“Sunny South Florida spring is all about enjoying the outdoors and sharing a good meal with family and friends. Driftwood was the perfect place to do both. They have a nice beer, cocktail, and wine selection. One of my dinner companions chose the Copperpoint Bees Squeeze - a light beer, perfect for the warm breezy evening. To start, I really wanted to try the fried chicken oysters while others wanted to try to the beef empanada, so why not both? The chicken was moist, perfectly fried, and the mac & cheese spaetzle was out of this world, especially with the tang of the few pickle slices on the plate. The beef empanada really hit the spot - it was a great combination of the fried dough, succulent meat, and pickled onions. We had to order two, because one is too little to share between three people. In no time, our main entrees arrived by really knowledgeable and friendly staff. We couldn't keep our forks out of the others' dishes, because all were so different and delicious. The rigatoni had just the right amount of bite and every crevice of the pasta was covered in a delicious bolognese sauce and sharp cheese. The chicken and dumplings brought me back to growing up in Tennessee (except this dish was better!). You know how you get a plate of chicken and dumplings and there's never enough dumplings? Not this time. The dumplings were plenty, the chicken was moist and tender, the sauce was seasoned just right, and the celery and parsley leaves gave it a really bright flavor. And finally, the shrimp and grits was hearty with large shrimp well-cooked, smothered in a slightly spicy sauce. I could eat that plate for breakfast lunch and dinner... every day. We were all very happy with all aspects of our meal, and look forward to trying the dishes that we gawked at all night at other people's tables!“

“I found this lovely restaurant via Google. I was a little apprehensive about going because, as a fellow Haitian, our restaurants can be a little much. Upon my arrival, I was greeted by a young lady who showed me to a table and given a menu. We chatted a little about my first time being here and how nice the restaurant looked. I gave my order, and the turnaround was awesome. I ordered the fried turkey with rice and red beans. My food was hot, fresh, and flavorful. As I was eating, the owner of the restaurant came out and chatted with me. The customer service was A1. I will definitely recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a real deal Haitian restaurant. Thank you for the experience. I'll be back again.“

“I enjoy the restaurant and service. The food without Sunday Gravy is very good. We found the Sunday Gravy too sweet. Usually Sunday Gravy is delicious and a favorite. Chicken wings delicious, Salmon was delicious and cooked perfectly. The eggplant parm with the Sunday gravy was disappointing.“

Everyone we encountered gave a warm welcome as they were dashing around working, nice vibe.The Tuna Tartare appetizer was out of this world. “Perfect anniversary dinner. Waiter and Staff were incredibly accommodating and whole the price tag looked hefty walking in the add ins throughout the meal and after were an unexpected surprise (especially these days) that took our special occasion over top. Oh, and the food was outstanding. Stuffed hogfish and Bison Rib Eye were both cooked to perfection.“

“My boyfriend and I love Rocco’s Tacos so much that we make a point to seek one out every time we are in Florida. So far, we have visited West Palm, Orlando, and tonight, Delray. Our bartender, Pete, made the whole experience SUCH a pleasant one. He was extremely personable and witty, and is the reason we will make a concerted effort to visit this location again. The kitchen was closing as we got there, but Pete went above and beyond to make sure he got our food in promptly (which still came out just as delicious, might I add), as well as made the best drinks we’ve had at a Rocco’s thus far. “The Ambassador Grille is a gem. Service was great, staff was kind and informative. Very friendly. We went for dinner, To start we ordered Deviled Eggs and I was pleased, this happens to be one of the few places that has deviled eggs on the menu and they were so tasty. I ordered the lobster risotto and the lobster was fantastic, the risotto was creamy but not mushy, it honestly was cooked perfectly. He ordered the Chicken quesadilla, and it was cheesey and crispy the salsas were super fresh and absolutely brought the quesadillas to life. For dessert we ordered a creme brulee and it didn't disappoint, the berries were fresh and delicious and the creme brulee was delicate and creamy.Very great experience, I do recommend this for a special occasion or date night you wont be sorry.“

“Atlantic Avenue is riddled with bars however 99% of them are “for the gram” and looks pretty lame… Atlantic Avenue Yacht Club looks and feels like an actual bar… (the sad thing is I think it’s affiliated somehow by the same lame bars next door…)“

The food was fine--even excellent, and the prices about on par with upscale Italian, which seems to be the vibe. We had a new server; he was an absolute hot mess, though I'm sure he'll be fine in a week. He'll learn. But the point of this review is the manager and the rest of the staff around the server. I found them all exceedingly courteous, and in particular, I thought the manager handled our concerns with patience and class and receptiveness. I was set to get a fruit bowl next door during my lunch and noticed their Special sign and decided to give it a try. Well I'm so glad my stomach had a change otherwise I couldn't post a review about this Hidden Gem!! This place is family owned( no, not my family I'm just a foodie customer), super friendly mom, dad and son. They cater more to sea food menu but I am currently in love with their enchilada special as well as that homemade salsa that is fantastic. I mean it's so spicy but I can't help dumping the entire thing on my plate. I have seen others eating seafood plates and shrimp cocktails.. their food looked to be hearty and plentiful to me work the price. “Went for Mother's Day. Had a lovely time with my family and delicious food. My kids loved the Shirley Temples which came with strawberry, cherry and a pink flamingo garnish. I loved the emperor roll and the tuna nachos were amazing. We also had the lobster Benedict and the sunrise burger. They had live music and it was a beautiful day.“
