“Very nice, busy location. Great cookies in interesting flavors. Cookies are soft, not crispy fyi. The location is clean and secure. Limited parking in front of the store and due to location near a congested exit from the shopping plaza, I'd recommend parking in the main parking lot and walking the short distance.“

Such an amazing hidden gem in Middletown, I usually buy pints to keep me happy through winter when they close. Being from new haven i know we are kinda snooty with our opinion on pizza, im telling you this place would not only stand it in new haven, it would be a favorite spot for alot of people. After trying so many spots out here and failing this spot was a breath of fresh air. I will only order from them from now on.“

“There’s really nothing negative I could ever say about Rita’s. Specifically this location has some of the best service I experienced, especially for a chain eatery. Love coming here, too bad it wasn’t open year around! Yet, again, if it was I think I’d be 1000lbs because I come so often!!! These kids deserve a raise for how outstanding they treat their customers!!!“

“First and foremost the smell just takes you away when step foot inside ! This already has you tasting it in the air ! The staff was incredible and didn’t miss a sprinkle . Kobe was incredibly and charming and I would recommend trying them every week ! Gill presented the cookies to me and they were handled amazingly ! And it smelled so clean and sanitary I asked her name it and was laila and said you will get recognition as well because everyone counts !!! This organization is a sweet place ! Since there’s always a new flavor ! Thanks for the sweet attention and cookies .“

“Love, love love the homemade ice cream at Mortensens! This was honestly the best ice cream I’ve ever had in my life! It was such a treat to be greeted by the owner Rod as he shared the history of his family business with me! This ice cream parlor is amazing. I highly recommend you try it if you’re in the area! I wish we had a Mortensen in Virginia! I can’t wait to visit again soon to try all the flavors they offer! “The best ice cream! It’s better than cold stone creamery. Not only is there a great menu but you can have it made exactly the way you want when you build your own concoction. They also offer lactose free in EVERY flavor…it doesn’t get better than that. Plus, you get to watch them make it, from scratch!“
“We hired Blue Chip Creamery for an employee appreciation event and we were not disappointed. The ice-cream was delicious and the driver (unfortunately forgot her name, very sweet blonde woman) did a great job keeping up with the orders. The pricing was very fair and the flavors were very unique, people loved the different options! The staff were also super accommodating to our last minute attendee changes. Would 10/10 recommend this truck for any event.“

“The Mrs. wanted ice cream and so we decided to give this place a try. We figured/hoped it would not be too crowded and at the same time, we wanted it to be good.Well, the ice cream was delicious. The place was more steady than busy thanks to the staff. They were quick and attentive & at the same time, still friendly.Now, back to the ice cream...I was going to get Salty Caramel, but "discovered" something called "Peanut Butter Chip Swirl" - Vanilla Ice Cream with Chocolate Chunks and a peanut butter ripple. I got it on a sugar cone and this thing was all I hoped for. The portion was generous and the flavor fantastic!We will definitely be coming back here again in the future...“

“Bloom Hill Farm - Ice Cream is a fairly large farm that serves some of the best tasting ice cream. There is a pretty wide selection of flavors available.My experience at this place was wonderful. I went there with a few friends on a hot day. I had a raspberry sorbet, and it was delicious.I recommend this place.“

“Our employer treated their employees to Blue Chip Creamery. We had their cookie ice cream sandwiches. Not only did they have a great selection but the cookies were fresh not hard and the ice cream was AMAZING!! All 100+ employees recommend them VERY HIGHLY!! “Walk up ice cream stand. Order at the window and hope the kid remembers what you ordered. Overall- good place to go for ice cream and I do recommend. I think they need a better register system because the kids can never seem to remember what anyone ordered (granted we were in a group) but most places have ticket systems to help combat this. The kid would take 4 orders bring two then asked the other two people what they ordered. As someone else mentioned they never seem to have bananas- they have long menu that you can’t really see until you get up to order- if they had an online menu people might be quicker to order.In summary is the ice cream good and the price right? Yes. Is it efficient - absolutely not.“

“One of my favorite places to go in the summer is Rita's Italian Ice and Frozen Custard. This place sells soft serve custard, Italian ice, and specialty creations. Be sure to sample a few flavors because some of their flavors may shock you. I have never seen such a large variety of Ice flavors. They serve everything: cotton candy, strawberry colada and unicorn just to name a few of the more surprising flavors! They also have fast service and allow you to try different flavors. My favorite item to order is the gelati: layers of Italian ice and custard. My favorite to mix are mango Italian ice and vanilla custard. However, you're also able to order a cup of just Italian ice or a cup of just custard. You may want to ask for extra containers so that it's easy to take your dessert home or to a cute location to enjoy!“

“It's Ben & Jerries. They are awesome. Though staff seem a little short staffed for the cleaning and last minute service needs. Seems like often one person is there to do it all. But may have been a call out that day. Always clean, variety offered.“
“We went the other day and the blizzards were delicious. Two complaints we have are the prices of the ice cream and they stopped selling chocolate sprinkles! The service is pretty good but the parking is not ideal. Tight spaces and the walking traffic could be potentially dangerous. We love the various varieties of blizzards such as mint oreo, brownie and snickers. With that said, if you're around the Berlin Turnpike and you want some decent ice cream, this is the place to go.“
“One of my new favorite places. The staff is very helpful and pleasant. Went once with my cousin who ranted and raved above their corn on the cob. She was right - it is so sweet (I ate it off the cob w/out boiling); that's how good it is. Green tomatoes were also great! They have a nice general store too. Will be back!“

Recently on their website and can’t believe everything that they have to offer: weddings, parties, graduations desserts in bulk …you can always get some of their favorites at Highland Park market in Manchester…I recommend a chipwich …Im sure most people would but also their spumoni slices, so good!“

“They had a lot of great different varieties of ice cream they have a cooler with beverages in it which is really important after eating ice cream sometimes need a water. They have a really great lawn with picnic tables. I recommend bringing some of your own chairs or a blanket and sitting out on the lawn there's plenty of space! The girls inside scooping the ice cream were super nice and helpful and didn't rush at all even though there was a huge line behind me I really appreciated that they didn't rush me because there were so many things to choose from :-)“
