“Awesome venue, Afghan dishes were great and reminded me of the food in the middle east. Only issue was they were out of lamb which caused us to change up our food choices. Would prefer if that happened the business would advise you before sitting down. Overall great experience!!“

“Funny enough, this place was mentioned in a Reddit thread for hidden gems in DC. The food was highly praised, and the original poster gave a special shout out to the website (I highly recommend checking it out; it’s seriously a delight). This was enough for me to check it out for myself, and it was absolutely fantastic. Super reasonable prices, the girl who made my food was so sweet, and everything I had was delicious. I got a pork belly bahn mi and chicken spring rolls with peanut sauce.Solid food, solid experience ?“

“Food is absolutely delicious and the staff at Himalayan Doko are the kindest! We ate family style and all the dishes were so full of flavor. The Tandoori Chicken Wings and the Lamb Rogan Josh were my favorites, but you can't go wrong with any dish - everything I tried was delicious.I am also so, so appreciative of how they were able to accommodate our reservation of a large party (20+ people). We had a great time and our time here was very memorable. One of my favorite restaurants in D.C., I will be back!“

“The tandoori chicken (asked them to make it extra spicy) is the best I’ve had in the city. Comes with rice/naan and chickpeas. Not ideal to dine in though. Just take out.Unlike most reviews here I do NOT recommend the butter chicken. Tangy/sour, runny and a strong tomato flavor and a whole lot of food coloring. Not authentic.“

“We were visiting from NewJersey and looking to stop by to eat. It was early evening, around 4pm. I got a tandoori paneer bowl. That is THE best restaurant food I ate in the recent times. I loved their service, the quality of their ingredients, and their innovative soft serve (masala chai flavored !). This is the THE restaurant to go to in this area. Do visit and you won't be disappointed.“

“I eat here once or twice a week and it's consistently great. They serve huge portions of delicious food and the staff is super nice. You can't go wrong here if you're in the mood for or something fast, tasty, and inexpensive. Lamb/chicken with rice or the gyro are my go-to and they never disappoint. Bonus points because the owner looks a bit like Lou Ferrigno“

“All vibes. Esthetics were dope..especially for us hoop heads! Wings with the house sauce are a must order. All staff were very welcoming and made sure we had everything we needed. Service was fast considering the amount of orders while we were there. Would definitely return again and would recommend to anyone looking for a good meal in the DC area.“

“The chicken gyro salad is delicious. The flavors are rich and well balanced. The chicken is moist and tender with perfect gyro flavor. The salad is crisp and fresh, and the accompanying sauces and feta round out the perfect finish for a quick, healthy, and delicious lunch.“

“Restaurant was clean, food was great, and although I didn't get the name of the person who helped us they gave great service too. Even tried leaving a tip, although he couldn't take it, so that's how I know everything was even more genuine.“

“Finally a delivery order I could be excited about. Food is excellent, very fresh and flavorful. The portion was great with a side of extra chicken in the bag (very unexpected). The sauces are addictive and the delivery was very quick! The price was reasonable. I'm impressed and will order again!“

“Solid, generic Chinese takeout with a few tables and good food. I've been eating here for 25 years since it's in my neighborhood. Only a block and a half way from Embassy Row, it is sometimes a good place to people watch when you eat.“

“We had a pretty good overall experience at Moby Dick. I would call this 'fast casual+' Atmosphere/interior: clean Service: no true service as you order at the counter, but the cashier was helpful and kind. 10/10 Food: -Spicy Chicken Kabobs and Lamb Combo Plate with Rice. The chicken was ground chicken but it lacked flavor. The lamb was quite tasty despite it being cooked well done. 6.5/10 -Gyro Plate with Rice and Salad. Surprisingly, this what we enjoyed the most. The gyro meat isn't cooked in a rotisserie, but still quite tasty. The meal came with some pita bread so we were able to make our own mini gyro wraps. 7.5/10 Torshi, small. For me it was way to sour. Probably really good for the gut, but my friend really liked it. 6/10 Baklava. Still flaky. 7/10 Overall: nothing we had knocked off our socks, but if I'm in the mood for middle eastern food and I'm in the area I'd eat it again. 7/10“
