“The menu had too many good options and I wish I could come here all the time to get through the entire menu. During this trip, we tried the ube milk and the mango yuzu black tea. Both with boba of course. The ube milk was made with real ube so it was starchy like a potato, thick like a watered down milk shake, and really delicious. It wasn't sweet to me, it felt like a dessert vs a drink. The real winner was the mango yuzu black tea. It was also made with real mango fruit puree and tasted like a mango fruit leather. Bursting with flavor from the mango and had a zing from the yuzu, it was the perfect drink for the warmer weather outside. The boba was also so soft and chewy. This was a true boba place. And it was literally ran by one guy. If I lived in DC, this would be my go to boba drink place for sure.“

“The much-anticipated sister restaurant of Purple Patch opened just a few weeks ago and I'm already hooked! It's a lovely addition to the neighborhood, offering a simple menu with a lot of flavor. The wagyu burger is nicely balanced, and depending on your appetite you can get a single to a triple patty. The ube soft serve with coconut is such a hit and the flavors are perfect. It's been really busy for good reason, so you might have to wait in line especially on really nice days, but service is pretty fast and they also have an order online link. Enjoy the outdoor seating on a nice day! Indoor area is small but very pretty, and stools with counter-style tables lining the interior. Very kid friendly as well as they have a kids' menu,' tables, and neighborhood kids' art on the walls. You can also purchase a few Filipino snacks like v-cut chips and boy bawang (garlic corn nuts), and they also have some canned non alcoholic and alcoholic beverages available. With the addition of Joia Burger, the owner Patrice really shows how much she cares about the Mount Pleasant community and is invested in it. It's a great spot to swing by for a quick meal and friendly faces!“

“Wonderful options! Tried a flight of chocolate mint, strawberry, four oranges of the apocalypse ice creams and watermelon sorbet. I think my favorite for this sunny day were strawberry ice cream and watermelon sorbet as they both were refreshing after a looooooong run! I'd "ice cream" for Chocolate mint anytime as it's very chocolatey and minty. A hint of mint chunks are amazing within this scoop! You can't go wrong with this choice really! Four oranges of the apocalypse ice cream is nice and zesty. It'd be elevated with some orange zest! But it's smooth, light acidic and citrusy flavor. I'd come back to try seasonal flavors! Until next time! The service was friendly and quick! Staff were very hospitality and welcoming. Sitting around is nice as it's very chill to people watch from window if you're lucky to grab that seating.“

“This place is fantastic! Extremely nice staff who are very patient with new customers trying different flavours. I highly recommend the strawberry. It is otherworldly. I also had a scoop of the green tea. It was quite good but not in the same league as the strawberry“

“This place is like a tiny apothecary filled with very beautiful and expensive treats. There were beautiful single source chocolates and packets of pasta that looked like art. The bagel I got was perfectly functional, good for a walk, but I would come back to get a gift or a special treat for someone.“

“Locally owned, Moorenko's is an ice cream shop in Eastern Market with a vast menu of flavors, including dairy-free options. My daughter enjoys the milk chocolate ice cream with marshmallow and sprinkle toppings. They also have a chocolate chip cookie dough option with plenty of dough inside. The ice cream is pricey compared to the place inside nearby Eastern Market, but it is good!“

“This spot is located in the same building as Wiseguy Pizza and Khin Sushi. I was greeted immediately which is always a plus. They have a good variety of flavors to choose from. I'm a chocolate lover so I chose the Reeses and and Red Velvet flavors. Both were rich, creamy and tasty. The red velvet didn't really taste like red velvet to me but it was delicious. It just didn't give that signature flavor. Since they are located at the same counter as the sushi restaurant, it doesn't really feel like a gelato or ice cream shop but that isn't a dealbreaker. I would visit again.“

I'm surprised at these lower rated reviews because I've never had an issue with jetties and I've been ordering from them for over 10 years .“

“My children and I go here for a treat and the gelato is very good; so far we’ve tried grapefruit, tiramisu, and almond flavors. All of it was yummy. The scoop sizes are pretty generous too. It’s right by the fountain and there’s benches for ample seating outside that overlooks a nice view. I’ve always had really positive experiences with service—the staff here are kind.“
