I went for an event and bar service was terrible. Unfortunately, the people at the bar didn't know how to make drinks. The food was alright. The entrance of the location smelled like sewer water. I've been to many reception locations and this location is at the bottom of my list.

A week post wedding and I didn't want the opportunity to pass without thanking everyone at La Jolla Ballroom, especially Raul M. My wedding was everything I dreamed of. Raul worked with us from the very beginning and the night of was excellent. Raul was so responsive and nice throughout the planning phase, making sure everything was up to our wish list and at the wedding party he ran everything on point. The entire staff was super nice and professional. The place looked spectacular and the food was delicious. Glorimar and staff were amazing to work with. Made my whole wedding experience stress free along with my planner JenCraftsEvents. Glorimar was the sweetest, nicest, most humble lady ever. They were so organized and professional it was such a pleasure working with them. However, Yera went above and beyond to make sure I was always taken care of!! He always answered all my calls replied to all my emails super fast and he was always available. Planning a wedding is so stressful but La Jolla and especially Yera took the stress out of planning a wedding. Everything was so smooth sailing I will forever be so appreciative to Yera and La Jolla team!Food: The food was amazing!! I received about 20 compliments the night of my wedding about how great the food was! Usually wedding food is not very tasty and pretty bland but not La Jolla's food! La Jolla's food was seasoned and cooked to perfection.Service: The service the day of the wedding was phenomenal! The staff was so attentive and pleasant. They all worked very hard to ensure all the guest needs were catered to. I never and to ask for anything the night of the wedding. It was almost as if the staff could read my mind. My water was always topped off! Because my husband and I were taking pictures during cocktail hour we were not able to attend our cocktail hour. However, La Jolla staff brought the cocktail hour outside to us! This was so nice to have some yummy hors' doeuvres and cold glass of water in Miami's September heat! This was such a nice gesture that shows that La Jolla really does go above and beyond!Price: La Jolla offered the best price from all the other catering packages we saw.
