“Ordered take out: a Kalbi Bento box and Seafood pajeon pancake, and both were delicious at home! The bento box came with japchae glass noodles and dumplings- a perfect pairing for someone who loves Korean food. The seafood pancake was crispy on the outside, soft on the inside and had a perfect soy scallion sauce on the side. Would highly recommend for take out!“

“Yay! Another good sushi place in West Hartford! We got the three roll meal with salmon avocado maki, eel avocado maki, and shrimp tempura maki. And my partner also got chicken and vegetable tempura. The salmon avocado maki was melt in your mouth amazing. I would say it's the best salmon avocado I've had in the area now. Eel avocado maki was fine, flavorful, decent amount of eel sauce. Shrimp tempura was probably my least favorite. It just didn't have much flavor. Would have loved if it also had a spicy mayo on top or something. My partner said the tempura chicken was good, he was pleasantly surprised it was not overcooked. And the vegetables were fine, no complaints. It was also a really good sized portion. Overall I was very impressed, and you get a lot of bang for your buck!“

“We stopped here for some quick sushi due to its proximity to the Truck Bar. It was a good find! A little hole in the wall place in a large plaza. “After trying out most of the local sushi spots, Higashi is the one I keep returning to. Their Super Cute roll is my absolute favorite, but I'm also a huge fan of their Boston roll. The Boston is nothing like the other local places though, which almost always have mayonnaise, where as this one has no mayo but adds tamagoyaki??? Which is weird but oh so wonderful. If you've never tried tanagoyaki, it can be a little surprising and strange at first because it's sort of a sweetened egg omelette but it's honestly SO good if you're feeling somewhat adventurous. The pork gyoza and kani salad are also excellent!“
