“Beyond the beauty and elegance of the luxurious Riggs, the access to Washington, DC’s prestigious museums and monuments were in perfect proximity to our request. We specified a centrally located hotel, close to the National Gallery and in walking distance to the fabulous restaurants, while having access to the Metro. The staff at the hotel were helpful and friendly. Every morning my sisters and I sat in the cafe and enjoyed homemade croissants, pressed juice and potent coffees. We dined once in the cafe where the food was fresh and scrumptious. We enjoyed a leisure lunch without feeling rushed. Upon our return to the hotel, after a long day of art and monument walking, we again would slip into the vibrant cafe, plop into the luscious velour chairs and enjoy a late night drink while reminiscing over the day's travels. The rooftop at sunrise is spectacular. We could look out from our rooms onto the skyline; however, jumping into the express elevator rooftop bound provided us an open air experience, within a tree-lite promenade of cafe tables and chairs. As well, the rooftop bar and cafe is a perfect stop to enjoy the night skyline; however, we were always out and about in the town so we’ll have to visit the rooftop evening vibe next time we book with Foro Travel, Chanel Flores, Washington D.C. trip.Nearby activities: National Portraits Gallery and exhibit Composing Color by Alma Thomas is not to be missed. The $70 million renovation of the Women's Art Museum is spectacular.Safety: We walked early at sunrise and never felt unsafe. We walked late after 10pm and again were never under the impression our safety was a concern.Walkability: Five minutes to the Metro. Five minutes to the National Gallery and Women's Museum. 10 minutes to the White House. Simply terrific.Food & drinks: The cafe and lounge are five star.Noteworthy details: The seasonal decor is spectacular, tasteful and creative.“

“For an exceptional meal and incredible service you must stop here! A true French gem in DC! All of our food was mouth watering and we were too stuffed to order dessert. The staff made our night so special at every turn and we had a ball! Thank you!“

“Lovely spot in the Dupont Circle Hotel. I don't usually choose hotel restaurants but this was a perfect spot for a quiet lunch with a friend. Our server, Miguel, was fantastic - very helpful, thoughtful, and just the right amount of time spent at our table. The GM (don't have his name) was also very nice - funny and attentive from start to finish. The food was very good, I had a salad with salmon on it, and my friend had the crispy salmon lunch. Highly recommend if you need a classy, quiet spot in downtown DC.“

“I really appreciate that Liberté retains its lively atmosphere and French favorites as years pass. When I come here I know my dining companions and I will each have a great meal and go home happy. I'm a simple guy: I value being able to consistently rely upon the menu offering duck confit, cassoulet, bourguignon, moules-frites, et al. Liberté does these things well and consistently and, because the brasserie has many tables, it's where one may turn if on a whim friends decide to go out that evening. I tend to order a paper plane here to start, which has always been done well; I've never had a bad glass of wine, either. During Lent there were fun nonalcoholic options we enjoyed. The crowd can be a bit young due to the proximity to Georgetown -- all the better; it's good to be proximate to people excited about their evening. This does mean that it's not as formal a dining experience as another French restaurant in Georgetown, but Liberté knows what it's trying to do and does it well. I've not yet sat on the patio but as summer begins I hope to spend an evening there. I'll return again soon in order to do so. If you haven't yet visited, you should; I hope to see you here.“

“The atmosphere and opaline is absolutely wonderful. It is calm, peaceful. And quiet coming here was like stepping back into time. Being able to sit down with high tea with my partner and enjoy absolutely delectable, pastries, and desserts, and a cup of absolutely delectable tea while talking, and stepping away from the hustle and bustle of life, was absolutely to die for , the staff was wonderful and observing my allergy, and provided me an alternative menu to ensure that I stayed safe and did not have a reaction during my time. There is an absolute must do if you're visiting DC.“

“I have a saying I’m sure I’m not the only one and the saying half the eating experience is the people. They Lyon Hall made me feel like I was with a friendly family. Steven the manager stopped by to check on me, Brooke was super friendly and accommodating, Migjon the chef brought me a special steak to enhance my burger experience. Talk about accommodating Veronica the hostess was really looking out for me. When I thought the item I came for was not available she was going to the chef to ask if they could make it for me(I saw the item was available and saved her the trip). The burger I had could use a little more seasoning beyond that it was perfect!“

“The salmon tartare was the perfect light-brunch item! So is the yogurt parfait. Perfectly filling on their own as appetizers.“
