The food and service was great. I'll admit stopping at a Cracker Barrel while driving to Disney is a bit of a pastime for me so I'm a little biased. The new spicy stingy chicken was delicious and of course, the rest of the food was great. The service was great but was a bit slow to take our orders, we were in a bit of a hurry as it was getting dark and still had another few hours of driving.

Went with my best girlfriend on Sunday night. We both ordered Country Fried Steak, she had greens, spiced apples and dumplings. I had steak fries, dumplings and spiced apples. Food was fantastic! Our server Tiffany was the best! Very friendly and attentive. I ordered the chicken pot pie to take home to my mother. It's huge and looks delicious! I love the atmosphere here too. Very laid back, old country, family chill vibe. Just a great place to visit. Ive been going to Cracker Barrel for like 30 years. Always a great experience.I forgot to take pics of the food, but next time we visit, I promise to update with pics of the food. :)

Place really is miserable. The staff just don't want to be there.I went on Thursday 5/16 at about 11am, it took about 5 minutes for someone to show up to the host station just to seat us. I sat at the table for at least 10 minutes without being acknowledged.Someone finally acknowledged me to let me know someone would be with me shortly. I gave them my order instead of waiting any longer and they did not seem to be happy about it. They went away to do whatever it is they were going to do.Another 10 minutes goes by and I still don't even have my drink I ordered. That's when I got up and left.Over 20 minutes of waiting and couldn't even get a drink. The restaurant was near empty, there were maybe eight tables and I counted at least 3 servers.Honestly, it's not even the first bad experience I have had at a Cracker Barrel but it will be the last. Go elsewhere, they don't offer anything you can't find somewhere else, probably better too.

Judging from the reviews, I must have come at a bad time. At any rate, when I walked in the store I had to rate the store before I could even purchase a bar of soap.I was interested and the fried Chicken so I asked my server if it was cooked to order if it had been sitting out for a while which she said it had only been cooked 15 minutes ago. That was blatantly untrue. I believe she also put the food order at the same time as my salad order because everything came out cold.I ate the leg and the wing but trying to eat a cold rest and especially a cold thigh was just not going to happen. As I was entering the store, there was a lady that had evidently cursed out her server. That is something I would not do. I just won't come back to Cracker Barrel. Then of course you have to write the restaurant before it will process your payment which I found to be extremely uncomfortable since I was extremely unhappy. I think that whole rating system is unnecessary to the dining experience.

It is the restaurant to go when you want to eat authentic American traditional dishes. Large portions. I regretted that my chicken pompiers didn't have enough chicken. The store attached to the restaurant is full of great gift ideas.

I was curious to try the "new" chicken tenders. It's nothing more than fried chicken. Probably a good appetizer for a party. I won't order it again. The table in front of me was full of dirty dishes piled up and ignored. After half an hour, I asked the hostess if someone could clean up.I don't know what to say....
