daughter who was very personable just like her Father ….We wished we had this Restaurant in our community . Give this Restaurant a shot , you won’t regret it . Thank you“

“If you find yourself in East Hartford CT you definitely have to stop at Augie & Ray's, the staff are always friendly I recommend their breakfast sandwiches always add a hash brown onto the sandwich you can request that, it turns a amazing sandwich into an even more amazing sandwich, I also recommend their pepper and onion cheese burger and their chili cheese dog with the toasted bun fire ?? writing this review has me wanting more I definitely will be back that's a promiseKid-friendliness: Yes definitely kid friendly“

I'm from California and we do our burgers a certain way but when George Motz featured this place in his book I knew I had to try this unique New England icon. It did not disappoint. “An absolute gem on the main drag in Manchester (not the mall area!) We came in at 5:30 on a Friday and we’re greeted right away. The drinks we tried were both fantastic. We ordered the Brussels sprouts app (my wife loves them, me not so much) and ended up cleaning that plate. We both did salads for dinner. Steak for the wife and I grabbed the cheeseburger salad and some wedge fries. Everything was cooked perfectly and delicious. Dinner for two with an app and two drinks was priced well. The server was polite and timed her table visits just right. Don’t sleep on this one.“

I would recommend the truffle fries, the mac and cheese, the garlic bread, which is a new food item on the menu. The garlic bread has blue cheese and pesto. It was so good! I loved it so much! “Cannot say enough good things about The Hollow. Whether you are a golfer or not the restaurant should be added to your regular rotation. The food is top notch, everything on the menu is fantastic. My favorites are the loaded potato chips and the Brit burger. The staff is friendly, the drinks are perfect and everything is reasonably priced (especially here in 2022). Did i mention the view from the patio is beautiful? This restaurant is a must taste!“

“This establishment has been here since the early 50s, though I doubt it still has its original owner. This is a diner it the most classical sense. It is notnkne of those places pretending to be something it isn't.A lot of so called diners nowadays are nothing more than resturants with a counter. This is a true holdover from when the best way from Boston to New York City was by taking US-5 which conveniently still runs right in front of the place.The food was as one would expect. There was nothing that stood out stunningly. The burger was large, and the onion rings were able to satiate my weekly grease intake.I will still be going back here at least one more time, but I'll be trying something else instead. One thing I was disappointed in was that there didn't seem to be any pies. I was looking forward to trying a diner pie, but alas, it was not ment to be.Vegetarian options: There are a bunchnof things that are vegetarian, but most of the menu is mostly meat.Dietary restrictions: This is probably not the place to go if you have any restrictions to your diet.Parking: There are a few spaces in front, but a rather a good-sized lot right around back.Kid-friendliness: Sure, why not. This place has both high and booster chairs. I don't remember seeing a kids' menu, but it's never too soon to introduce them to diner life.Wheelchair accessibility: It's surprisingly accessible. There are a few spots out back, and a very nice ramp of which to roll up. There is a table, buy only the one. If you ca t sit there, you'd need to sit at the end of a booth.“
