“Came here with my wife last month on a quiet Thursday and it was very busy despite no Nationals or United game. There is a great variety of indoor and outdoor seating, very little which was still available but we got two seats at the outside bar stools facing the ins. The beer is all amazing and we got several half pints. We got a Watermelon Salad and the Expos Poutine Tots the latter which is a great tribute to the former name and location of the Nationals. The food was delicious and the portions were quite large considering the affordable prices we paid. The beer took a while to come out and we kept getting the bartenders attention and we understood they were busy. There was a glitch where they could only find the food and not drinks for our order but the manager made it up and gave us another free half pint. We look forward to returning to trying more of their food and great beer!“

Atlas Brew Works Navy Yard Brewery & Tap Room Brewery • $
1201 Half St SE suite 120, Washington

“Ok - so here’s the deal - I really don’t want TOO many people to find out about this place as it has become like a second home to me and I don’t want it to become overcrowded to the point I can’t get in ….I’be been here multiple times just in the past week, and am always greeted by the staff (have I been here too much ????) and served PROMPTLY! I’m here usually every Friday after work, and other times, and when we (my [adult] son and I) come to watch the Washington Spirit soccer (away) games, they ALWAYS put it on some TVs where we can easily see the game.Growing up, I was a Milwaukee’s Best Light drinker, then graduated to Busch Light (Latte!) and my more REFINED palate of Michelob Ultra, but I have found a new favorite (CRAFT BEER!!!) - Blood Orange Gose (it’s a sour???). I met Jim, the Manager, tonight and am confident we will become better acquainted in the coming months, and I know we’ll become fast friends. On the food - I don’t know if it’s the best pizza ever, but for me, 2 slices of pepperoni is the right amount and I LOVE the style, size, texture, and taste. I’ve had the Old Bay chicken wings and fries as well, which are both good, but I come for the pizza and beer. The outdoor patio seating and ability to open up the doors from the outside to the inside is awesome when the weather is good. It’s family-friendly and we’ve seen dogs in the outdoor area many times (who’s a good boy?), and simply put, love everything about our experience here and look forward to many visits for years to come.Do yourself a favor when you’re down in Navy Yard (in between the Metro and Nationals Stadium) and stop in for a slice and a beer - you won’t regret it!“

Other Half Brewing Washington DC Brewery • $$
1401 Okie St NE, Washington

“I was in DC for a couple of days and after a day of sightseeing, was ready to chill and grab some beers. I'm a huge craft beer fan and saw that Other Half's DC location was pretty close to where I was staying. I've had quite a few of their beers and also been to their brewery in Brooklyn, which was boss. This location was equally good. I ended up getting four beers, two NEIPA's, which were both really good and fresh and also two barrel aged beers, one was great, the other not so much. Service was on point and the guy behind the bar was very friendly and accommodating. It is a large space with outdoor seating and there was a quiz going on while I was there. You can also buy beer to take away too.“

“Awesome craft brewery. I went during the Record/Vinyl event and it was an awesome time. They had a variety of different styles that has me wanting to come back versus just all IPAs. Shoutout to the brewers because they make awesome beer. I’d recommend this to spot to anyone and they always have food trucks around which is great!“

“May 2023 - 3 years later, we still almost weekly. Still dog friendly and our new dog can't go there enough. The beer is still good. The folks are still good. They have given the exterior a face lift. They have food on the weekends. Check it out if you haven't!Nov 2020 - Just moved to the area, but this is one of our favorite places...go there 1-2 to times a week! Check it out if you haven't - and a bonus it is dog friendly. If you are willing to wait for it, pick up Roaming Rooster you can make a afternoon/evening of it. You can even play Centipede as you drink for 25 cents!!!“

Crooked Run Fermentation Brewery •

“Beers are very nice...we tried two with dinner and bought two four packs for later. The pizza was okay...the pepperoni was a little burnt in my opinion. I'd definitely buy the beer again but probably not the pizza. The atmosphere was cool...very hip and chill.“
