The people made this place. These people are having a good time doing lovely things with food. Jokes, laughs, take-care-of-you fun. I sat at the bar upstairs and had a really lovely, convivial time. I started by ordering a tiki-ish cocktail that the bar tender nailed. I loved that the barback was into it such that they went out of the way to find a cute umbrella to go on top. We came to DC for the Cherry Blossom season a few weeks ago. We saw great reviews online so decided to make a reservation for this restaurant. After our wonderful meal and experience here, it’s easy to see why this place had maintained their Michelin star rating since 2016. Wife and I live in DC. We go 4 or 5 times per year. Best dinning experience in DC. Don’t even read the menu. Let Bonnie great server, just bring you food and wine pairings. Blow you away. We usually sit at the upstairs bar. Chefs table was great as well. The wine flight is worth every penny. Bring your Amex!
