“This was my first visit to BG Robata Sushi and I was impressed with both the food and the kindness of service. The restaurant itself is located in Bayside Bridge Plaza, near the center corner.The interior of the restaurant was open, airy and clean. Very comfortable and welcoming with a traditional sushi restaurant feel (No TVs, or gaudy decorations). Calm jazz and traditional music discreetly filled the air. There's a large comfortable bar, which I chose (though it does not have a footstep, so I used a neighboring chair for this purpose since I'm short). An open area kitchen behind the sushi bar was a pleasant surprise. There was table seating with half-booth style benches against the wall. No true booths though, for those that may be wishing a more secluded eating experience. I actually prefer this though my wife (who was not with me at the time) always prefers booths.I ordered Asahi beer with the sashimi lunch special and a side Japanese bagel roll. The sashimi special (pictured) was quite delightful as they included octopus, conch and crab salad with the traditional tuna, salmon, yellow tail, and escalar. These were bedded on fresh, crisp lettuce and beautifully displayed. It also included soup or salad. I chose the miso soup which came out nicely hot and flavorful. All the sashimi was clearly fresh and well kept.A wonderful eating experience!Parking: Typical shopping center parking.Kid-friendliness: Several high chairs were visible.”

We sat down with the baker and chose three different flavors for our cake and showed her a picture of how we'd like the cake. The wedding was a Harry Potter themed wedding and she followed everything in the picture and more! The cake was gorgeous and was truly magical. They took care of us promptly and efficiently in a friendly manner. We started with the Daily News Shrimp appetizer which was delicious. We moved on to the Chicken Marsala which was very good and the Grilled Branzino which was even better. It was nice to have a meal that included some vegetables. That’s hard to find these days. The servings were large enough to have some leftovers—always appreciated. I do wish their wine list was a little better and cocktails would have been nice. In any case, the nice staff make up for any shortcomings. I’ll be back and I’d like to try their other location on Ft Harrison in Clearwater.”

From fresh cheeses and breads to Italian veggies (the Broccoli Rabe is amazing) to delicious meatballs and braciole to antipasto and side dishes to full dinners ... it's all here! As you enter the front door, you're transported to NY, and greeted by the friendliest people - who will make you feel like one of the family. The only item I missed was fresh caponata; although they had good bottled caponata, it's not the same as fresh. Prices are reasonable and the quality of the food is not to be missed. Mangia!!”

“My husband and I were in Clearwater on vacation celebrating our anniversary! We decided to do the sunset cruise and loved it so much! This was one of our favorite parts of our trip. They took us out for a 2 hour cruise around the area, we got to see dolphins and listen to music along the way while getting to watch the sunset. They were so sweet to have a happy anniversary card and shoutout while the cruise was going. We even got to hear the song we had our first dance to which I know wasn't planned but still so cool to hear! The food was yummy and they also provide you with free drinks with the dinner buffet. “What a walk down memory lane this is!!! We haven’t been to Bobby’s Bistro, or its more upscale sister restaurant the Beachcomber in years. Twenty years ago, these two restaurants were the absolute “It” place, the best in Tampa. Amazingly, the decor is exactly the same as 20 years ago but somehow doesn’t look dated at all. The food was fantastic. We met George, our server, who is a bit of a celebrity, and he was super nice and gave me a supersized shot! Glad to give this notable establishment a great review!”

“We stumbled upon this place and very glad that we did. The atmosphere was laid back and cozy of course with a streetwise view. We didn't know what to expect yet surprisingly the food was very very good. We ordered the steak sandwich and the fish and chips. I appreciated that I was able to have the mixed shredded cheese on my sandwich because that is what I mostly prefer and not every restaurant has this option. I've never been to a restaurant that serves Tilapia for the fish and chips dish so that was very great! Our server was very nice, knowledgeable about the menu and consistently checked on us. We will visit again.”
