“The portions are small here, it is supposed to be snacks rather than a whole meal. The food is usually good. They have good coffee and pastries, and a lot of seating areas. Even when crowded you wait at most 15 minutes for a table and you can sit on sofas to wait for a table. They get very busy sometimes, but they are organized and will give you a number and bring food to you when it is ready.“

“The Queen Vic is located on the H Street Corridor. It is a fun pub and event space. I like the royal theme. Check the web site for hours since they vary. The DC Street car runs by H Street. The area can be sketchy at night. Stay with your group and have a cross body bag. It can get crowded on weekends. The menu is typical British pub food.“

“My favorite chocolate bar is Cadbury's Starbar. Since Dean & Delucca closed, it is challenging to find it in DC. Eastern Market has a cute stand inspired by Britain. There is a selection of treats and food you would find in Britain. No worries, you can leave your passport at home! I am willing to pay more for something that is an easy commute from my house. During the week, it is easier to find parking.“

“We came to this place 5 years ago and HAD to come back because we loved it.The drinks are fantastic and the service is perfect. My problem is it’s not the same place. It’s basically a Thai Restaurant now. They maintained the original name, which is nice, until you want to order; then it’s called Thaiverse DC. It doesn’t have the same vibe. It’s brighter. The stage is gone. It feels more “high end” for lack of a better description. Not knocking it for what it is. It just isn’t my kind of dive anymore. 5 stars nonetheless.“

“Dined last.night in a quiet booth (near the bathrooms). Had a reservation, luckily, as the place was slammed. Even so, our server got our drinks and great food to us without a hitch. I'd highly recommend for anyone wanting a good dining experience near The Mall which doesn't break the bank.“
