Everything about our experience at Albi was exceptional: the food, both in flavor and presentation, as well as the level of service. We ordered a la cart and we would recommend every item - not one was a skip: arayes, sfeeha, fattoush, embers beets, goat awarma hummus, and the lamb kebab. We finished with a selection of teas and the brown butter knafeh, which is not a very traditional version, but is a must try version of the treat. If you are in WDC, don’t skip Albi habibi.
Albi is doing some wonderful things. The little lamb pizzas and humus with pan fried oyster mushrooms are wonderful and reason alone to return. The baklava, despite having too much salt in the recipe (an issue with most of what we ate) was the best I've ever eaten. (I think they must bake the filo before layering in the nuts and sugars, imparting an incredible nutty richness and texture to the result.)
