based on reviews and dc reputation i had high expectations and unfortunately was underwhelmed overall especially by their speciality, mezzi rigatoni. no one at the table liked the whipped ricotta crostini, the bread to cheese ratio is out of balance, way too much cheese and too little bread.now for the good. we enjoyed the squid ink linguini. the mafalde is excellent, definitely recommend. while food overall was not bad, i don’t think we will return. however, i am not recommending against others trying this restaurant, just not for us.

Pretty basic food for $100 for two. Had the rigatoni, the mushroom pasta dish and a couple glasses of wine. I liked the interior of the restaurant and the staff was friendly

This is a busy place, and that's understandable. The food is simply presented, not ostentatious. Ingredients expertly prepared. The dishes are delicious and satisfying. We were delighted with the good natured, helpful staff. This is not always the case when you are bringing along a 3 year old ;)We all thoroughly enjoyed the experience.PSThis is not the place to go if you are looking for a California wine. Expand your horizons!

We’ve been here before for take out and after trying the food and seeing the atmosphere we were DEtErMiNED to return.Arancini was very crisp on the outside and soft in the inside + flavorful, bread was very yummy too!Loved the pasta. The garganelli with spicy lamb sausage was reminiscent of Uyghurs noodles slightly. The squid ink linguini was very flavorful and the pasta was cooked to perfection. When we asked for dessert menu the server gave us a card instead of the actual menu and it was then I realized I was getting proposed at here!!! It was very very sweet and the staffs were all in it.Anyways, after the proposal and I said yes, they brought the real dessert menu and we shared the carrot cake for our dessert. Carrot cake was moist, not overly sweet, paired with the ginger gelato was great!Great neighborhood restaurant, intimate atmosphere, definitely recommend checking it out!!!And huge huge thank you to all the staffs that helped making the night extra special and sweet ?

We were bowled over by this place. We got there at 4.45pm as a walk in and were sat straight at the bar. Get there early if you want a seat! The food was absolutely outstanding, but Andrew the lovely bar waiter was the highlight of the night for us. He was so warm. informative and professional. Very much recommended.

This restaurant needs to update their walk in policy for the bar. It is first come first serve, which sounds great. But they don’t keep a list of who came in first so when multiple groups are waiting they have to fight for seats when they open up. Awful experience.

Great experience! The staff were friendly and offered great recommendations. 5/5, 10/10, good stuff. The lighting was warm, and everyone was having a good time. Not a noisy place.

Super fun, boisterous, loud, Italian place. Nice vibes. We had a party of 12, young kids and adults, and had a set menu. Huge amounts and food for sure. You will not leave hungry.I thought the food was very good, not great. However, the service was better than great, I mean it was really great. For example, when the 5 year old only wanted pasta with butter, the staff immediately and graciously got it.I would absolutely go back again, for the experience.
