“Nice place if you want cupcakes that aren't overly sweet. I have heard a lot of good things about this place. I'm not quite sure if it's overhyped or just right. It's a nice place if you're in the area but I'm not sure I'd go out of my way to come back for more. The cupcakes are good but not that special.“

“Chocolate pistachio croissant - 5 stars. so good and will be returning for this. Any place that has pistachio pastries is a place for me. Morning bun - very flavorful (cardamom & lemon) but a bit too dry for me. 3 stars Espresso & tonic - I did not like this at all, and will definitely get a safer drink option next time. There was a line at 130pm which I was surprised about, but it moved very quickly and we had no trouble finding a seat. Cute place, will be returning!“

Wheat-Rye Sourdough Boule

“Exceptionally delicious and fresh sourdoughs and croissants. If you want the best selection you've got to show up when they open. We had a late start getting there but managed to snag their last tapenade sourdough, a chocolate croissant and a sugary croissant bun (I can't remember the name right now). They have a selection of jams and butters and I grabbed a few of those to enjoy with our breads. This place is tiny and tucked away in an alley hence its name. Parking around union market is also crazy the later you go in the morning. The space for the bakery is enough for about 5-6 people so be patient and wait outside. Their baked goods are worth the wait. I'll wake up earlier and head over there because what we had was excellent. One of the best chocolate croissants I've had. Worth the trek to the city in my opinion. One more pointer...they do not accept tap payments. Cash and credit cards so be sure you're carrying either.“

“Really nice bakery/mill.Unfortunately no plugs or wifi to work but a really nice spot for fresh, healthy breads and a nice setting. When I first walked in they were brewing fresh chai and I could smell the spices. Unfortunately the concentrate wasn't as spicy as it smelled but was still good. They even have a picture where they source their grain and dairy, and sugar and other products from.Overall great experience and will be back.“

“We are so glad to see this cafe do well in our neighborhood. I believe in cafes in every neighborhood. We walk our dog every morning and grab hot chocolate and coffee when we walk by this place. They have recently redid their interiors. Looks much spacious now and very welcoming. With my drinks, I often get their samosa or spinach puffs. It's so good. For lunch, my go to is their Ethiopian combo. They have 5 different veggies and recently added meat as well. Absolutely delicious! Depending on how busy they are, expect to wait for the Ethiopian entree. Worth it.“
